Express Store

Whatever you do, DO NOT GET THE EXPRESS NEXT CREDIT CARD. If you want to pay online you have to pay it through your checking account (do not want to provide them with that personal information), if you want to pay over the phone they charge you an extra 15% and they WILL NOT give you a receipt by mail or email (weird), and when you go to the store to pay they only accept checks or cash. This has been the biggest hassle and I have cancelled my card. Saving 15% on your first purchase with the credit card is not worth the hassle you will go through later. I do still like their clothes.

Stopped in since everything was 40% off. The staff was a bit MIA but was able to find someone to get into the fitting room. I try to steer clear of popular items as they tend to be more expensive. Found some great pieces at the sale rack and got an extra 40% off them too! Don’t go in for the customer service just go in to shop.

I used to shop at Express so much in the past. I think their prices have been rising steadily because I don’t understand how I used to shop here as a broke college student but now I find the items to be expensive. I have an Express card and they send me coupons but it irks me so much that you can only use coupons on full priced items; you cannot use it on anything that is on sale or clearance. The clothing is good quality and it will last a long time so that is why Express as a brand gets high marks from me. At this location the staff does seem snobby though. I feel like they look down at me when I walk in like I can’t afford these clothes. It’s not overt racial profiling or stalking me as if I am going to shoplift but there’s just something about the way the greeter looks at me that I don’t like. The Escondido Express isn’t like this. Maybe they are more used to Mexicans in Esco.

High prices unless you have a coupon or unless you shop during a good sale.
I can’t seem to fit their mens dress clothes properly, which is their moneymaker.
I do like to shop here for their ties and vests.

After shopping in this store for almost two years I have to say that the staff are consistently snobby and unhelpful. I can’t remember a time where someone helped me in any way unless I sought them out, then they acted like I was bothering them. I also don’t like the rising prices. their tank tops have little decoration and charge $ 40 for them. really? Disappointing.

So last monday I went into the Express in the Carlsbad mall to get some work pants. I found a style I liked but they had every size but mine. The girl working the floor told me to go to a different Express because they have the size in stock. So I left the store and was about to get into my car when I decided to go back and have them call to see if they really had it. I asked the girl at the register to call and she said «why? we have a ton of them in the back!» I told her what the other girl said and her reply was“oh yeah shes lazy”. Needless to say I bought the pants but will probably not go back to that location for awhile!
