Applebee’s

I really enjoyed my experience at Applebee’s! It was late at night and I was driving around with some friends looking for a place to hangout. We noticed Applebee’s was open and I had never been there so we decided to go. Three words, HALF PRICED APPETIZERS! The service was great, the food was great, and the price was fantastic. I went back a second time for half priced apps again! I will be back again soon.

I will give this particular location a three only because the bar server was great. A friend and I went to have dinner and drinks and the margarita was like lemonade. The person that delivered the drink to our bar table was snippy and when I asked a question about the make up of the drink he just repeated my question back to me. Huh? Foods were greasy like onions chips the mashed potatoes were stiff & lumpy. The French fries were just cold. The tomatoes were not fresh (note I understand it is not tomato season. Over all instead of bashing each item I’ll just say Applebee’s needs to step it up on food preparation, temperature and cleanliness of the silverware. Oh I almost forgot there was an employee that was in the back coughing like they had a cold! Yuck!

Who thought it was a good idea to require servers to remember all the orders in their head, instead of writing each order down on paper? So anyway, yeah — this Applebee’s requires their servers to remember the orders. Order mix-​ups ensue. It just comes with the territory, so be warned.
They are also as slow as molasses here. There was no reason to be, either: When we visited, there were two other tables of people, and that’s it.

I’d seriously never expect myself to give a 5 star review to an Applebee’s but this location had it all! Went in for a late dinner and the place was steadily busy. The service was amazing! We had an awesome server. It may have been 8pm but she was on top of her game! I got some of thr new double-​crunch wings in spicy sweet Asian chile. They were so good! Don’t forget my giant basket of fries! My husband got the triple bacon burger and said it was delicious! You couldn’t beat the 22oz Long Island special for $ 3.49 which made for the perfect Friday night cap! I might always need to go back to that Applebee’s location if that’s the usual standard!

This place was pretty dead for cinco de mayo… Guessing people in Indy don’t celebrate it too much! Lol. On another note, I always come for the appetizers only!!! Pretzel sticks, wonton chicken tacos and spinach dip!!! Always aaaahhhhmazing! Get a little taste of everything and I am a happy camper! Never order an entrée because I can’t get passed the appetizers, EVER!
Service was pretty quick, since it was pretty quiet in there! We were serviced as soon as we sat down and our server kept checking in on us! Nice and pleasant lady!
Overall a good experience!!! Will come again!!!

Terrible service. Can’t rate the food. No one would take even a drink order. We never were allowed to eat or drink anything.
We were in a mildly busy/​typical Saturday crowd, and were seated relatively quickly and there we sat. And sat. After five minutes and no one acknowledged us or took a drink order I decided to time how long it was going to take. After twenty minutes had passed on the clock, others in my party insisted we leave, but I wanted to stay and find out just how long it would be. But, people were too hungry to wait forever for food, and we just got up and left. The official time was 22 minutes, but with the time before we started watching the clock it was more like 27 minutes.
They did us a favor, we found a nicer, quieter place with great food and a wonderful staff that was pleased to take our order, our money and our 20% tip.
We will never eat at Applebee’s ever again.

Good service from the bartender. Requested sample of new draft (Leinenkugel’s) they brought me about two ounces. This is a Winter Vanilla Porter, quite tasty.
Note: the following problem is not with one store… this is corporate wide because of how this dish is served!!!
I ordered the Sizzling Double Barrel Wiskey Sirloin. This dish is served on a super hot cast iron plate (hence «Sizzling»). I ordered my stead Medium-​Rare, as I really like my beef to still have a little kick left in her. The problem is that the plates are so hot the food is still cooking (hence «Sizzling») and so by the time I ate half of the first 4oz steak it was «Medium», then by the time I ate the 2^nd 4oz steak it was (Medium Well”. I was absolutely disapointed. Those hot cast iron plates cooked the crap out of my steak, otherwise I would say the steak was awesome. The steak was covered in sauteed Mushrooms and Onions and with a mound of garlic mashed potatoes, but everything continued to cook.
My suggesstion is that if you like Medium Rare meat, that you either order it RAW or tell them to serve it on a regular plate.
If I have the chance, I will order this dish again, only next time I will ask for a regular plate.

Applebee’s is not what I would consider great gourmet food but I will say that these guys for the most part have service down-​or at least a few of them in particular there bartenders.
This makes the Paleo list thought the meat is most likely not grassfed they are willing to make substitutions and work with you to understand your dietary needs so that is nice because unfortunately not everyone really cares about you enough to let you order the food how you like it. But Applebee’s gets hospitality! THANKS A MILLION!

I am typical not a fan of Applebees and chain type restaurants and mostly cheap chain places. I went to Applebees because of a commercial for their endless soup and salad lunch special. We had the absolut best service I’ve had in a while. While there we noticed they had some great specials during Monday night special, half price appetizers, and some great drinks. So we came back again for the half price appetizers, then again for the drink special, then again because it was convenient. Next thing you know, there was a day I frequented Applebees 3 times within 24 hours. Yikes! it all started with this particular Applebees. A lot of their food is suprisingly pretty good including the riblets, steak, queso dip, chicken wings, and salads. The management and service is consistently good at this applebee compared to a few of the others around town a well. Margaritas, long islands, beers are only 3.29 all day every day. half price appetizers are 3−6pm and again at night.

Applebee’s keeps getting better and better. The service is always friendly and the food is excellent. The kids menu is great and tends to come out prior to the adults food, which is extremely nice.
My favorite entrée’s here include, the Diablo Shrimp Pasta meal on the «under 550 calories» menu, the Sliders, and the Oriental Chicken Roll Up.
The draft beer has never been that great here. It always tends to come out tasting a little skunky and we ask for another one and it tastes the exact same. We usually get the same response which is «well, they just changed the tap so that might be the problem». The problem is, it’s happend on every beer we’ve ever ordered! Lol
Beer aside, Applebee’s has had some amazing entrée’s on their menu in the past that they decided to take off the menu. I say «if it ain’t broke; don’t fix it!» They had one entrée called the Honey Peppercorn Chicken that they got rid of and it drives me crazy because it was so good!
