Kris Sottosanti, DDS

Excellent dentist. He responded to my dental emergency call for my daughter (who is not even his patient) immediately and even though he was on vacation. SO greatly appreciated. Their office is clean and the staff are well organized and dental hygienist Diane is the best! Highly recommend this practice.

When I first met Dr. Sottosanti, he had just taken over a dental practice from Tony Ricciardi, my dentist since moving to the Monterey Peninsula. I was concerned that the newly-​renovated office and new, state-​of-​the-​art equipment would translate into patient dollar signs. Over the past 5+ years of going to Dr. Sottosanti, I have had a one-​visit-​crown (fabulous!) and most recently, an emergency visit that ensures he is my dentist of choice. He took my call on New Years Day, saw me almost immediately at his office with no support staff (he had to open the office and get the equipment up and running) and facilitated an appointment with a specialist for a root canal. Due to severe pain and not being able to do anything about a root canal on the weekend, Dr. Sottosanti started me on an antibiotic so that I would not get a raging infection before I could get in for the «fix.» The other benefit of the antibiotic was that the pain subsided and allowed me to make it through the weekend in comfort. The office is comfortable, staff friendly, and there is never more than a 5 minute wait. I recommend Dr. Sottosanti.

I’ve been going to this office since I was a wee lad. Pat, one of the dentists there, has been cleaning my teeth not long after I learned to add and subtract, and she always tells me the story of the first (or one of the first) time I went in with my mom. She’s almost like an extended family member to my family and me. That’s definitely special.
Kaja the receptionist was able to get me an appointment the day after I called in, which was pretty darn convenient! Unfortunately, I had a small cavity developing but was able to get it filled later that day. That was particularly well-​timed since I actually now live and work in the Bay Area. Dr. Sottosanti and Katy did a quick, thorough, and painless job of patching up my back molar. It was almost as if they were doing a perfect test run in a simulator; it was flawless.
Everyone in that office is friendly and personable. I could have an appointment with someone I don’t know and I would feel just as good going into it. Kelly has also cleaned my teeth a few times and is awesome, too. I can’t imagine going anywhere else.

My experience today with Kris & his staff was amazing!!! Excellent! I was so Happy with him & his dental assistant was great! I love the latest technology he was able to make the crown right in house. No waiting & putting a temp on & coming back in two weeks. I love it. Front office staff was kind, friendly and wonderful. Kris you rock!!!
And I love that you get to watch T.V. & get a warm neck pillow & one for your hands as he performs the dental work. Thanks to everyone. :)

Excellent dentist who uses the latest patient-​friendly technology. New crowns are made in-​house so you wait 15 minutes instead of two weeks. Friendly and competent hygienists and staff. Highly recommended.

My husband and I just moved here and needed a new dentist. Based on the one great review on Unilocal,we tried Dr S. We are SOOOO pleased. They are an excellent staff and super friendly. Hygienests are excellent. Very thorough AND you get TV above the dental chair, sunglasses to shield your eyes from the glaring lights and a warmed neck pillow. Whoohoo. I don’t hate the dentist anymore.
My husband has bad teeth. Lots of crowns, fillings etc. They’ve been so thorough, even are replacing one of their crowns that they think just isn’t fitting perfectly FOR FREE. They also don’t seem to try to oversell any additional services… I’ve had plenty of dentists try that tactic.
They’re hard to get in to see, seem to be very booked, but worth the wait.
