This is a cute neighborhood park, a little off the beaten path that is Highway 31. It’s a great playground for kids, because it has a lot of fun slides to go down, walls to climb up, swings to swing, stairs to traverse and poles to jimmy, BUT it’s not so huge that you’ll constantly be moving to another spot to keep an eye on your kid. You can pretty much just claim a bench (or patch of grass) and watch your child play all around the park.
This park also has a few picnic benches under an awning, so next time we visit we might pack a lunch and stay a while. There’s also a big field to play baseball or softball — or just run around on, or use to fly a kite.
According to a sign in the park, it looks like this park is a stop on the Cool Creek Trail. When we were there, we saw a few people walking along it and enjoying the nice weather.
