I finally found a good dentist for my kids in the greater San Diego area!
If you are in the market for a pediatric dentist with a conservative approach to treatment, Dr. Rick is your man.
If you are looking for a lot the latest technologies of distraction: video screens on the ceiling, etc., you won’t find it here (although they do show cartoons in the waiting room).
What you will find is a dentist who knows how to encourage kids and elicit their cooperation.
He did two fillings on my daughter with only Novocaine after another dentist had insisted she would need to go under general anesthetic.
Like I implied, the office is nothing fancy. The operation is, in fact, a mom & pop place. Literally. You’ll often find not only Drs. Penman & Penman, but also their small children hanging out in the office.
They only work with kids. If I remember correctly, Dr. Rick is a Board certified Pediatric Dentist, and his wife, Marta, is a general dentist specializing in the treatment of children.
