JFC Unilocal, you say there is nothing wrong with your review algorithm and yet there at 40FOURTY reviews of Tranquility that don’t show up on the main page. Get your shit together and give this business a fair shot at honest reviews. Fourty. Like the number of days and night Jesus spent trying to figure out how you people can say you’re unbiased. Pfft.

Wonderful experience every time. Just a hair color and cut is like spending time at a relaxing spa. A consistently great experience that I always look forward to.

My sister and I booked an entire day at the spa with a variety of treatments. I arrived 15 min prior to my first appt but wasn’t seen until 20 min after my scheduled time. My massage ran 10 min short. The massage therapist also did not bother to ask me any questions. This shocked me because I had noted on my spa sheet of some areas to avoid. I was put in the sauna without much instruction. Clothes? No clothes? There’s no lock on the door. My mani and pedi were each supposed to be 45 min with reflexology and both treatments combined ran 40 min in total with nothing more than a basic mani/pedi. The girl wasn’t informed that she was to give both a mani and pedi and rushed through the service because of it. The polish was also put on quickly and messy.(I was embarrassed for my nails to be seen when I left!) She didn’t apply a top coat and it chipped after 1 day. My sister had a pedicure that finished after her massage was supposed to start and the massage therapist said if she didn’t start the massage right away, she was going to have to cut it short because she had to leave in an hour to pick up her child from day care! I found it highly unprofessional to share this information. The pedicure running over was the result of our morning treatments starting late, which was the spas fault as we arrived early and they were understaffed. Overall, we spent a LOT of money there and definitely did NOT get what we paid for. The staff was friendly enough but they seem to be disorganized and not well informed of their clientele. We also spent the entire day there and the overall vibe was not very receiving or friendly. The treatments were all mediocre to poor. I wouldn’t recommend Tranquility Salon and Wellness Center to anyone.

The place is very nice inside, smells great, and the staff seems friendly. At first I tried calling multiple times to make an appointment and after calling about 5 times with no answer, I decided to stop in and make the appointment for over a month in advance. On the day of my appointment, I came in 30 minutes prior to my appointment time but was not taken back until 45 minutes after my appointment time. At that point, I was kind of upset and did not enjoy my massage(which ran 10 minutes short of the time I paid for). Perhaps this is a rare instance for the salon, but it was not a great impression. Maybe if I was offered something for the inconvenience, I would not have been so upset but I was not even made aware that they were running behind until I asked. People make appointments for a reason, usually because they have a schedule and not being punctual is kind of a pet peeve of mine. In the future, I will being going else where.
