Much like Christina P, I used to refuse waxing in favor of threading. I used to use a retinol on my face, which for those of you who don’t know, doesn’t play well with wax. I also moved away from my usual threading place, and stopped using the retinol, so I thought I’d give this a try. YES! It’s so, SO hard to find a good brow shaper, and I am super picky about my brows. Like, really picky. OCD status!
Anyhow, I am a big fan of this Benefit Brow Bar (BBB). It usually works out that I see Alex for my brows, and dang, that girl is GOOD with a popsicle stick covered in wax! Seriously, my brows look so fierce after she does them! I’ve also seen a couple other girls there, but I forget their names. They were both great as well! They also do wonderful brow tinting too! They take their time getting the right shape, and their wax is so gentle, barely hurts at all!

Until yesterday, I swore by eyebrow threading — it was the only method of eyebrow shaping I liked. But that all changed when I stopped by the brow bar yesterday. Dakota had previously helped me pick out some Benefit eye makeup and mentioned that I should come back when I wanted to get my eyebrows done… I just moved away from my old threading place so I figured i’d give it a try. WOW I am really glad I did — Dakota did an amazing job on my eyebrows! She kept the thickness of my brows which is important to me but still gave me an arch (the higher the arch, the closer to god, remember that ladies!) and my eyebrows look so defined. I was so happy when I walked out!
At $ 20 for a wax, it’s definitely not the cheapest wax out there, but you get what you pay for and it’s absolutely worth it. I’ve had my eyebrows waxed before and I can honestly say this was the best eyebrow wax of my life and I will most definitely be back to see Dakota.
