Ooooo mmmmmyyyy gosh I loveeee this place and have never been inside. I’m at work so I called for a delivery($ 15 minimum). So first off I’ve never seen they’re menu whoever it was that answered the phone was amazingly patient with me. Customer service was above and beyond expectations. I swear he stayed on phone with me helping me figure out what I want. He also gave me no problem when I wanted to add meat on my Caprisy I’m not sure I spelled that correct but that’s what it sounded like he said. Not only did I add ham to it but I also had it toasted its sooooo good there’s mozzarella, pesto, and tomato and usually cold but geezzz it taste so good just the way it is… Lol with it being 9inches it was cut into 2 pieces. I got also a slice of pizza and when he said the slices were big I assumed big like the new York pizza slice more like half of that but I got sausage and bacon it taste like there’s jalapeño juice on it perrrfect. And last but least I ordered wings I haven’t tried them yet but they look good. There not huge but normal size there prices are very reasonable I paid like $ 20 bucks. Not only that but they put everything on sturdy paper plates had me feeling like I got leftovers from my moms house. And they also sent me with lots of condiments plastic utensils an plates for myself. Delivery was great and fast STEVEN smelled good hahaha and was very polite. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Super disappointing. The online ordering looked promising in that you could select amount of sauce, crust type, doneness, and even number of slices. Which I took advantage of. Unfortunately all 3 pizzas I ordered arrived the exact same, with none of the selections I had made represented. Also, while the site claims to have fresh/top ingredients, the«chopped garlic» was spooned on from that stuff in a jar. Underwhelming. I cannot even stand to eat the leftovers. Usually love that cold day-after pizza, but no appetite here.

We’ve been here 10+ times. Often the owner has been at he counter helping us. The service is top notch and the food is great! We’ve had the pasta, pizza, and wings. The meatballs are perfect! The white pizza is one of our favorites.

I don’t think you should be able to call something New York Pizza that is so seriously not New York Pizza. It’s like the rule about Champagne… We have passed this place several times since we love Beachplum and should have gone with our usual« Unilocal is usually right» rule. We ordered a pizza to be delivered Sunday night. Simple, half cheese. Half pepperoni. Besides the fact this was cut the most interesting way I’ve ever seen a pizza cut — it just has no flavor. The crust is literally cardboard. It was so hard and flavorless. Incredibly disappointed and still unfortunately searching for our go to pizza delivery place in the La Costa/Carlsbad area.

The subs are the ticket here. The pies are fine but the BBQ Chikn sando is the best in town. Trust me

Been coming here ever since I was a kid! Back before Conèpolis got put in, Allen’s used to be our go-to lunch spot before a movie. Even still, whenever I go to the Dove Library– which I do frequently– I always make sure to drop by Allen’s for a killer lunch at a great price. You can’t beat the quality, variety or value of their lunch combo specials. What can I say– I love this place!

I don’t eat out very often. This week my youngest turns 10! She wanted to go to a movie and pizza. We saw Zootopia which was awesome! Then we went next door to Allen’s New York Pizza. They has corn free soy free gluten free pizza. We had pesto sauce goat feta cheese and pineapple pizza. It was a 10 out of 10 night for my soon to be 10 year old !

Was looking for something that was off the beaten path and less crowded, I’ve had better pizza at Costco.

If you’re looking for pizza somewhere in the area — THISISTHEPLACE. Best thing in the store is easily the meatball sub. I spoke to the owner briefly and he told me that they make the bread and meatballs from scratch!!! YUM. Great place to bring the family, everyone so family.

The pizza is okay. The guy who has been the cashier has been rude the last two times I came here for a pie that I always pick up. Both times our pies have not been ready and he never offers an apology just snarky. Last time I come here for sure. I have heard he treats his employees with the same rudeness.

Such good pizza! We ordered 3 slices for $ 9.00, and the slices are LARGE New York style thin crust. I ordered take out of 2 pepperoni slices and one bacon cheddar. The bacon cheddar had large bacon bits and lots of cheese! The pepperoni also had an ample amount of meat on top. Only thing that I would hope to improve, although fast and efficient it would have been nice to see a smile or hear a welcome too…

Coming from a New Yorker… The pizza is awesome. My kids love the Meatballs. Thank you Allen for bringing a little east coast to Carlsbad.

Next door to Cinepolis! I’ve had pizza here a few times, and I’ve tried the Italian sub. The pizza slices are large, filling, and come in fun rotating flavors(ie. «Chorizo & Cheese»). I prefer going to Which Wich? for an Italian sub, so I don’t think I’ll get it here again.

I am really starting to wonder if the people who post reviews on Unilocal have the slightest clue as to what is good and what isn’t. I know some of you do. But if anyone thinks this place serves good food. You have extremely poor taste. This is some of the worst food I have ever tasted. Tasting it was all I good take. It was the worst pizza I ever had by far. Poor quality ingredients and the crust was awful. The salad was pathetic and the chicken winks sucked. All I could do was TAKEITOUTSIDE and throw it in the trash. How does a place like this stay in business? I just don’t understand it. If you can’t serve decent food you shouldn’t be in the restaurant business. I am loosing faith in Unilocalers who don’t know the difference between what good & bad is. If your a Unilocaler who can’t tell the difference between good and bad, you should just stay home and more importantly stay off of Unilocal.I’ m not speaking to everyone, but I am speaking to those who gave this place anything more than one star. Places like this should just go away so that something decent can give it a better shot. My guess is Unilocal will remove my review because I am talking about the reviewers they let review on there site. But they are partly to blame. Take my word for it. STAYCLEAROFTHISPLACE. You deserve better.

This is the only other pizza joint that will deliver to my house besides Flippin Pizza. I do enjoy Flippin but the last time they delivered to us they gave us a longer than usual wait time and it arrived cold. We figured we would try another place and were pretty disappointed. Allen’s pizza is super greasy and while we ordered it «well done» it came soggy. Even the crust tasted/looked grease soaked. I don’t suppose they use quality ingredients and I won’t eat there again. Save your money. It was like $ 30 for a large pizza and garlic bread. Nothing is cheap these days but to spend $ 30 on a pizza and bread and have them be completely unsatisfying? No thanks. I could have ordered Pizza Hut, got the same pizza and paid a lot less. Only reason I’m giving two stars instead of one is because my boyfriend said the person who took the order and the guy who delivered the pizza were great.

I order here at least once a month for company lunch-ins. While I have only managed to grab a slice once or twice what I have had is really delicious. But more importantly I love the service here. When I have to organize lunches for multiple people it is so nice to be able to give them a call, they have everything in the system to the point that I just have to give them our phone number and they know to time to deliver and what to. The food has always arrived right on the time that I have given them. Our Sales reps can be a picky bunch but I have never heard a complaint when we order from here.

I really, really want this place to be awesome. It’s close to where I live, has great staff and has«New York» in the name. On paper, it ticks all the boxes. Sadly, the pizza itself just isn’t that good. It’s not bad but, to me, it’s not an authentic NY style pizza. The crust is the biggest problem; it doesn’t have the elasticity and flavor of a true NY pie. The sauce is also slightly on the under-seasoned side. Toppings are good but that’s not what defines a good pizza. For me, it’s all in the crust and the sauce. I go back there every few months to see if it’s improved and I’m hoping to be positively surprised next time. Come on guys, you can do it! I don’t want to fly six hours for good pizza. :-)

This place is on my way to work so I wanted to give it a shot. It doesn’t hurt that my girl Trish loves this place. I couldn’t get the normal benchmark for a pizza joint that is a peperoni pizza because I was on my bike. I went with my back up staple, meatball sub. Superb, this thing was great. I think it was the owner that was helping me out and informed me they even bake their own bread and you can tell. I want to come back and get a pizza now!

This is a tiny spot made for order and go Italian. They offers some single slice options for under $ 3.00 and a few meal combo’s posted on the walls. It’s a pretty standard small pie spot but they deliver in my neighborhood so I’ve been wanting to stop in here and get a taste. I’m disappointed to say I just left here from having some of the worst pizza I’ve had in a long while. I ordered a pepperoni slice and a Thai chicken slice. The pizza came out fast, large and hot… but right off I noticed how greasy the pep slice was. I used 4 napkins to soak up some of the excess oil and still it was dripping off the end of it while I ate. The pepperoni slice was«ok» but there was nothing actually good about it. The Thai chicken slice was standard chicken, mozzarella slice with red onions and a drizzle of peanut sauce over it. It wasn’t a bad slice of pizza but it just wasn’t worth it. I ate half of each slice and called it done. Now here’s my problem… I really liked the service there and feel almost bad that they’re pizza was crap. The guy who helped us was very friendly and didn’t seemed bugged at all about me having him break down what was on each specialty pizza’s they were dishing up for single slices. He was informative, fast and friendly. I just wish they had better food. Most places I’d try twice but I doubt that will happen for me here.

Allen’s new york pizza is located right next to cinepolis. Stay tuned on the coming review for that place(once I finally have time to go!) Being the lone gal that I am until my husband arrives, it does not make sense for me to order an entire pizza. Granted I definitely should have turned to the sandwiches, but when I arrived I had my heart set on pizza. Barely $ 3/slice. I love that. However when I arrived, they only had veggie pizzas available. Don’t get me wrong. I love vegetables. However, when I’m going to a carb laden joint, I need to somehow inject protein into my diet. I believe they had one available by the time I left. I would just suggest that they better choose when to start making the next pizza, maybe when they dip less than half of the current pizza. I took one more star off because I was not wowed by this pizza. I have enjoyed quite a bit of pizza in the past week(my waistline knows it!), but I expect a fold in half kind of new york pizza. Granted mine was reheated as it was per slice, but my slice was crispy and cracked when I tried to fold it. I could be nitpicky. It was delicious, that’s true. If I had to choose between this place and ANY chain, I would choose this hands down. In fact I’m considering the delivery radius for future orders. It’s just not something I’d crave…
