HORRIBLE customer service. «Supervisor» Michelle is more interested in chatting with co-​workers than DOING HER JOB!!! Lines backed up 7 people deep and when they open a new register, Michelle nor ANY EMPLOYEE attempt to serve those who have WAITED, instead, last come is first served. All the while, Michelle is wasting the time of the poor suckers in her line. This Vons has always sucked in customer service, but Michelle is the WORST!!!

I do not go here often, but when I do it is for a quick lunch at the deli. The deli is well stocked, salads always look and tast good, and the service I have recieved from all is great.

I will not be shopping at this location EVER again! My last two experiences have been horrible. On my last visit I almost purchased milk that was two weeks expired fortunately I had looked at the date and grabbed a different gallon. I purchased some green leaf lettuce that from the outside looked fine but when I got it home all of the inside of the lettuce was completely wilted… On my last visit that was two days ago I purchased all my usual groceries in just a few moments ago I went to grab the bacon that I purchased… The meat seemed a little bit greasy like there may be something wrong with it so I turn back around to look at the date and it expired on April 16 !!! So I grab the second package of bacon that I bought and the same expiration date… So that means that this wasn’t just one bag that was overlooked this means that they completely ignore and all of their food safe and up-​to-​date. Over a month old??? Are you kidding me??? That’s straight up lazy. There is obviously a pattern with things on the shelves being old and I’m taking care of. People spend hard earned money here for food we hope to not make us sick!!! Do your job!!!

Falling clearly into the 3-​star level for grocery stores. A bit cramped with too many extraneous end-​cap displays and islands of random items. Ambiance is a bit dead and too dark in some areas. Beer selection was sub-​par with 60% macro junk and 40% craft with only about 10 – 15 beers of interest, but almost all were not fresh. Some Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA, a beer that needs to be drunk as fresh as possible, was from November 2015, or four months old. Still sold at full price — a rip-​off. Cashier was nice, but the interaction wasn’t what you would expect at Target, Costco, Whole Foods.

You know this is a super vons and has a lot to offer. Staff are always friendly. Prices, if you use the club card are helpful and it is CONSTANTLY busy. With that said you are often waiting in long lines as you see 4 or 5 vacant cashier lines. One just wonders why the staffing is so poor when it comes to flow. Shopping is a great experience, it’s the checking out. I come here all the time and will likely continue since its so close to work. Just wish they’d get more active checking stands.

Last Thursday I ordered a cake for my boyfriend at the bakery counter. It was for the following day/​Friday. When I came to pick it up, it was exactly what I asked for & then some. The cake was delicious. Very moist & yummy. My boyfriend & all of our family really enjoyed it. Mandy, the bakery manager is the one who put it together & she was absolutely wonderful. I will always recommend my family & friends to Vons bakery for all of their dessert needs. Thank you Vons bakery!

As far as Von’s go, the selection is somewhat limited. The one on college has much better, fresher produce. The wine and beer selection is plentiful. The flowers are fresh as well. The prices are somewhat inflated for a store with this selection. It is not one of the newer stores.

This review is for the Starbucks only. I went in there yesterday and ordered a gingerbread tea latte. After leaving and heading home I noticed they just gave me tea. So I called to let them know whoever made it didn’t know how to make the drink. The girl was nice and said I could come back and get another one. So I came back today… and this is where the low review comes from… I ordered the same drink and the register girl was very rude and cranky. Then as she was making my drink she asked me how it was made! I think the people there are not trained on how to make new drinks. This store seems to not function very well either. They ran out of cups and tea bags while we were waiting. It took them 15 minutes to make my drink and there was only 1 person in front of me. There is one guy who works there that is really good and efficient but everyone else is not.

Vons has everything you want. After shopping at the Vons I was wonderind and my total was $ 54 and with their Vons card was &43 so it’s almost $ 11 off. I’m so happy!

I called asking what time the resturant in their store closed and the employee told me 10 oclock yes im talking to you ZAC and I went down there at 845 to find them already closed. Waste of my time and gas.

Love this Vons for all of the things it has inside: Panda Express, Redbox, Starbucks, Wells Fargo, a deli, bakery, change counter, dry cleaning, I believe even vacuum/​carpet cleaner rentals (might have to scope that one out, can’t one hundred percent remember). The selection is always great too (and huge, seriously!). Never been out of anything that I can recall. Always have what I’m looking for.
Customer service is always on point. Everyone there is nice, helpful and this store is staffed appropriately. You definitely don’t spend long waiting for help if you end up looking for someone. Everything is organized, clean and I’ve never gotten anything that’s «bad» as in spoiled or tampered with. Great location, great store & great employees.

This Vons is a one stop shop! There’s a Panda Express, Wells Fargo bank, Starbucks and a redbox machine all in this store!
Staff is friendly here.
The store is always fairly clean.
Produce is always fresh.
Meat department workers are typically very helpful too!
They also have a florist available daily. The flowers are beautiful and fresh here. And the price on roses is definitely cheaper. The florist is usually sweet and will make a beautiful arrangement to your liking. Always a plus for me!!!
They have tables set up outside for those who want to enjoy their Panda Express or take a load off.

They have a great selection of produce and frozen foods. I wish they kept more lanes open. It seems silly to have 20 lanes and only use 3. Overall, the staff is friendly, and it’s a good place to grocery shop and get a Redbox.

I rarely set foot in a traditional supermarket anymore, but needed cookie decorating stuff for a project.
This Vons is much like many in the area– large, long aisles of packaged goods that I don’t recognize. It does have a large, nicely-​decorated display of fresh produce. But it’s almost too nice– like you don’t want to touch it and mess it up.
I found some cake decorating materials– not a great selection, but it would work. Would have been nice to have some kind of offering that isn’t artificially colored or flavored– semi– natural…
Everyone is very professional– all wearing uniforms. There’s a certain formality that is exchanged when checking out. I’m always taken aback when I hear someone call me Ma’am. But that’s just how they roll.

I have always preferred Ralphs over Vons to be completely honest. But… the set up of this Vons is spectacular! I loveee Panda Express and its so hard to walk by it every time I come in but its definitely a welcoming smell! My boyfriend loves the Starbucks in this Vons so I will give them props because its hard to find a good Starbucks INSIDE an establishment like Vons because they normally arent trained properly.
Everytime I have been to this location, the employees are always VERY helpful and I have never had a bad experience with anyone! They are always fully stocked on everything and the store is very clean! my ONLY and i mean only complaint is that they dont sell Reeses Stix hahah. but besided that this is a great, clean store!

If I wasn’t soo lazy or had a halfway decent memory, I’d remember not to visit this store any longer. I leave feeling frustrated each and every time. Whether due to the fact that they’re out of what I’m after, that I have to bag myself (and it’s a lot AND I suck at bagging) or that the life has been sucked out of the dwindling staff, I still show up here, dammit!
I liken it to a Twilight Zone episode where they’re stuck in black and white, punching numbers into their cash registers. very slowly. It’s soo bad, I have time to write this review while standing in line.
I doubt anyone is going to read this review. Because who would… it’s a grocery store. But if you have read it, perhaps while standing in a line that is halfway down an isle because someone at the front of the line sucks at bagging their groceries too, just know you’re not alone. The black and white fades as you leave the store.

I grew up in Pleasanton, CA where Safeway has their HQ’s. Excuse me for being a Safeway snob but this Von’s lacks everything: personality, customer service, and employees. I continually find myself waiting in lines here no matter what time of the day it is. Additionally, this locations frequently runs out of basic everyday items such as bananas. They are also constantly selling bread running on or after the «best by» date.
The only reason why I still make visits here is because CVS pharmacy is right next door and Sprouts is in the next complex over, so everyone can flee there when they realize the horrible experience you’ll get at this Von’s.

Vons– you need a makeover in ALL of your locations. This to is old, run down and aisles are small. The staff is friendly, we love Susan and of course Christopher. But we can’t help but notice that everyone looks stressed, the store needs some reinvestment funds to bring back the life !
Also, get rid of panda, it smells gross!

Is it possible to open another line so we can pay? Cashier … No, I have tried and they won’t do anything about it… if you have a problem with it CALL CORPORATE… Extremely rude and degrading to us the customers…
I only reason we use this Vons is because we live right next door and it has a Starbucks/​Redbox. So far I have been far from displeased with this Vons. I tried to order a cake for the bakery for my daughters birthday and was told they do not put pictures on cakes. I have been there several times, they have a customer cake display with cakes you can purchase that they put pictures on so I know it was a false statement.
The overall shopping experience is just a regular grocery store experience. Nothing that wow’s me. Pretty plain.
The much enjoy going in there at night, I find the night crew is much more pleasant and helpful then the day crew. And its less crowded.
Even though I live next door to here, I prefer to do all of our shopping at Albertson’s off College and the 78, its worth the drive.
