I love this chain. I wish they would expand into Orange County. Allergy friendly ready-made options are delicious. And their juice bar is reasonably priced all organic and creative. Will make sure to make this to stop while visiting Legoland.

Had to check out Jimbo’s @ The Forum, well knowing The Forum’s notorious sparse parking situation we attempted a visit on a Saturday afternoon. We were able to find a spot, far away from the store but it was short walk. The store is small by my East Coast Standards, I’m talking Flagship Whole Foods Stores, The Fresh Market and Harry’s Farmer’s Market(Cobb Harry’s in Atlanta before Whole Foods bought them) among others we had back East. Upon entering and walking around I was disappointed with the selection, while it’s selection of Vegan items is good, I did not see many items I use to get back East. Also for some items, Prices were very high, compared to other stores in the area. Selection of Organic Bottled Teas is lacking among other things. The Forum in general makes stopping in Jimbo’s for a few items, not worth the hassle due to the poor parking and with other options nearby or in the greater area, I don’t see me returning too often.

Best grocery store ever. You will never go back to Whole Foods.

A few days ago I went to the Jimbo’s smoothie counter and the guy who took my order didn’t even talk to me. This is the second time this has happened, I’m not sure if I’ll return to Jimbo’s. Terrible customer service.

Being a local mini chain I wanted to check out Jimbo’s and really enjoyed shopping here. Prices are a bit high, but I enjoy shopping local and the most of the fruit and veggies are from right here in San Diego. Tasty meat and bakery items, large store, clean and well stocked with a great selection of products you can’t find at chain stores. Service was very nice, this is feel good grocery shopping and while to pricey for every day, it was a nice change.

I love this store because they have everything I need to make healthy, organic meals for my family. I know that Jimbo’s standard of quality is high. The staff are helpful. The produce is exceptional quality: fresh, local and organic. I do 80% of my shopping here.

I love this store, and always tell others about this store. Unfortunately their return policy is not good and spending so much on vitamins just to put them in the trash is just not working for me. Other stores have more generous policies regarding defective products so I’ll have to unfortunately take my vitamin business elsewhere. It’s too bad, as I really like the store otherwise. And yes, I did contact the store, and never heard back. I spent $ 70 on three items on my last trip, and one of the products, about $ 20 is totally unusable. I went to amazon reviews and found out that there is something wrong with the product and many others had the same problems. Beware of Nordic Naturals.

I love this place! It’s my alternative to whole foods– which has extremely inconvenient parking in Encinitas! My only gripe about this location is that ever since urban plates opened up, there’s a lack of parking during peak lunch and dinner hours. I wish the parking at jimbos was for jimbos only customers or– a parking structure was built! But I love jimbos!

I was expecting something like Trader Joes. This was a very close cousin to it only felt more cramped and kept running into other people. Not sure if it is always that busy but would rather shop at Trader Joes. It is busy there but at least the aisles aren’t narrow.

Clean store, good selection. Not so good? The employees. They are not friendly, look absolutely miserable, and don’t give you the time of day. The cashiers take forever to bag and have a bad attitude and vibe. The smoothie bar ignores you for 5 minutes before saying anything. I dread going here, but they have a few good items, hence the 2 star review. Just don’t expect a smile or any good service.

This place is good. So i have a tortoise. He loves greens. I get him local grown 100% organic dandelion, kale, and other greens here at jimbos. No pesticides so it wont mess with his little insides. Sure beats me growing everything on my own for him.

We tried the Jimbo’s pre-cooked Thanksgiving meal this year and were thrilled! Delicious turkey, perfectly crafted sides, all boxed and ready to go for a quick Thanksgiving Day pickup. Last year we tried the Whole Foods Thanksgiving meal, and the whole process was chaotic. Plus, the food was not as good as what we experienced this year with Jimbo’s. Highly recommend the Natural Turkey Holiday Meal!

Jimbos. Whats not to like about you jim. Youre a classy guy with just the right amount of swag plus you make some good sandwiches. Im not crazy about organics and all the rave on health foods but I do love seeing some new stuff and trying out different things. I ditched Haggens and am now coming to jimbos for lunch. Its a little pricier but tastier! I tried the Pilgrim sandwich today which was pretty good. I had it cold, next time ill try it warm. They have some great selection on sushi. Its fresher than 7 elevens. The store is kept clean and the staff is friendly. Although I was waiting at the order window for a sandwich and no one ever asked if I needed help. Thats why I just picked up a cold sandwich instead.

As much as my budget doesn’t always appreciate it, Jimbos is my go-to quick weeknight meal. Whenever I get off work and just can’t deal with cooking I head over there and hit either the delicious soup and produce bar or to the hot foods counter. I have never been disappointed any way my belly decides to lead me. My fave from the hot foods is definitely the Mac-and-cheese and the rotisserie chicken is off the chain good. Produce bar is always stocked with only the freshest of ingredients and the quality and variety of soups offered have never let me down. Also, they sell mine and my husbands favorite Have’A Chips. I’ve been eating these for more years than I care to admit but, as a girl who grew up in OC(they are made in Laguna Beach), I will always continue to support local entrepreneurs if the quality of the product remains as amazing as they have. If you love corn chips as much as I do and haven’t yet tried them, I suggest you run out and buy a bag immediately. Your salsa will thank you in the morning.

Wish this store was closer to me. I drive an hour to shop here! Other health food grocery stores and even regular grocery stores could learn quite a bit from Jimbos. Firstly, they are up to date on the buzz in the organic world so to speak. From Bone broth to juices to new dishes they have it all. The staff is very nice here and very patient and helpful which is lacking in so many businesses today. Their prepared foods in the deli are top notch, fresh, organic and delicious. They have different dishes instead of the same old run of the mill items the other stores have. Produce is top notch, the store is clean, well stocked and just a great place to shop. Bulk foods are always well stocked and the prices are good. Lots of Non GMO and I can refill my water here for 1⁄10th of what other stores charge. PLEASE come to the Temecula Valley! WENEED you here!

I used to go to the one in Escondido years ago and always loved this place, especially for the produce! Now, I come to this location because it’s by my work. After work, I pick up a few things from this place and head home to start my creation. The prices are great(better than Whole Foods), lots of organic options(I try to cook organic as much as I can), AND the best part is there’s some ready-made dishes for you to grab and go to take home and enjoy, no fuss! I love how friendly everyone here is and no snotty people who thinks their grocery stores are too good for you *cough*WholeFoods*cough*

Jimbos is pretty top notch if you ask me. IMHO, they have the best organic produce department in the business and it comes with a fairly reasonable price tag. They have an awesome selection of Juice and other great organic items. But what really sets this place aside from most other supermarkets is their hot food selection. This is pretty much the quintessential place to grab a quick meal that is home cooked and very well prepared. This place is pretty much a bachelors dream. :-D Different days of the week = different menu, which is awesome, the lasagna and cauliflower enchiladas are ridiculously good. Highly recommend Jimbos! Pros– Produce dept Fresh juices Service Hot menu Organics Food Smoothies Prices Varying menu options Sandwiches Cheeses Cons– Somewhat pretentious brands Pricey meat dept

Grocery stores can learn a lot from Jimbo’s — they stock healthy, high-quality products and employ a knowledgeable, friendly staff that will put up with all of the crazies like me that shop there! :) If GMO-free, locally sourced produce is what you’re about, stick to the right side of the store. You’ll find fresh fruits and vegetables piled high in neat(somewhat glorious) displays. Need lunch? Swing to the left of the store and check out the deli. So many choices! Gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options that are all clearly labeled — and they taste amazing. One of my recent favorites was a combination of cajun tempe, steamed veggies and sauteed portabella mushrooms. If you haven’t tried this reasonably-priced(unlike Wholefoods) local grocery store, check ‘em out!

I like walking around the produce section and reading all the organic signs. Bananas? Organic. Sweet potato? Organic. Apples? You guessed it… organic! I think they should save themselves the trouble of all that signage and make a teeny tiny(maybe not even existent) area for non organic and Gmo foods. Then we can all look at it and ridicule it? It is basically Whole Foods but on a local level so you even take a step further than patting yourself on the back and wrap both of those grass-fed, downward-facing-dog toned arms around yourself and give yourself a big hug. Side note, the child in me likes getting the wooden nickel for bringing in my reusable bag and picking my charity. Am I the only one?
