Went there last night for some dinner. It wasn’t very busy which was nice because I’ve heard that it’s busy on weekends. They have a good selection of beer, and anyone that likes beer will be happy. The food prices are reasonable. It’s a block away from the beach so there is a beach vibe. They have an outside eating area that you can use also. Great plays to get something to eat. It’s right in the heart of downtown carlsbad also so there are other things you can do after you eat.

The best pizza and beer in Carlsbad. The atmosphere is terrific and the customer service is excellent.

Pizza is good but the restaurant is always packed seating and parking is tight. Occasionally, they confuse the order and I get someone else’s pizza and/or wings. Make sure to double check your order!!!

Absolutely love this place! Always busy but I call in ahead of time and the service is always superb! Beer is extraordinary and the bottle shop is a must see, they have a lot of classics and hard to find beers in there also the staff is extremely knowledgable! The pizza is amazing always! I recommend the Pizza Roma or the BBQ Chicken, they are all good!

Food/Drink — Lots of specialty pizzas to choose from along with your standard favorites. We had the 10″ Margherita pizza and a 10″ cheeseburger pizza. Both were very good and hit the spot! They have tons of beer on tap and unlike other brewery pubs/eateries in the area, have more than just ipas. Service — The service was great from both where you place your food order and the bar. The only thing I think they can improve is organizing where you go to place food versus alcohol order. As someone who has never been there(and it was busy when we went), I was sort of confused where to go. Atmosphere — Very laid back with a beach town feel. Family friendly. Overall — We will definitely be back and you should go too!

AWESOMEPLACE! Been to Pizza Port many times in OB and loved it! We took a large group of our wedding party here for beer tasting prior to our rehearsal dinner. The staff is very friendly, quick, and affordable. It is open seating but there are plenty of different areas around the building. The pizza and beer are amazing! Great for everyone!

If they had air conditioning they would get 5 stars. Inside tends to get stuffy and kinda smells like a wet towel. Thank goodness they have plenty of outdoor seating and we were able to avoid the damp stuffy inside part. The pizza is really good here. I can not complain, the staff is very friendly and helpful and for the beer drinkers they have an array of choices and beer cans to go even, fear not the stuffy inside the patio is great and they have 2 floors of Patio space. I cou k d see this place filling up in the summer nights. Despite the stuffy inside quarters.

Pizza Port should be ashamed. I waited 30 minutes for beer, 90 minutes for pizza, and got bitched out by the bartender for helping myself to a cup instead of waiting in another line. It was inexcusable chaos. They need to hire management that knows how to organize service for a high volume restaurant. I will never ever go again. Also, there were more babies and little kids in this Pizza Port location than in your local children’s hospital.

Went hereafter my bad experience with the local Italian place that I thought was ok. I sat there for ten minutes and got a menu. 15 minutes later the bar tender never revisited me. Once again another tourist trap of Carlsbad. After leaving with no food and no service went next door to there beer store and guess what, no one there either, stories, I guess I’ll just take what I want next time. Came back on a Sunday. Waited an hour for a small pizza. Orders 1:33 finally got it at 2:33.

How does anyone not like Pizza Port? Any joint with long rows of picnic table style seating, delicious pizza, and cold beer served in an efficient manner is good by me. With that said, this place is good for large groups and people can come and go as they please. It’s a family, date, or whatever occasion place. It’s located right in the heart of the quaint Carlsbad so it’s surrounded by lots of other POIs. I like how they have a bottle shop as well. There’s no hesitation when deciding if Pizza Port suits your needs.

I’ve had their beers, and now the time had come to try their pizza! It’s definitely quite a unique setting here. Almost feels like I’m in a cabin when you’re inside because there’s wood tables, wood walls, wood floors. There is a small parking lot in the back with an entrance as well. Tables inside, outside, and upstairs. This place is super packed on the weekend. Do expect to be ordering first then grabbing your own table! There is a separate line to order food and a separate line to order drinks at the bar. I really hate the space between the two lines, gets really cramped, especially with everyone trying to squeeze through to get to the soda machine and bathrooms as well. The layout of getting things is quite unorganized. Let me just say that this is not cheap pizza, but it is good pizza. I guess you get what you pay for but it’s so hard to fathom the idea of paying around $ 40 for two medium pizzas since it is mostly bread, sauce and toppings. Small Pizzas ~ around $ 8-$ 10 Medium Pizzas ~ around $ 15-$ 18 Large Pizzas ~ $ 20-$ 23 Food: BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza(Medium $ 16.75) (BBQ sauce, Meatballs, Bacon, Mozzarella, Cheddar Cheese, Red Onions) I’m actually not much of a fan of BBQ, but surprisingly it was delicious on this pizza. The BBQ sauce was like a sweet chipotle. The bacon was visible and nicely crispy. This pizza was packed with flavor. I also like the dough here, not too chewy, not too hard. But lightly crispy and airy. Solana Pizza(Medium $ 17.75) (Shrimp, Clams, Onion, Bell Peppers, Olives, Mushrooms) What can get better than a pizza with shrimp and clams on it?! I would’ve never even thought of it. It was another good pizza with subtle flavors. The shrimp definitely made all the difference. Overall, i am a fan of their pizza and beer, but not so much the prices. And don’t like the idea of having to stalk people for a table either. But I’ll still give four stars for good food.

SO great. Just so great. Go here. You wont regret it. Nice high ceilings, cool atmosphere, great beer, and good pizza. The pizza dough is deep dish which is to my liking. Also this place has mostly shared seating but its pretty big so there’s seating in a lot of places. Consistent and good. My last visit was when I was a kid and I remembered to go again and still fresh, amazing, cheap, good, pizza! We ordered pepperoni and mushroom and jalapenos(custom pizza). I would go back to try the other options on the menu. The wings were also good, but note: they come mostly drumstick(so ask for flat if you want a mixture).

Drove 40 mikes from South Orange County craving a Pepperoni and Pineapple Pizza… waited 30 minutes for my pizza when I was told«They were Out if Pineapples». Are you serious. .? You couldn’t have told me this when I ordered my Pizza??? Worst Service EVER! This was my second time here… I only came gere because the one in San Clemente was packed! Used to love the Pizza and coming here… NEVERAGAIN!!! It should’ve been a 0 Star option

I happen to love that they have Gluten free options for food(healthy and the not so healthy aka tasty) and for alcohol. They almost always have a cider or GF beer option. I’ve gotten Delicious IPA from Stone or Nelson from Alpine brewery which are both gluten reduced. Its nice to just be able to have a beer an pizza. minus 1 star for getting beer buddies super burnt and un eatable.

When you leave Legoland, I don’t care who you are or how long you spent there, you need a beer. Pizza Port is where you go. Their beer list is ahhhmazing. Only to be surpassed by their pizza. Everything here is wonderful. It’s like a little present you get to give yourself for making it out of Legoland alive. My husband and son are pizza lovers and this is hands down the best pizza they have ever eaten! The tables are just rows and rows of picnic tables so find a place to sit, plop down, and make friends with your neighbor and fellow beer + pizza lovers! Everybody is so friendly here. Maybe it is something in the beer? Or maybe it’s just the perfect combination of beer and pizza that lights that special fire in everybody. You smile a little bigger here. Your eyes sparkle a little brighter. Everybody is happy and it is thanks to Pizza Port! I just wish there was a Pizza Port in Hawaii!

I can definitely see why this place is so popular among the locals. Serving up generous portions of non-gourmet pizza and wings in a lively environment, with a large selection of local craft brews, it’s no surprise that these guys are as popular as they are. Personally, I just didn’t like the pizza that much. Pizza is one of those things that really comes down to personal preference. I happen to like my pizza with a thin crust, modest cheese, and a handful of fresh toppings. We ordered the Ocean Beach which came with portabello mushrooms, butternut squash, asparagus, red peppers, gorgonzola, and house made bacon. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing because our pizza was about 3 inches thick and weighed as much as a phone book. But toppings aside, the crust was a bit too thick and doughy on the bottom for my taste, and there was way too much cheese. Make no mistake, this is not gourmet pizza and they are not shy with their toppings. The house made bacon tho, was pretty awesome. It was thick cut and had bits of fat, resembling more of a pork belly than bacon. The place itself was also packed to almost standing room and very loud, with little kids running around everywhere. We were able to find a spot on a railing despite the communal seating mess, but it wasn’t my idea of a comfortable place to eat. There’s a part of me that appreciates a no frills pizza shop that has been serving their community with quality food for years. But with all of the competition out there from NY pizza shops, gourmet Italian restaurants, and fast casual custom pizza places, this place just wouldn’t be my top choice for a quality pizza. But obviously, there are lots and lots of people who disagree with me.

I had no expectations when I came here. All I knew was that they served pizza and beer. Right when I walked in, it caught me by surprise to see so many adults with their children. Hence, it came to my realization that this is like a family-oriented joint, that served & brewed beer! Awesome(definitely coming here when I have kids in the future!) A fun, laid-back, family-oriented atmosphere. They have a outdoor patio to sit and eat. AND you can bring your dogs(MAJORBROWNIEPOINTSHERE!) Also have arcade games to keep the children entertained One area to order your pizza and on the the LEFT-SIDE, their bar ;) My gf and I ordered a small pizza to share. Comes with a total of 6 small slices We were able to choose two different styles soooo ½ was the pizza Carlsbad and other half was pizza ocean beach They brew their own beer and have a wide selection of them too! Awesome! My gf and I tried the raceway IPA& Swamis IPA, Both were good! Would come back when I am in town!

Come here for the beer, stay for the pizza! It’s always a good time at this popular Carlsbad Village spot. A bit chaotic to find a place to sit among the communal wooden tables but that’s just a part of the experience, as is separate ordering areas for beer(bar left) and food(register center). If you are an IPA fan, then you will be in beer heaven. On my past visit, I would say 90% of the Pizza Port offerings were IPAs. I’m personally burnt out on IPAs at the moment so I had the Carlsbad Cream and Z Man Stout. On my Untappd app they both garnered a 4⁄5 rating. $ 5-$ 5.50 for a pint was very reasonable. The pizzas here are pricy, but the unique flavor combinations somewhat justify this. I’ve had the Lahaina(Canadian style bacon, pineapple, bell peppers, onions) and Carlsbad(pesto, mesquite grilled chicken, sundried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, feta). Both were cooked nicely and satisfied all of the hungry parties present.

Bf and I’s favorite Pizza Port to go to. Why? It’s in the heart of Carlsbad, there’s a nifty tasting room area just for beer, and there are fewer kids running around(we like kids but just need some space haha). Pretty sure at one point we were coming here every week more because this was the place for beer. Can’t get enough of the Pizza Port brews. Also, garlic beer buddies are so bomb. Oh and if you’re not a beer drinker or just not feeling up to it, I suggest getting their in-house root beer. It is EXTREMELY good. Not too fizzy, almost has a straight-up sasparilla taste, and is very smooth. You can also order a root beer float(ice cream also made in-house). Rockin! Parking can be hard to come by because their little parking lot is very little, and most of the time you’re parking in surrounding streets as this is by the beach and around many other restaurants and stores. A great place to come by to grab a beer or taster, grab pizza or a few bites to eat(there’s beer buddies, wings, salad, pizza) to get… Heck, you can also restaurant hop to nearby venues.
