Colour District

(since I wrote this review, I like this place less… their turnover on staff is horrible… the stylists that cut my hair were always leaving and it made it really difficult to get a consistently good haircut. I obviously went elsewhere).
I haven’t been able to find a place that can cut my hair the way they do in all of North County. I used to get my haircut up in Ontario at Angles Salon and they did an awesome job. When I moved to Carlsbad, I went to so many different places trying to find someone who knew how to cut my thick, wavy hair without giving me a fade or putting 10 lbs of product in it. I found this place and I’m glad I did. It’s still not ideal, and I’d still love to go back to my old stylist, but this place is definately a close runner-​up. My cut was $ 30, not bad for a complete scissor cut on a difficult-​to-​cut guy’s medium length hair. I haven’t experienced the coloring yet, but the cuts are always great! :)

I wish I could go here! The two times I went I got an amazing cut, and once an amazing dye job. However IMO it’s too expensive. $ 45 for a haircut ~250 for cut/​two-​step color. If you are planning to go there, stop by first and see if they have the coupon on the front door. They use to (don’t know if they still do it) have laminated coupons out front for first-​time customers. The owner (the man… can’t remember his name) is the best, but his accent is a little hard to understand.
