Their chocolate is great, and very well priced. IT pairs well with any wine in wine country. I would suggest a favorite piece of chocolate to try, but basically everything is my favorite, the tangerine dream, the honey lavendar caramel, everything is amazing! I also like the chocolates done using 7 of hearts wine as well. ANd, now it is exciting they are able to share individual chocolates by weight now, instead of needing to buy a whole half pound of the same piece. They just now got a licensed commercial scale so they are permitted to do that. So, if you haven’t checked them out yet, you have no reason not to!

Don’t dilly-dally… run and get yourself some of their mouth-watering chocolates. Very very good. I mean it.

We paired the chocolates with our Seven Hearts wine, they were phenomenal! We had a bacon-like chocolate truffle(vegan, which I’m most definitely not, but it tasted like real bacon), and then a dark-chocolate covered Asian pear. I am kicking myself that I did not buy chocolates to take home with me.

Nine ladies ready to do some wine tasting and eat some chocolate. Who could ask for more? Stopped by here on our wine tasting/bachelorette party run about a year ago and I am finally getting around to reviewing it(lucky for them since I was quite angry after our experience here). Anyway, we are a fun-loving group of gals and were happy to see that there was a very large beautiful wooden table ready for us all to sit at and enjoy ourselves. We are a boisterous group, and were having a great time talking with one another while waiting for our friend to come back from the bathroom so we could order. I know it was a bachelorette party, but we weren’t dancing on the tables or wearing crude party favors around our necks as bachelorette party-goers are wont to do. As my friend came out of the bathroom, I saw the lady at the chocolate counter talking to her. My friend then came over and said the lady told us to quiet down because she couldn’t talk over us to tell the other customers(um…there were two people at the chocolate counter) about her delicious chocolate. So we left. Without buying anything. But not without telling her how I felt about her business etiquette. How unfortunate.

Just as they provide a sweet surprise to the end of a Seven of Hearts tasting here too Honest Chocolates makes a sumptuous addendum(Read Seven of Hearts write up here ). Taking Byron’s wine too a new level of delight, Dana’s built wine soaked fruit chocolate truffles to perfectly pair with his two première pinots. Dana is every bit the master craftsman, tweeter, and sharp business owner. At the tasting room she has a counter and a small kitchen, but additionally Honest Chocolates also has stand alone shops located in McMinville and Newberg. Whenever we visit leaving becomes impossible without Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, Dark Chocolate Rocky Road, and Dark Chocolate Honey Caramels with French Seasalt. Smooth, rich, not too sweet, wonderful and always freshly made(none of that weeks or months old previously refrigerated grossness here). If you’re a Chocolate lover(is anyone not?) and are going to visit Seven of Hearts, don’t miss grabbing some of Dana’s fantastic treats, you’ll love them, honest.
