Grand Pacific Palisades

Worst hotel experience! Called in the am to make sure rooms would be ready, arrive AFTER their check in time of 4 pm and our room was still not ready! We did not get into room until 4:30. Once in room we later found trash that had not been cleaned up!!! Called for more towels around 6 pm and did not receive anything until 10 pm. Total lack of customer service. After everything, they only offered to waive our 18 resort fee. By the way, this is by no means a resort… they have no hotel bar, no room service, no bell service, and no valet. Would NEVER go back.

I booked my stay at Amazon local for 4 nights at grand pacific palisades. Upon arrival and checking in, they told us we needed to move to a sister hotel at seapointe. They promised us it would be exactly like the one a palisades. We stayed at palisades earlier and it is nothing like palisades. It is smaller AND near the railroad tracks.

We live in San Diego and booked some rooms for the family to celebrate my niece’s 5^th birthday. We booked the golf package so some could golf in the morning and join in the festivities at the pool in the afternoon. I received a call from the hotel about a month prior to our stay confirming the golf tee time & number of players. However, when I contacted the course to see what we would need to redeem the breakfast portion of our package (because the front desk agent had no idea) the course did not have our tee time reservation. They did end up scheduling us for a later tee time but needless to say we missed most of the celebration. I was very upset and made my disappointment known to the manager but was not offered any compensation.

The Reservation staff are greedy people. I am an owner here. I booked my week a year ago. I called to reserve a particular unit months prior. I was told I would get room #x. The hotel staff even called me 3 days prior to confirm arrival, and I told her that we would arrive late. When we arrived that night, they said they sold my unit. These people have no UNDERSTANDING of what fractional ownership or timeshare is all about. I own that unit for that period of time. They just sell it to someone else (more likely the Timeshare Salesman gave to another guest if they sign up for timeshare presentation). They said they overbooked, and I had to go to a different hotel the 1^st night. They made NO apology. I had to move all stuff back the 2^nd day. I didn’t even get my ROOM. They gave me a 1^st floor unit. My original unit was upper floor with privacy.
I am so ashamed to be an owner here. These guys are scums.
I will complain to HOA and also at the next annual HOA meeting. Scum bags!

My family of five has come to this resort every year for the last 4 years. Our kids LOVE this place. There is an arcade, activities, and a water park on the grounds. The staff is amazing and the you can tell that the place is run by people that care. The 2 bedroom condo is like a home away from home. I can golf, the kids can go to the beach, and Legoland is directly across the street.

This gym is great. It’s small and generally has a lot of privacy so you don’t have to be creeped out by some sweaty guy at LA Fitness. There are two elliptical machines, three treadmills, two gym balls, weights, a bench press, bicycle machines, and leg press and tricep exercise machines.
Don’t forget to reward yourself with some sauna, swimming, and hot tubbing after your workout!
