Stir fry with options to design a meal is a great thing. This place deserves 3 to 3.5 stars. The meat and vegetables were good. The noodles and variety of sauces could be substantially better. The friendliness of the staff fair to poor: cashier: acceptable, the chef: poor. As I am about to pour my choice of sauces and quantity of them, he grabs the plate and places the food on the grill. Even then, after my food was cooked and handed back to me, I thanked him and the response was a speechless blank stare. Apparently, he was not accustomed to being thanked when handing out boring food in a boring styrofoam container to someone.

I love this place, I’ve been eating here forever. Heck I’m eating here as I’m writing this. Very simple to order here get a plate stuff as much meat(pork, beef, chicken and chicken breast) as you can on it then stack your veggies tofo, celery, carrots, onions, cilantro etc. Then the sauce mild, medium, hot, they do that part for you. As its on the grill they cook everything as its grilling they add the noodles, which taste so good. Give it a try.

Hands down one of my top places to eat! I would pick this place over a fancy gourmet restaurant! I love piling it with beef, and getting extra spicy. A giant portion so it is perfect to share for two people!

I absolutely love this place. I come here at least twice a week. It is so good I could care less that it’s located in a mall. It’s always clean, fresh and delicious.

Absolutely one of my favorite places to eat! I like that I can create exactly what I want. Everyone who works there is very nice. I try not to go there during lunch. When the first open in the mornings or after lunch is when we try to go because of the limited seating. I have always had a great experience there! Love it!

I love this place! I’m a picky eater so I like how you can choose what you want in your noodles. You also get your food super hot since it’s right off the grill thing. The trick is to smash everything into the small bowl they give you because the meat shrinks a lot! The price is good for what you get. I just don’t like how they give you tons of ice in your drink and you have to pay for a refill.

I give a star for freshness, a star for uniqueness in the set up and another star for reasonable prices. In my opinion, the noodles had no flavor and the meat was bland.

It’s was okay I think if I Ate at another Mongolian grill, I would of ordered more. I didn’t even eat all of it because it wasn’t that good. The food was very salty and I put a lot of condiments and they barely put any sauce on it even when I asked for extra

Can never go wrong with customizing your own noodles! Let’s you add what you do want or omitting what you don’t want! The only disconcerting thing was there are two chickens: Chicken and Chicken breast. I’ll definitely remember this next time! I also like these noodles better than Chinese, I think. I’m not going to put my life on it, but they’re some pretty amazing noodles for being in a mall!

$ 7.79 for the simple bowl, no rice and no soup. If you want that add $ 1. If you want seafood that is an extra charge. But you do get noodles . They are in the mall by Kay jewelers and wetzels pretzels. Food tastes good, but they have limited sauces. Bowls are kind of small and hard to stack up your food. I tried the chicken, it was pretty good. I like that they have water chestnuts and mini corns too. They take credit cards and the service is pretty fast.

I love coming here. I’m very picky, so I enjoy being able to choose exactly what goes in my food and how much of it. I can’t comment on the freshness of the veggies, as I do not eat most of them. If it’s worth anything, the cilantro and green onions seem pretty fresh to me… lol. As for meat, I prefer the chicken and pork over the beef because the beef is kinda chewy and weird. I get to pick the sauces I want(one scoop of everything, triple scoop of chili oil). My food comes out just the way I like it. so yay! No compaints here.

Ok… first off. It’s a mall food establishment. That being said this place isn’t bad. But there isn’t much competition here. This mall had no real food court and the places it had to compete with are no Michelin star eateries. When all you have to do is be better than a place that serves bagel bites, McNuggets, or a $ 5 footlong you can be mediocre and get away with it. Trust me, this place has NAILED mediocre and it’s still the second best food in the mall.(Hot Dog on a Stick is hands down the best!) For under $ 10 if you leave hungry it’s because you’re either new or chose poorly. If you know how to pack a bowl you’ll be leaving fat and mostly happy. You start off with the your choice of meats. Pork, chicken, white chicken, or beef. Load up as much as you want. Pack it down. it gets pretty flat! Load up more! Then off to the veggies. Several choices including mushrooms, broccoli, water chestnuts, bell peppers, onions. They even have stuff you’re not supposed to eat like tofu and those weird little baby corns. They mix up some sauce based on your preferences and then cook it right in front of you while you watch… Add a bowl of noodles and mix it on the grill and serve it up piping hot!!! There are many pluses here… You pick every piece of food you eat. You get to watch them cook it. You determine the flavor. Downsides. It’s in the mall. Sometimes the veggies aren’t at the peak of freshness but in a flash cooking day old broccoli cooks better. The people do kind of suck but you don’t have to eat wit them. Bring your own dining companion. I’ve been here three times and haven’t had a bad meal yet. It’s no Stir Fresh but it’s good and San Marcos is far!

What the crap? Seriously? I mean, the noodles were good but everything else like the vegetables and the meat was something to question about. The vegetables are not fresh. Too much sauce to make the food taste good but it doesn’t taste good. The taste is overwhelming and it’s horrible. It’s not a legit Mongolian grill at all and the best one I went was at Sacramento, at El Dorado Hills, called Mongolian BBQ. They cook it right and they know what they’re doing.

Brocolli was old, told the guy… No response. I asked for trash to throw them away he points to the can on the far end. Still no words… Food tasted stale. I’ve been here before but I’m afraid I won’t be back. They don’t deserve my hard earned cash. They are pretty ghetto to boot!

I did it! I was finally able to fill up the bowl and have it fit 2 boxes!!! This particular place charges more than the other malls. It’s $ 7.25 for a bowl. Pretty small seating selection so I wouldn’t come on peak hours.

I love Great Khan’s and I’ve been to a lot of them, in OC, San Diego, LA, Bay Area… you name it. As far as the fact that this is a franchise, I don’t think each individual store adheres to whatever the rules are because the items on offer aren’t always the same. Out of all the Great Khan’s I’ve been to, I’d have to say this is probably one of the worst due to the lack of variety in the veggie offerings. Where were the tomatoes? Not that I usually take it, but I did notice it wasn’t there. Also, this location doesn’t offer lamb while the one in San Diego(can’t remember if it was Mission Valley or Mission Fair) does. And what was up with all the fat in the chicken? The other thing I didn’t like about this one was the seating area. It is not located within a food court, but right outside the Men’s Macy’s store like right in the mall itself. We sat at a table really close to the cooking area and gawd the heat emitting from the slab was too much to bear. The food itself was cooked similarly to the other locations, I don’t have any faults with that part. However if I had a choice, I wouldn’t choose to go to this Great Khan’s.

Just like the swallows returning to Capistrano; Just like salmon returning to their natal stream to spawn; Just like the monarch butterflies traveling from Mexico to North America; Just like the Mongolians frequently attacking the Great Wall with intense ferocity — I found myself returning to Great Khan in the mall that was the total shiz back in the 80s and now needs more than just a single facelift like Joan Rivers. I do admire the spirit and simple idea of Greath Kahn of piling(smashing) the thinly sliced meats(for quick cooking) and topped with veggies(to promote gastrointestinal regularity) and noodles(for asian authenticity) and cooked/spun on a giant flat circular pan by two guys(that are not even remotely Mongolian or Asian for that matter — Hola Amigos!). I paid $ 10(with soda) which is overpriced, but what isn’t nowadays. The grumpy dude behind the register said my check card wasn’t good. Whatever — take the cash, I know I have enough money to pay my mortgage. They are rather busy — since service is quick. Why is there a line? Tell me peeps have a better reason than me. Please. I find it hilarious that my remote and rare trips here are usually upon invite by a buddy whose family history of bad eating habits should tell him otherwise. I blame him. Yeah, it’s not the greatest food with over a gazillion calories either. There’s also the cheap ass-splintering bamboo chopsticks in the clear wrap, which is the only dignity I have in being approrpriate with this«Asian» food when I could just use a practical spork. So why do my buddy and I come back? I have no idea. Maybe there’s MSG in that«special dark sauce» they use in cooking? I have no idea. At least, the salmon, swallows, butterflies, and Mongols have answers, but I can’t exactly ask them can I? PS. Mongolian Festival? This is a party? Maybe that’s why I come back.
