In 2013, my wife got me a perfect Christmas present — something I would not buy myself, but always wanted — a guitar!
I love the guitar. But, I couldn’t play it. Still, I learned a couple cords, strummed it. Faked it. And, still, I loved hearing it. Well, after 6 months and our move to Indiana, she followed up with the perfect father’s day present — lessons!
I took lessons for two months here. I loved it. I learned more cords, learned to transition, how to put the cords together to make my own songs. I have been practicing and practicing working to perfect what I was taught. I love being able to pick up a guitar and make music that people enjoy listening to.
The music room is clean, has good acoustics, and my instructor is excellent!
The approach at this school was perfect for me. Each week, I would learn a little more and build on what was taught the previous week. I would play what I knew for the instructor and then play with the instructor. We build our lessons around music I liked so I could take it home and enjoy what I was listening to. Two perfect gifts from my wife.
This is so fun, cannot get enough!
