Carlsbad Best Massage

I am a member of massage envy and I think I may have to cancel my membership. This place was awesome! I was definitely skeptical but decided to give it a try because the reviews on Unilocal are good and the price isn’t expensive. I had Lucy as my massage therapist (full body) and she was SOOO good. I will absolutely be coming back soon!

Wonderful surprise to find such a great place! I received a pregnancy massage as a gift from my husband. Tracy has strong hands and the atmosphere was super relaxing. And everything is very reasonably priced! You won’t be disappointed!!!

We had reservations at another spa, that ended up cancelling our massage 3 hours before our appointment due to their therapist getting sick. We found this place on Trip Advisor and were happy they were able to take us quickly for a same day appointment. This is a simple no frills establishment, with friendly staff. Perfect if you are looking for a good massage without paying for the added cost of an amenity Day Spa. We requested a Deep Tissue massage, and although it was more of a combo of Deep Tissue, Swedish, Shiatsu and Thai techniques, it felt amazing! Hit all the pressure points and sore muscles in 60 minutes, and walked away feeling great! Definitely recommend this place!

Not the best.
The massage was very repetitive.
She kept doing the same stroke with her forearm over and over again and her bony arm on my bony back did not feel good.
I used to manage a spa and have been a therapist myself so I have had hundreds and hundreds of massages and this was so-​so.
She didn’t seem to really know how to work on the neck which was my main complaint.
Parts of the massage felt great while others did not.
I have chronic pain issues and I was still in pain and tense two days later. I think a more knowledgable therapist could have done better work.
Also her English was so remedial she didn’t seem to understand when I told her that I was cold and needed a blanket. I had to say it various ways before she understood.
Ditto when I asked her to work on my neck.
I used the Unilocal deal so it wasn’t expensive but I probably wouldn’t go back.
The walls are also paper thin so you can hear everything that is said by the person getting massages in the next room. Which is fine unless they carry on a conversation.
I loved how it smelled like incense in here and they were very nice. I wish the massage was better.

Been doing the Asian massage experience in SD area for 2 decades and thought I’d give a neighborhood spot a chance. Very kind, efficient reservation process, warm welcome and inviting place. Clean and quiet. Lisa performed an adequate 1.5 hour massage («Kneed and roll») and worked hard to please. It was fine. For $ 85 bucks? Next time I’ll pay $ 50 down the street for the exact same experience. It got icky when the manager thought my $ 13 tip was insufficient. Told me 3x that 20% was appropriate and expected (in front of other guests!). Ouch. Didn’t need to be beat up twice! Won’t be going back…

Unbelievable! This place is amazing. You can’t beat the service or the price. I loved every one of the 90 minutes!

I haven’t had a massage in a few years. I am just so busy taking time out to go to a spa isn’t realistic. For the past few weeks my back and neck were so tight I couldn’t move and was in pain. Stress– A bunch of it. Monday morning I woke up and knew i had to do something. My husband told me to call a great spa he typically gifts me with. Nope. I needed something immediate and the reviews looked good. I called at opening time and made an appointment for an hour later.
I was dubious but Unilocal reviews looked great– Emily was my masseuse.
Holy Moly it was awesome! This is not the place if you are looking for a full spa experience. However if you are like me and need someone who knows what they are doing and will give you solid work this is your place!
I left my massage feeling sore. Two days later all is gone! Thank you sooooo much Emily! i will be back and truly appreciate your dedication to my back!

I go for massages a lot and this place is very good if you are looking for an inexpensive, no-​frills massage and/​or if you prefer to walk in rather than make an appointment. The first time i was there was right after they opened, and I was put off because the therapist asked for a bigger tip. I almost did not return, but the reviews were so good I gave it a second chance. I am glad I did. This time I had Emily, who gives a very firm massage, which i prefer. She can adjust the pressure if you like.

Best massage ever. Just got a full body massage I have ever had! A must return place!!!

We were in Carlsbad for a conference and tried Carlsbad Best massage. We had the 60 min massage plus 30 minute foot massage. $ 77 with Unilocal discount. The entire experience was excellent. The foot (which also includes shoulder and head massage) was in a quiet lovely room. Super relaxing. Highly recommended all the way around.

Amazing! What a nice surprise, found this spot on our way to CVS. We were a bit skeptical @ first but after our initial 60min foot massage we came back for more! This quaint little gem has large individual recliners that allow for total relaxation during the foot service then private rooms for full body. You will be sure to come back on a regular basis, sure wished I lived here!

I had the best reflexology massage here last month!
My wife called and was able to get us in at the exact time we needed. The woman who booked the appointments was incredibly friendly on the phone and in person.
We arrived 10 minutes early and were immediately brought back to our massage chairs to start our 90 minute massages. There was no time wasted at all and the therapists both applied the perfect pressure and let us relax and didn’t talk to each other once during our service (my wife’s biggest pet peeve). I think we both passed out at one point!
We left knowing we have found a location that provides excellent service and are planning to go back this week.

I am actually doing two reviews — one for foot massage and one for full body massage.
Foot massage ($ 40) 2 stars. The first part was fine, massage on front, foot massage, but they do not massage your back at the end. I was really looking forward to it because my lower back was aching from having my feet in the water. That angle puts pressure on the lower back. I have been to other foot massage places and this is the only time they have not massaged the back.
Full body massage ($ 60) — 4 stars– my therapist was Emily. She is very strong and gives an extremely deep massage. If you like hard, deep tissue, you will like her. I prefer massage with hands, and found she used her elbows too much, but other than that I thought she did a great job. It was a little odd after the massage when I was paying at the desk. The therapist follows you out and stands there while you’re paying – like waiting for a tip. I handed her the tip, but I think it’s nicer when they have envelopes at the desk to leave the tip in. They might think about doing this; it’s a better way to handle that. I will be back for sure.

I scheduled a massage for my wife based on the Unilocal reviews. She said it was fantastic and everyone was very friendly.

This is a great little place. Super nice people. Great vibe. The massage was delightful. You’ll love it.

My third visit here — love the staff and services offered. Really a great value and super relaxing.

It was freaking awesome. Went in for a foot massage and was surprised by a scalp, arms, shoulder and thigh massage also. I was in heaven for an hour

This place is fabulous! Truly the best massage and a great value. They’re open all the time and always friendly and accommodating. When you pay for 90 minutes you actually get the whole 90 minutes, unlike other places that take off 10 minutes for changing time.
I’ve had two massages with Mary and each time I’ve walked out feeling 10 years younger.
Buy the package and save even more. You will love this place.

The facility is very nice, clean, very zen. We came out very relaxed refreshed. l have nothing but good things to say about this facility. We will definitely be back again! Thank you to the staff that was present that day. We really appreciate you guys taking good care of us!
