Carlsbad Village Cleaners

I have been taking my business suits, shirts, slacks, bedding covers and just about everything else I need cleaned to this establishment for the better part of a year. I have never had a problem with them until recently. I took about 8 work shirts in to be cleaned and when I received my items back one of the shirts had brown marks all up one of the sleeves. It looked like some sort of grease they tried to remove. I brought it to the attention of the employee working there and she stated they would try and get it out. It didn’t work…
I ask the employee what is their policy to reimburse for damaged items and she replied that lots of people do this and I cant prove they did it. She was very rude and condescending. I reminded her that I have been using them for the better part of a year and have never had and issue with claiming damaged items in the past. I than brought up the fact they mark the items if there are stains when you bring them in for check-​in. There was nothing marked because they shirt just needed to be cleaned. She then stated there is nothing she can do and I am out an expensive shirt because they were careless. I wouldn’t use these cleaners nor would I recommend them to anyone else looking to have items cleaned.
In the future I am going to make any cleaner I use inspect all my clothes for stains and mark my ticket NO DAMAGE so if someone ruins an item again they cant just blame it on me and say «Prove we did it.»

This place is great, I’ve had to get suits done on very short notice and always help me out.

I am a fan. Easy parking, Open Mondays, seems to be a decent tailor and did a fine job pressing my pants. Pricing seems in line with others. The down fall is the location, this center always has the rough crowd due to the bar that’s practically open 24 hours and the homes behind the center… not the greatest.

I’ve only taken my comforter here but they always do a great job. It’s $ 30 for a queen size which is pretty reasonable and it’s ready in 3 days. Will definitely keep going back!

Saved my life when another cleaner messed up a formal dress clean. They solved the problem, cleaned the dress perfectly in less than 24 hours! I will never go anywhere else!

I was disappointed in this cleaners and more disappointed in myself that when things weren’t working out right that I didn’t just take my stuff and find another place to go. I took in four curtains to be altered. They told me ten dollars each. I took them in on a Wednesday and they said they’d be ready to pick up Friday. Friday I went to pick them up and the curtains were not even at the shop but at the seamstresses house. I was then quoted Monday. Do you think they were ready by Monday? Nope. Not even by the following Friday! (A simple hem is all that was needed). When I finally got mt curtains ²¹⁄₂ weeks after promised day they cost 30.00 dollars more than price quoted! When I asked to talk to the owner I was given such the run around I gave up.
They get one star cuz they were hemmed correctly. But to my dismay after I hung them up I discover 3 stains on them. This had to be from seamstress as they were new out of package when I took them to this place and they went right from their hangars to my curtain rod. I am soooo angry or I wouldn’t be taking time to write this. Complaining o them does no good. Best advice? Stay clear away from this overpriced unprofessional place!

The ladies at Carlsbad Village Cleaners saved my bacon this weekend. Some nameless idiot forgot to take my suit to the cleaners and didn’t remember till the day OF the Christmas party. I brought in a linty wrinkled suit and a brand new shirt in the package at almost noon. When she asked when I needed it back and I told her 4:00 and to my surprise she didn’t laugh at me and kick me out. She listened to my sad story and looked at my suit and thought for a moment… «It’ll be ready about 3:30» she said!
I come back at 3:38 and there it is… Hanging on the rail at the counter waiting for me. Crisis averted!!!
Now the scary part. It’s my experience that special requests and time crunches at the dry cleaners are wallet busters. So I ask what I owe and she gives me a number. I look at the wall where the pricing is ans exclaim «That’s regular price!» And she looks at me and laughs and says «Yep».
Guess what? I have a new dry cleaners.

I have been coming here for a couple years now and have finally decided it’s time to switch. Over the past couple of years I have had stripped buttons, their prices are not great, the lady at the front is NOT friendly (although she is efficient), they have a sign that says they clean in house but they have told me my clothes have been sent to other locations, the environmentally friendly sign is so old it is hard to believe it’s true and the final straw was they charged me $ 4.25 to clean my 5 year old’s t-​shirt that was accidentally left with several nice slacks I dropped off to be cleaned. C’mon…I’m outta here.

My go-​to cleaners. They almost always do an excellent job — and when they don’t they make it good. For example, they reimbursed (in the form of equivalent dry cleaning credit) for a shirt that came back with some mystery discolorations.
Alternations are inexpensive, but I can’t put their capabilities in the same category of a top-​notch tailor.
I’m satisfied enough.

Family owned. Extremely friendly, environmentally friendly.
They use green products and know how to get things done on time.
The prices are reasonable and the only place I know that will give the best quality for my selective expensive garments.
Highly recommended, 5 stars might be a bit extreme but I couldn’t be more impressed with the quality and price.

They’re sooo friendly! My clothes are always ready, even if i want it the same day! One time, I went earlier than the promised pick-​up time, and my clothes were ready for pick-​up. Their alterations are the best!
