Cleverly nested at the entrance to the Carlsbad Library, this place is exceptionally delicious. As agent Dale Cooper said, «Damn good coffee!»
Admittedly, I didn’t order the coffee.
However, while having an enjoyable conversation with Belinda after handing me a cup of hot chai, I took my first sip and couldn’t help but suddenly become distracted by it’s startlingly smooth and sweet taste. I believe between her saying something like «books» and «technological progression of humanity», I was thinking «*&^%$ ME THAT’S GOOD!»…Had I actually verbalized my reaction to the drink, our conversation may have ended right there.

So if you’re heading to the Carlsbad City Library and you want some coffee but Starbucks gives you diarrhea, try this place out and I guarantee you will be impressed!

There’s no beter way for me to walk into the library than with a fresh hot cup of joe in my hands. Belinda behind the counter is like an encyclopedia on all things coffee and keeps a healthy selection of smoothies to enjoy on the days when I need to tone down my caffeine intake (yikes!). As a self-​confessed caffeine addict, it is a pleasure to see Belinda’s fine taste in coffee brews and tasty (but healthy!) snacks to go along. All I have to say is… YUM!

If you are looking for the best coffee in town, definitely check out Cafecito. Belinda was so helpful and she really knows her coffee. Belinda took her time with me and gave me an in-​depth lesson on the fine art of coffee roasting. They offer all types of coffee drinks and snacks. I also believe they are going to try to have entertainment on certain days/​nights. So if your looking for a great coffee, service and atmosphere, stop by Cafecito at the Carlsbad City Library.

Loved the grand opening welcome to your customers!!! The pastries were great and I loved the Mexican Hot Chocolate. I don’t drink coffee, but you made the hot chocolate just like my Mom’s. :-) I loved it!!! Very friendly service and I loved the tables and chairs outside so I can sit and read there. Thanks for bringing a coffee cart to the Carlsbad Library. :-)

Grand Opening is Jan 14^th from 1pm — 3pm with live music and menu sampling~so far the response has been very positive! Library patrons want the convenience of having a beverage and pastry service in this wonderful cultural space!
