Man this place was tasty… Went to the Sunset Market last night, always fun, where this place is advertised and known as «The Thai Burger Company,» and decided to grab some grub. After a good hour of perusing the stalls and deciding on what I wanted, I was proud and thrilled to have chosen here. It was just me, so my experience was limited to the Panang Curry Pork Burger. Nice big patty, infused with sweet and a fair amount of spice, cooked to the point where it still has a good bit of juicy, and served on a «bun» made of compressed sticky rice. Delicious and just a pretty genius way to make a ‘burger.‘ Also on the menu were meatballs made of beef, shrimp, and a few other choices, along with Thai Iced Coffee and Tea. I only got to try the burger and a Sprite, but this pace is definitely worth going back to try something else and recommend it to other patrons wandering the stalls.

I had my first thai burger at the farmers market at CSUSM and was hooked after the first bite. Now every Thursday I send my husband to the sunset market in Oceanside to pick us up burgers. My work day is so much better knowing I have this to look forward to when I get off. Highly recommended!

SOOOOO good!!! Get them at the Oceanside sunset market with my boyfriend all the time. I seriously crave them! I really wish they would open a restaurant so I could have them other than just on Thursdays. Highly recommend these amazing thai burgers!(particularly the chicken satay)

Yummy yummy in my tummy tummy! Always a fan of trying new, unusual food at farmer’s markets and Papaya Bay didn’t disappoint. Wandering around the Oceanside Farmer’s market, the idea of a chicken satay between 2 cakes of sticky rice sounded too good to pass up. Also, how could I not support two seemingly nice kids using their ingenious idea to put them through med school? Will be happy to delight in another patty next time I’m down in O-side…

Just tried this place out while walking around the Oceanside Sunset Street Fair. my gf and i walked by and the title alone got our attention…“Thai Burgers”. What’s a Thai Burger? I enjoy Thai food and have been to quite a few Thai places, but never had I heard of a Thai burger. Is that rice instead of a burger bun? This we had to try! Luckily they even had small samples of their three Thai burgers, chicken satay, classic bbq, and curry. Each one so good… how do we pick just one to share? The gf chose the chicken satay after they mentioned the peanut sauce. The burger was cooked fresh and it was bigger than I had thought it would be. The peanut sauce was amazing atop the chicken satay which tasted just like the chicken satay skewers you get at a Thai restaurant. Oh and the pressed rice buns were so good! How did they even come up with that idea? Brilliant!!! I cant wait to get another burger from here…

This business was recommended to me about a month ago by another Farmer’s Market vendor. They have a great papaya salad and have three Thai burgers: chicken satay(with awesome peanut sauce), curry and BBQ. The food is prepared by two Mira Costa College students who are using their Farmer’s Market earnings to put themselves through medical school. Owners Pari and Pang, a married couple, are super-friendly and nice. I have been back each Saturday since I met them. Today, husband and I picked up three chicken satay burgers which are cooked at the Farmer’s Market and served on pressed rice patties instead of burger buns. Outstanding combination of flavors, perfectly cooked. All of their burgers and their papaya salad are great. The available drinks: Thai tea, iced coffee and rainbow coconut milk with free homemade rainbow colored boba strips. Little known facts: Mira Costa students get 10% off with ID … and if you buy three Papaya Bay Jr. Thai Burgers of any type? You get a FREE drink! Yummy! Like them on Facebook:
