The service HOCOA provides is extremely convenient to us, because we are foreigners and don’t have a network of service providers for the different home-​repairs that are constantly needed. In our case, HOCOA sent us a few different providers for each job and the ones we chose did a really great job. We had work done on one bathroom, replacing the bath-​tub with a large shower cabinet. On the outside walls of the house we had the extensive wood damage repaired and then had the whole outside re-​painted. We also had nine windows replaced, and then the inside paint job done — all through service companies indicated by HOCOA. It has been a great experience and we feel good knowing that HOCOA is just a phone call or email away for future needs. Five stars.

Even though we got off to a bit of a rocky start (the very first contractor assigned to me was a no-​show and only contacted me 15 minutes after he was to arrive) — the subsequent referrals of Invictus Veritas construction and Viking Electric were excellent — they both provided good service and worked with me to get the jobs done on time. It is really nice to know I have a place to turn when I need to find a contractor I haven’t worked with before — without spending a lot of frustrating time and energy trying to «interview» a bunch of potential companies. That’s the value of HOCOA!

Another job well done! My kitchen remodel went smooth! I became a member of HOCOA and saved a ton of time and money. I got my hardwood floor, tile, cabinets and countertops at a huge discount because HOCOA hooked me up with their wholesaler! Some may have had good experiences, but both of the plumbers they put me in contact with did not follow through with getting my job under way and failed to follow up on promised contacts. The HOCOA rep I spoke with was nice enough, but I won’t be using this service OR recommending it to anyone.

I called and spoke to woman that stated it was a paid referral service but she would give me a free year of the service. She stated that the handymen were screened and that one would call me and she would follow up to see how it went. Well she never followed up and I never received a call from one. I am HUGE on first impressions and I would use them again.

So helpful and convenient! Especially when you’re in a pinch for the right person! They only connect you with the best Servicers! Life savers! Thank you!

I own property out in San Diego and when it came time to redo all the fixtures in the house there is only one person I trust to get the job done right. Let me tell you about Sam Goodwin of HOCOA. I just joined HOCOA and used Shannon Barry of Invictus Veritas Construction. I asked for a referral for a handyman and HOCOA referred Shannon to me. He and his guys were terrific. They did everything that I asked from fixing some leaking faucets to demo and painting. And they did it all for a very fair price. I would definitely use them again and I will definitely call HOCOA for my next referral.

Sam worked with us to get an estimate for a remodel project, even when we weren’t exactly sure what the project would entail. He made it so easy!

They were super helpful and very knowledgeable, not only on things related to our property but also the area. Customer service far exceeded my expectations and it was very nice dealing with Sam. I have in times past, worked for HOCOA as a handyman. If you notice all of the reviews on this site, by and large, they are five stars. There is a good reason for that, it is because this organization delivers. For those wondering who they should hire to perform a certain job, stop wondering. Pick up the phone, and call HOCOA.
My time working there is done, not because I left the organization because they were this or that or I had some complaint I couldn’t get resolved, I simply had to move away and help family. But I’ll say one thing, I wish HOCOA was out here! I thought them to be professional, caring, and friendly. Sam is great to work with, (notice I said ‘with’ and not ‘for,’ a testament to the kind of person he is). I appreciated my time with the organization and have even called their contractors for my own jobs when the task was beyond my ability to handle it.
All in all, I cannot say enough about this organization and Sam G. I wish I could still be working with them as it was a pleasure to do so. As a homeowner, I’ll tell you straight up; if you need anything done please give them a call and you won’t regret it.

It is Sunday night and after a great day spent in church fellowship along with time at the beach with family, the lat thing you want is a clogged pipe and your daughter tonsay the floor is soaked.
What will you do asked my wife. I said to my son, grab my tool box we are going in. Kitchen sink wins and beats me in one try. Before I put all tools away I did what I should have done in the first place. Call Sam! I did and he had me trusting it was all good. Yogis Plumbing and Drain called and came over by 1pm. It was not emergency but needed fixing. Snakes and unclogged. Now I can rest and the price was right! Thank you again Sam and Yogis!
