So happy to find a Chipotle in what felt to me like a pretty remote area. Keep in mind I live in LA though where there’s Starbucks and Chipotle aplenty. I was down here for a fitness training seminar and needed some good protein and this franchise is a great place to get it! The service here is what made this a complete five star experience. So friendly and eager to please. Delicious steak salad bowl! I love Chipotle!

My daughter just left there and wants me to give Unilocal about the service. Two stars because cashier was nice, but the server was rude, rolling her eyes, and sloppy. What happen to good customer service.

Are you kidding me? Another amazing meal. I travel a lot for work. I rest assured knowing I can always rely on a warm, healthy, delicious meal from Chipotle. They made me by chicken bowl with tortillas on the side. I would have given them a 5-Star rating but I don’t like the noise or feeling rushed when I order. I love the Via Mercato store. I try to stop by at least once a week. See you soon, Mark

The restaurant was so dirty! I ate my entire meal before they had any ice tea. The cashier wanted to give me $ 7 in quarters because she didn’t know where the $ 1 where! The worse experience!

I love this place and location. The food is fresh. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I have to refrain from eating here everyday! I wish there was a salsa bar though!

My daughter and I just left there. We had such excellent service from all the guys working there. We were actually there during their shift change and each of the people we came in contact with were exceptionally friendly and service oriented. Whoever’s doing the hiring over there is doing awesome job.

This is a brand spanking new and nicely done Chipotle located right in La Costa. The word hasn’t exactly gotten out about this place yet, which is cool with me… Walked out after a workout and the place was empty and about as clean as can be. Was greeted by friendly employees and quickly served. The cool thing about chipotle is you kinda know what to expect(consistency and freshness), this location is no different. The steak was juicy, veggies were fresh and the guac was delicious. Overall, can’t really complain. Pros– Consistency Taste Price Location Service Cleanliness Cons– A bit tough to find

I call this location chipotle light, they usually give about half as much meat and toppings in their bowls as when I order at the other location a little further away but still great food

I love Chipotle. We eat at my office at least 2 – 3 times a week at Chipotle. This one opened up close to the office. We have ordered 6 times from them and each time has been horrible. I have NOIDEA what is going on with this location but someone please help them! I ask for extra cheese, I get none. Side of chips and guac — we get chips, no guac. Soggy rice. No side of hot sauce or sour cream. This is how it is all the time there! Corporate please come and help these people. We will be driving to another location until this place gets up to par.

I’ve never been to a Chipotle before and thought I’d give it a try. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a very friendly woman behind the counter. I told her I’d never been before so she explained the whole thing to me. I was directed to a line, not very long, and gave them my order. Chicken salad, black beans and brown rice. Yum! The chicken was cooked well and had a great flavor and it went perfectly with the hot sauce I chose as the topping. The customer service was stellar from each person I came into contact with. I am definitely going back!

I could eat at Chipotle every day of my life. Not even kidding! Burrito bowI and tacos are my go to. I love the flavors of the rice, beans, meat(carnitas is my favorite, folllowed by barbacoa), and even the grilled veggies if I am not in a meat mood. And the corn salsa. Oh the corn salsa! Get 2 scoops! Don’t forget the chips & guac. So perfect, always. This location is really nice — very clean and modern. The employees are super nice. More so than other locations I’ve frequented.

Why do you go to Chipotle? To get the same quality of food and portions of meals that you can expect consistently at every Chipotle. I came in around 230 and the place was empty. While ordering my burrito bowl I had to ask for more rice twice and more beans twice because the initial servings barely covered the bottom of the bowl. Eventually the burrito bowl was created the way all other chipotles I’ve been to create them. It tasted good and the food was of the same quality just a little frustrating to have to ask for what should be the standard amount customer service was fine. One of the burrito makers actually open the door for me which was nice. Minus one star for the preparation of the bowl

Love this place, pretty friendly and awesome people working here. I always get a bowl, but it’s always good everytime so I don’t need to ever change it. I only come here on the weekends though so usually busy dinner the dinner rush.

Living in La Costa, i was a frequent customer at the Encinitas El Camino Real location. News came out about this new location and I was stoked! With all new establishments, getting a feel for FoH and BoH operations can take some time. Walking in, I received a warm greeting. I just wanted a single taco and Mark was extremely helpful in making a small snack into a meal. Sad to see Carnitas unavailable which I am sure will change soon, but their other meat options are surprisingly tasty.

3 bad burritos in a row. You know when you get a burrito where there are layers of ingredients all stacked like rungs in a ladder across the long way — so you get 3 bites of one ingredient followed by the next until you hit the meat at the bottom. That’s how THIS Chipotle is. Tonight, after they failed to make my to go order with 30 minutes notice, and with instructions saying«please don’t make my burrito like…» They did it anyway. They noticed the note at the end, and half-heartedly re-rolled it. Worse, I watched 1 employee start a 2 taco order as 2 burritos twice, through the entire set of ingredients away. The burrito maker got sassy when she saw I was already disappointed. Confrontational actually. Enough so that the customers in line were uncomfortable, as was I. She finished with a snotty — that’s how they train is to make them. Except this problem exists with poor attention to technique and at THIS Chipotle. We’ve all had a bad burrito — it is really bad when a bad burrito argues why it is actually good.

Brand new location the trick now is to keep it 5 stars. I first declined avocado for a 1.95 more but the young lady explained that they are organic and guacamole is made fresh daily here in the restaurant. I was very impressed by her knowledge of the food its origin and its preparation. And it was delicious

Another new establishment opened up in the new La Costa Town Square across the street. We’ve been waiting for this one in particular to open for a while. We noticed some people going in and around this end of the center and decided to take a look. Sure enough, Chipotle had become a reality! We’ve taken a liking to this chain for some time for a number of reasons. They use food that is raised with integrity, they shop locally for menu items and support farmers who respect the land and animals in their care. The cilantro-lime rice is a fav of the entire clan. The girls aren’t too particular for anything spicy. So their go to is the carnitas, shredded pork with tyme, bay, juniper berries and a touch of black pepper. Every other protein they offer has a bit of a spicy kick to it. Nothing over the top spicy, but you’ll definitely feel the heat if you’re not used to it. I am a big fan of the barbacoa, shredded beef with chipotle chilies, garlic and a few other wonderful flavors. The sofritas, tofu, is also a fav. You can always add a little of their sauteed veggies, peppers and onions, to any dish. Don’t forget to get a side of chips, made daily with a squeeze of lime and kosher salt! Keep on Unilocal’n!
