We’re on our way to Florida from Michigan and stopped here for lunch. It was excellent choice. Service was great. Food was delicious and price matched the quality. My boyfriend had the grilled chicken & avocado club. I had Walt’s Champagne Chicken Salad. Wish I had taken photos but didn’t realize the food was going to be so good.

I decided to take a drive to Carmel to see if there was a better selection of places to eat than in Lebanon… There was! Based on the reviews I decided to try Charlestons. I was seated right away and had a waiter at my table greeting me quickly. I ordered the ribs with fries and slaw. It was pretty good. Not the best I’ve ever had but good enough to eat the full rack. The slaw was different in a sort of spicy/pickly way… I liked it alot! I also had the house salad. It came with egg and bacon and was good. Lettuce was fresh and the line vinaigrette was unique and tasty. Worth a try if you’re in Carmel.

I love their shrimp cargot. Order it with the crossiants. You can dip it the crossiants into the garlic butter. Fabulous!!! Also their perfect margarita is soooo good!!! Five stars all the way

Superb meal! We all had seafood. Salmon was perfect as usual and the Mahi Mahi was delicious. The sides were amazing. Garlic mashed potato, carrots and rice. Server was the best! Very friendly and attentive. The only complaint is your music selections. Not good! Music too loud. For such a beautiful and romantic type restaurant why don’t you play some light jazz?(Sinatra, Chris Botti, Michael Buble)

This place is good! Good food, good service… I’m bummed that I don’t live nearby but I’m hoping to come one more time before returning home. The only thing I didn’t like is there isn’t much on the menu for us vegetarians… I had the flatbread pizza without the steak that usually came on it. Tasty!

An evening out with my parents and I found that Charleston’s always steps up in price and flavor the Ruben sandwich, catfish dinner and the key lime pie were all prepared quite well! No complaints here. For the money and atmosphere give it it a try. Good food!

My first time here with friends and family. Ordered Kale salad with the chicken on the side since I’m vegetarian but it came out with small fine thin slices chicken mixed in. My waiter was no where around and since someone else brought out the food I had to pick out the meat since I didnt want to spend entire dinner time wait for him to check back on us. I was little disappointed since their menu didn’t have a lot of option to chose from if you are vegetarian like me who just wanted to hangout with friends and family. Well, glad i had a good time with friends but wont see myself be back anytime soon

Charlestons has great food and service. You will pay about $ 15+person for an entrée, but they have high quality ingredients and you will likely have to get a box for your food. They have large portions. You can pretty much choose your side so you don’t have to be stuck with fries for your sandwhich. The burgundy mushrooms are flavorful. I think I can just make a meal out of that and the penne macaroni and cheese side. It is family friendly. They have fun little wax strings for kids to play with.

A good environment tables at perfect elevation. Great staff baked potato soup was a 6⁄10 but the rest of the dinner was great I ordered the oven roasted chicken and it was cooked to perfection. Also had the brownie it was Devine but a little to much nuts.

Visited Saturday evening with my mother for her birthday. Our server was Becky. We had an EXCELLENT experience! Each of us ordered the smaller Prime Rib, baked potato, garlic mashed potatoes and a side salad. The side salad is yummy! Many servers stopped by our table to see how we were doing, fill out drinks, take away dirty dishes, etc. I appreciated that. This establishment is one of my favorites in the area. I can’t say enough about them. From the excellent greeting you receive when you arrive to the moment you leave, the experience is top notch! Can’t wait to return.

We came with a large group(28). Not only did they seat us all close to each other, but they provided amazing service. To top it off, ALL of the food was good. I can tell you for sure because I tried everyone’s meal around me. We also got appetizers and dessert. Break pudding = heaven. Prime Rib = rosemary blitz + slow roasted goodness. You can’t go wrong here. Slightly more expensive then expected, but it was worth every penny.

I remember the very first time I came to Charleston’s I remember it being a great experience and great food. But over the years I feel that they went from a 5 star to a high 2 star place. The last time I was there the service was very mediocre. They were not busy as we arrived just before the dinner rush. But the guy just didn’t seem to care about anything. He talked very monotone and had no personality what-so-ever. Yes, my drink never went empty but you could at least act like you enjoy your job. The menu seems to be getting smaller and smaller. Every time I go it seems like the item or items that I really enjoyed the last time have been removed. And of course I don’t memorize their names so it is hard to ask if they can still make it. They probably wouldn’t though because this guy didn’t care about anything. The food overall seems to have gone from great tasting to meh. For the price they charge for an entrée I expect a great tasting meal AND great service and it seems they just cant deliver that to me anymore. Its not horrible, don’t get me wrong. But it just isn’t a WOW place to eat at anymore. And seeing that I live on the southside of Indy and they are on the northside its a drive to go there and I’d rather go to places that wow me.

We always have great service and the food is always good! I am really glad the construction on 31 is done so we can actually get there now. I enjoyed the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes. I love their carrots, I look forward to getting them with this dish, the perfect salty/sweet combo! The steak might have been a little harder to cut this time, but I had worked outside in the garden all day and my arms hurt. Plus it was still quite tasty! My husband had the Parmesan crusted chicken and he really enjoyed it as well. It comes with a nice tomato salad and a pasta side. I need to be better about trying something next next time, but always come back to my favorite dish.

I love this place. The ribs are delicious and the restaurant has flavorful sides available. My kids love the ice cream and cookies that come with the kids meal. The service is quick, attentive and kind. Highly recommended!

Sat in Bar area at a booth. Had the Chicken Sandwich with avocado and bacon. Was very good. Toast was done just right as was spice. Fries were thin cut and very good. My wife had one of the salads — was huge and she enjoyed it. Took a look in the dining room. Lot’s of booths so if you like booths over tables, this would be a good place to go. Only complaint is that the bar didn’t have a lot of tv’s and sight lines to the existing tvs were very good. A couple more tv’s would go a long way.

Another great dinner! Charleston’s has been a favorite of ours for years. It is one of those«tried and true» and«trusted» sort of places. It beautifully accommodates all kinds of gatherings. You can’t go wrong if you choose it for your business lunch, your date night, entertaining out-of-towners or a get-together with some friends. Overall the atmosphere is really nice, although hands-down I prefer the bar area to the main dining. It is a more intimate space and not as noisy as the larger space. The service is usually good and meets all expectations. No complaints there. For me it is the food that really makes the place shine. What I love about it is that so much of it is made in house from the salad dressings(gotta get the creamy garlic), to the salsa, I love that you can’t get the same thing anywhere else. Everybody LOVES the hot honeyed croissants that are served with salads, but what you might not know about is their smoked salmon. Since discovering it a few years back my husband won’t order salmon anywhere else. «No comparison» he says and he is right. I believe they smoke it in-house themselves and the texture and flavor are unbelievable — moist, rich and succulent. Not bad for something that is actually good for you! I’m not gonna lie, there are a few things they could work on in order to earn that 5th star. I’ve noticed the portion sizes and ingredients of the salad really shrink thru the years. It used to be much better when they diced the tomatoes instead of throwing on a few cherry tomatoes. Am I wrong, but didn’t they used to put bacon on the salad too? Anyway, the changes to the salad haven’t been great and I could do with a quieter experience when I do dine in the main seating area. On a busy night it is not the easiest place to carry on a conversation. And I can’t forget the to-go orders that weren’t right. To be fair, it has been a few years since I used to the to-go pick-up, but back in the day, I’d get it at least once a month and their were a few challenges there. But none of that overshadows the great things they are doing. Charleston’s is a great dining choice. I highly recommend you make a visit even if the traffic patterns to get there isn’t as easy as it once was. Cheers!

I am not implying this is a 5 star restaurant, but they get 5 stars because they blew away my expectations. It reminds me of a Country Club dining experience minus the stuffy Country Club people, the monthly membership. Food taste, appearance, selection, service is all very good. Dont expect any foo foo stuff here. Just good american cuisine. I had chicken picatta and salmon here in the last month and they both were very good

Typically really really good. This includes service and food. Tonight not so much. First i ordered a Kale salad. It must be a bag Dole mix. They could not remove the green onions. I had to change my order. OK I went full on carnivore. A filet, med well, butterflied. It came out not butterflied and not even close to med well. It may have been med rare. Had to sent it back and she also took my potato. This left me nothing to eat whlie the rest of my party had food. Big no no as far as im concerned. Several times drink glasses were also left empty. Also a big no no in my book. Had the company not been enjoyable, the faux pas would have been much worse. Everyone has an off day.

When I walk into a restaurant, I start asking myself questions. Do they greet you with a smile?(Or, do they greet you at all?). Is the menu so huge that it takes an hour to read it, or do they only try to do a few things well? Does the server refer to you as «Guys»? Do you have to beg for drink refills?(those should be automatic). Do you have to wait 30 minutes to get the bill? Charleston’s is a happening place. The menu is relatively small, and that’s a good thing. I had the 14oz Prime Rib, which was perfectly cooked and well presented. Even on a Monday night, the place was crowded, which is a good sign. Being that they’re surrounded by a sea of casual dining competition, the fact that it’s crowded says something about how they’re doing. Word is out that this is a great place to eat.

Westfield’s neighborhood Charleston’s has been around since the beginning of the construction of the 146th bridge. Before the 146th bridge, the road turned south along a path that runs through the location of the Charleston’s, and headed to the intersection at US31. The restaurant was celebrated as something nice and new, and it has remained one of the nicest restaurants in the area since then. The bar area is friendly and almost always busy, you can normally find a place to sit, or you can get a table in the bar area pretty quickly. Outside the bar is their main seating area, which is warm and fairly quiet, and still is a very nice place to gather your family. The current construction probably is hampering business a little, but they have survived the major construction so far. If dining in is not in the cards, their carryout is fast and friendly, and very accurate. I love their chicken club salad, and their potato soup is the best by far. Everything on their menu is great. Service is normally great but one tip for the servers… don’t touch my perfect margarita shaker. I got it. 5 stars because it deserves it.
