Five Below

This location has lots of random items if you are willing to take the time to search the shelves. Check the flyer as these items usually are limited or sell out quickly. This is my go to for theme parties or stocking stuffers. Lots of small trinkets to decorate tables or tie on gifts. I found a ton of cute adult coloring books and colored pencils for cheap. Lots of Star Wars items as well.
For the amount of items and selection it stays fairly organized. Be sure to check the bottom shelves!

On the hunt for a child’s watercolor set, I visited Five Below, because it seemed like the kind of place that would sell that sort of thing. And they did have them — and name-​brand, too! The best thing is, the set I bought I had seen previously in another store for $ 20, but here it was $ 5. What!
Don’t make the mistake and think that this place is just a cheapie dollar store — oh no. They do sell some cheap things, but they also sell stuff like Marvel action figures, Play-​Doh, Crayola … the list goes on. Hmm, what else? Sandals, nail polish, hula hoops, toys, puzzles, travel-​sized toiletries, gag gifts, travel cups — lots of stuff.
Like the name of the store implies, everything in the store is $ 5 and less. Even the stuff that is marked higher than $ 5 is still $ 5.

Yes, this is a chain store but it’s one of only two in Indiana. And yes, everything is below $ 5! This store caters to pre-​teens/​teens so they are chock full of bedroom decorations, books and games, candy/​snacks, beauty products, and gadgets. I wasn’t sure what I was getting into when I walked into the store while out shopping with my aunt but my cousin’s kids love this place and she was determined to fulfill their Christmas wish lists by getting them gift cards… and honestly, if I was a teen, I would love this place, too! It reminds me of a Deals mixed with a Dollar Store with a little Dollar General thrown in. Even though everything is under five bucks, I could have sworn I saw a lot of the same items at Dollar Store. I’m no Dollar Store frequent shopper but when I stopped in for hot glue sticks the other day I remember seeing many of the same seasonal items priced higher at Five Below. Nonetheless, this is a decent place to find random trinkets or gifts for the younger crowd.

YES. YES. YES. YES. YES. This place is FABULOUS. Everything is under five dollars and it’s all awesome/​hilarious crap you really don’t need but buy anyway. I got a Domo magnet where he was hula dancing and a Domo DVD and a bunch of candy and gum and stuff, and we got all kinds of crap for our family for Christmas. And the best part – they have Star Wars action figures that cost $ 5!!! That’s half of what they are at anywhere else! YES!!! :D
