Holy Insider Tip Batman! Seriously, I would have not known about this little gemstone on the borderland of Carmel had it not been for my friend Ben Y. The entrance is hardly marked which makes it the Park Less Traveled. It is a gorgeous 44 Acre park that has a Canoe Launch and according to Ben Y. one of the best local places to fish. We have fun bringing the dogs to this park. The park has increased in popularity due to a new 18 hole Frisbee Golf course that has been constructed. The beauty of the fields and woods and the banks of White River makes this a little hideaway from either busy city life or the bustling suburbanites. Indeed the Park Entrance is located near an old Rock Quarry and the entrances looks like it could be part of such, it’s a gravel road that runs alongside the south end of the quarry. Word on the street is that the Quarry will transform into a pond. Be Sure to take this one all in with a breath of fresh air and a bit of solitude, the wooded trails along the White River are my favorite!
