KFC

Always a roll of the dice. I get nervous when I’m in the mood for KFC. Walk in, drive thru? Have had issues doing both. So it can always be a stressful decision, even to pull in the parking lot.

Forgot half my order. Took forever to fix it when I came back. Whole place was empty — what were they all doing back there?

Why Does KFC always sound better than it actually tastes?
We stopped in for a quick bite on a Saturday and the place was empty. Service was not that great. I asked the cashier if the numbered meals came with a side and her response was a mumbled ‘Uh, I think so.’ Ummm ok. Thank you for your knowledgeable answer.
We both ordered the $ 5 Fill Up. It comes with a selection of main options, a side, a biscuit and a chocolate chip cookie. We both opted for the chicken tenders. They were mostly breading with very little meat inside. The ranch dipping sauce was very bland but the honey mustard was pretty good. I had the mac and cheese which was ok but more cheese than mac. Hubs had the mashed potatoes and gravy. He said it was alright. Biscuits and cookies were just average. Also, the honey sauce that they serve with the biscuits is only 7% honey. Why can’t they serve real honey? It keeps forever!
The store looked clean but the floor mat in front of the drink station was so sticky that my shoes stuck to it. Ughhh, gross. Also the drinks tasted watered down.
The next time I get a craving for KFC, I need to remind myself that it won’t meet my expectations and to go somewhere else.

I’ve gotten carryout from this KFC location maybe two dozen times — I really enjoy the grilled chicken and in my book, KFC’s mashed potatoes & gravy is amongst the best comfort foods ever.
This KFC is clean and the service has always been fast and courteous.
The only things to watch out for are (1) if you show up after maybe 7:00 in the evening, there never seems to be any white meat chicken available and (2) make sure to check your order BEFORE you drive off — last night I ordered a grilled chicken meal (GRL was clearly printed on my receipt) but when I got home and opened the box I discovered that I’d been given extra crispy instead.

The food is pretty good, however the wait is always rather long even when you are the only person in the drive-​thru. If you have time to wait, its a good place to go, but otherwise this location has nothing special about it.

Absolutely the worst. Will never go back. Only chicken place I have every been to that was told they were out of chicken. Maybe I should have ordered a burger!!!

Food is typical KFC, but the service here is worse than any other fast food joint around. They rarely have everything on their menu available. They let me place a full drive through order for 6 people to only then tell me they are completely out of Chicken except for Chicken Wings. How does a KFC run out of Chicken? They have never gotten my order correct on the first try in person or with drive through. I will not go back here and if I need fast food chicken, I’ll go to the Arby’s down the street.

For the 3^rd time, we tried to purchase chicken and was told «We don’t have any original recipe, it will be at least 15 – 20 minutes». We agreed to change to grilled chicken but after a 10 minute wait, were told that the grilled chicken wasn’t cooked enough and they couldn’t serve it. There was NO management person in charge — just minimum wage workers wandering around. I say DO NOT WASTE your time and find another place. If this only happened once I would understand, but after multiple poor experiences — and never any management, I’ve decided it is the KFC business model and I say «No thank you»!

I have to agree with Collin O here, it’s worse than your average KFC. Going through the drive-​thru is always a risk because they tend to screw up orders, a lot. Staff tends to have that «don’t really care» attitude.

KFC is KFC, however, this one is exceptionally bad. Most places in Carmel are well kept and serve quality food, but this is the exception. The tables are usually dirty here, the food quality is sub-​par, and the staff is rude. I’ve kept giving it a chance, but they keep letting me down. I’d suggest visiting a different one…
