I paid Dennis, the technician, a $ 75 bench fee to look at a broken plasma TV, that I(with a friend) had already diagnosed the problem to a bad X or Y board. But I did not know which one specifically. He called me the next day confirming that is was one of those boards but would not tell me which one specifically(knowing that I would probably just it fixed myself with a friend) which is true– BUT when I pay a $ 75 bench fee, I would like to know which board is bad! Why did I pay him the money then??? I am in no way obligated to use him after the bench fee, it’s is ridiculous for him to entrap me into paying $ 275 to fix a 4 year old TV that I can buy new for $ 400. This is no difference than taking your car to a mechanic, telling them your brakes are squeaking, and paying them a $ 75 fee and them NOT telling you which set of brake pads are bad because they want your business. I understand full well he wants the business, which is fine, but you can’t charge a diagnostic fee and NOT tell me what is wrong! That is stealing, I HIGHLYRECOMMENDSTAYINGAWAYFROMTHISESTABLISHMENT!
