The chicken soup is delicious! My go-to comfort food.

Some of the best Mexican in Indy. I get the fried chimichanga with shredded beef which the burnt ends are to die for.

The food is always good here! The lunch fajitas are awesome along with quesadillas, really everything taste good! Lately I’ve been stuck on the Chicken Soup(small bowl) with two hard shell beef tacos: D

Nothing amazing, but good quality Mexican food. I’ve come here a couple times with coworkers for lunch, and the service is quick and perfect for a lunch hour. I’ve tried the fajitas and one of the veggie lunch options(I don’t remember which one, but it involved an enchilada and a burrito, I believe. Both were tasty. Prices are all great for lunch, as well, and the interior is brightly painted and cheers me up when I walk in. The benches are all painted colorfully, Mexican style. I have no huge complaints — it’s just average enough that I probably wouldn’t come here on my own without my coworkers.

Stopped in for lunch in a Sunday. This is the second location I’ve visited and the quality of food seems to be superior to the one on the southside. The food tastes pretty decent and I love the décor with the oh-so-colorful chairs and tables. Server was friendly and attentive. My only… confusion is why the tamale has(what I think was) BBQ pork in it? Then it’s covered in enchilada sauce and some ground beef? I thought it was kind of odd and made for a very weird flavor combination. Overall, it was okay. I would probably go back.

I can’t believe this place is right across the street and I never knew it existed. So yes! It needs a bit of signage. But let’s talk about food… Have no idea why anyone would give a bad review. This place is on point! Food is delicious and staff is nice and tentative. I’ve been there twice and I have to say it’s my new favorite spot in the neighborhood. Yes… Salsa is a bit spicy… But isn’t that what Mexican food is all about?! Anybody that would write a bad review probably expect Taco Bell flavors. This place is authentic and food is delicious. So if you are looking for a new spot for Mexican food definitely check it out! Nothing fancy… But if you have some cravings for real Mexican, give it a try. And can’t beat $ 516oz margaritas. They definitely aren’t light handed on tequila… A+

We have visited this restaurant twice, and it’s good. In assessing strip mall Mexican that offers a wide array of dishes, La Hacienda is as good as it gets in my opinion. The food is cheap, decent quality, and the place is nice. You get a true family environment as well. On my most recent visit, I had a combination dinner with a beef taco, beef enchilada, rice and beans. The beans were great. The taco and enchilada were of fine quality. Definitely better than what I’d make at home, not mind blowing if you are looking for a gourmet Mexican food experience. The ground beef could stand to be seasoned a bit more. The salsa that comes out at the beginning is delicious. The service on our first visit was great; waiter was very attentive and frequently by our table. This past visit, service was lousy. Waiter asked what drinks we wanted, we said two diet pepsi’s. Five minutes later, he returned to ask what drinks we wanted… okay, that’s no big deal. After we ordered our food, though, we never saw him again. There was a table with 15 people, they took all his attention. We were done eating before getting a single drink re-fill, then had to wait awhile for the check. In all, a 3 star«A-OK» rating is sufficient for La Hacienda. For strip mall Mexican food, I’d say it’s in the upper echelon, but if you want a gourmet meal at a trendier type restaurant, go somewhere else. I’ll definitely be back.

I love this place! Margaritas are amazing, staff is friendly, salsa is awesome and the food is awesome! Their chimichanga is awesome, and I Always take my friends here. Although ita not everyone’s favorite, if you like flavor and delicious go here. It reminds me of el rodeo, but just a little more awesome! By far my favorite place in Carmel To eat. Try it if not for the food, the margaritas.

La Hacienda is a classic Mexican restaurant that is bond to have something for everyone. I met some people here for lunch as the restaurant is close to where we all work and I was pleasantly happy with the experience. There is a colorful, vibrant atmosphere, and the service was good. They have a solid selection of lunch specials that are pretty much guaranteed to fill you up. I ordered a regular 16oz margarita because it was Friday, so why not? It was a great margarita – nothing too special, but a consistent, strong margarita. Like a classic Mexican restaurant, chips and salsa were provided as a complimentary appetizer and the salsa was very tasty. I ordered the lunch special that came with a hearty beef burrito, chicken tamale, and a big helping of rice. I loaded Cholula all over it and went to town. It was delicious! My comrades did another lunch menu deal, and the other did one of the daily rotating specials, which is a great deal in itself. If you’re looking to try a new restaurant or lunch spot, La Hacienda is certainly worth a look!

Pretty horrible all around. The best part of my experience here was the $ 4.99 margarita. Your choice of frozen or on the rocks. They give you a nice pour for 5 bucks, so no complaints there. Burrito del mar was an interesting take. There needs to be some sort of law against serving imitation crab in a burrito. No self-respecting Mexican I know would allow this atrocity to happen. Then on top, it’s covered with this weird white queso sauce that tastes more processed than an imaginary Lunchables/Handi-Snacks hybrid cheese I might have eaten when I was a kid. The service was fair, but not great. Regardless of how far north we are, in a landlocked state, I’m certain there are better Mexican options to be found.
