We just happened upon this place after our Granddaughter’s baptisms. The Sunday buffet was perfect. My husband wanted lunch and I had breakfast. Delicious food, lovely atmosphere and friendly service. I will be stopping here again.

Ordered stake rare came out medium. Sent it back same stake came back well. Had no more ribeys left. Drinks were great. Did not pay for my meal had had cheese cake for free. The mgr tried to make it right. Seemed like the manager did not trust her staff. I don’t know. Would give them one more try.

We recently had lunch at your restaurant, and did enjoy it. Yes, we did have a long wait in the restaurants and it was not busy at all. We could not figure out why the wait was so long. Currently we are talking about trying dinner tomorrow night at your restaurant, if we do, I hope we enjoy it.

Yesterday I had the grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and baby spinach and Swiss cheese and tomato with ranch dressing that was excellent. It came with these homemade potato chips that were fresh and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese instead of salt. What can I say but«yum»! Today I got a slice of Key Lime Pie. Again extremely pleased.

Pizza came out burnt. Had to cut part of it off. Key lime pie was wrong color, when asked staff could not tell us what was in it. Took over an hour to get served after ordering. Took 20 min to get drinks. No manager on duty. When we told the staff about our issues they acted like we were in wrong by eating some of it. We only ate some because it took so long to get to us. To top is all off they have a built in 20% gratuity that they don’t tell you about it until you get the bill. We checked the building and menu, there is nothing to tell you about built in gratuity.

So its close to the lake, thats a plus. Other than location this place could use a helping hand. Its got a nearly identical menu to the Lubar and prices to match. Now dont get me wrong its not«expensive» per say, but the food isnt anything but cosco re heated. Also ive never seen a restaurant not busy and still take forever to bring food. I dont expect this place to stick around too long, for the building and location arent cheap and the crowd or should i say lack there of wont support it. Just got a coffee blend lol. I saw the old bottom of pot poured into the«fresh» coffee and it definitely taste like a burnt morning pot at lunch hour. Well the gyro also came out disapointing Flat bread so painfully stale and who puts iceberg lettuce on a gyro. So if you are from carlyle and know that there is a very limited selection try it If visiting carlyle and just wanna sit down and enjoy yourself after a day of lake fun please treat yourself to Schleichers on fairfax uptown its well priced and ALWAYS delicious Oh and breakfast for campers try the Homeplate on the east side of highway 50 For very well priced and abundant helpings of classic breakfast Ok i am here again Service was very good and food was delivered to table quickly Smothered covered chicken looks awesome but me im having the chicken parmigiana And to be honest i rarely enjoy a spaghetti dish at most restaurants but this dish is quite satisfactory with plenty to eat i will be taking half of the dish home only thing i can say i didnt enjoy is price of the draft I avoided it once i knew the small beer was 3.50 Oh well im not here to drink. I will be back soon to put this menu to the test and be again updating my review Next experience this nice and i will add a star

Nicely redone by the owner of LuBar nearby. A much needed restaurant near saling and camping on Lake Carlyle. Nice menu with lots of options. Breakfast was good; I had a breakfast burrito, which was quite tasty and absolutely huge. The hashbrowns, while good, appeared to be mashed frozen crispy crowns, my only real disappointment. My companion had pancakes, presented beautifully with strawberries on top. Other patrons came in shortly after 11, and were told breakfast ended. They mentioned they had just got out of church. I suggest serving breakfast later on weekends. A very welcoming atmosphere, clean, nicely decorated. Rounded out by great service. Give this place a try. Carlyle needed this option.
