Lids

Basically all Padres and Chargers hats… Not everyone is a Chargers fan here. You would increase your sales greatly if you supplied hats for all teams. In the meantime ill take my money elsewhere

Horrible! Bought a Padres hat, walked around the outlets, met back up with my wife, she didn’t like it, went to exchange for a different size, Lids said no exchanges because I wore it?! So I asked if hats can be tried on… That’s all I did except I walked out for 20 minutes and came back? That’s fine Lids, but you’ll never get a dime from my business again!

This store is tiny! They have a ton of hats to choose from. They have all baseball hats and some football hats. The most variety is of Padres and Chargers hats. Hats are really expensive these days! $ 34.99 for a fitted baseball hat. They also have a limited supply of hats for kids. I did also see some plain colored hats there without any logos on them.
The person who was working there was talking to one customer in particular and not anyone else. The store was pretty small, but there was about 8 people in the store and it seemed crammed. There is no room for a stroller inside the store. Some of their hats were being blocked by a large banner that is hanging. I looked behind the banner and saw one of the hats that I was looking for. I then proceeded to look at the price and then I walked out. They did have a BOGO half off of certain hats. I’ll try my luck somewhere else to buy myself a hat.
Poor service, small store, and high prices veered me away from here.

So ladies, were we not ‘gang enough’ for ya?
I don’t know if these two young female sales associates could’ve SEEMED MORE DISINTERESTED in our business tonight.
Idk wth their issue is, was it because we look like, we have JOBS?
Well, so do YOU, so how about assisting folks with some semblance of courtesy (especially the shorter one – what IS her attitude problem? Get it together, you’re in SALES, honey).

You may find your favorite hats but they are not in a great number as this store is quite small compared to other Lids I’ve been in. I guess if you like the chargers or Padres they have a bunch of different choices. Being as I only wear REDSOX hats they usually have a couple to choose from but don’t get updated or changed that often. Im a simple guy and only want the on-​field hats (they always have in stock) not sure whats up with the crazy colors or designs they have nowadays but hey I guess they sell.
Although the staff is helpful there really isn’t much to do besides ring up the customer as all the hats are on display and they are usually organized appropriately small to large sizes. Crazy how much hats are I wasn’t expecting to pay over 30 for a hat but hey I guess that’s the going rate nowadays … feeling old.

I probably spent half an hour browsing for a hat. They walked up to me once… THANK YOU. I really, really mean it, no sarcasm intended. One of my biggest pet peeves is when sales associates at other big box retailers walk up to you every 3 – 5 minutes asking if you need help. It’s like, «Shiii-​man, I’m obviously in here for one thing; if I need help, I will find you.» But no, the ladies and gent let me enjoy my hat shopping experience, even if it took me a year to find a Giants fitted cap. The one time I did end up asking a question, the lady was very laid back with no pressure on the sales, but very professional. Even when I told her I needed an extra large hat (my husband has like an extra, extra large, motorcycle helmet type head). She smiled and started explaining which brands run larger.
Though I don’t *usually* shop for sports hats, I couldn’t help myself and got a Lids card. I might end up having a ridiculous hat collection. It’s very zen; don’t press on selling your hats and you’ll sell more!

They have a pretty good amount of baseball caps here (a lot of different teams and pretty decent amount of sizes). The only reason I’m writing a review though is the customer service. I wish I remembered his name but he was super friendly! Noticed my hubby was wearing a Bob Marley shirt and told us they have a bob marley cap we have to check out. Found it for us and hubs loved it! He was very cool and you could tell he was good at his job.
They are pretty good prices and have some pretty good sales.

I like shopping out of town to get some good deals on some SF Giants caps.
Though this is the southland where the majority of the caps were LA Fudgers, LA Devil Worshipers (formerly Anaheim) and SD Junipero Serras, there were a sprinkles of Giants caps that were in the discount corner. Though they only had kid sizes, it was worth the couple of trips to get some new caps for the kid.
