Loman Eye Care

I had my first visit to Lohman yesterday, after neglecting my eyes for two years. The ladies up front were very pleasant and got me right in for my pre-​exams. I only waited about ten minutes after that for Dr. Berghoff. She was very nice, professional and fast. Within another ten minutes, she figured out my prescription had changed fairly drastically. They have a nice selection of designer frames and were happy to work with my insurance and financial situation.
Coming from Target Optical, Lohman was a breath of fresh air. They’re fast, professional and very nice. Highly recommenced. Can’t wait to pick up my new frames!

So very impressed with Loman Eye Care! They get you scheduled quickly (with staggered hours to accommodate any schedule), appointment times are kept on track so as not to waste your time (which is a nice change of pace), and they are incredibly helpful and patient while you pick out frames! The superior customer service doesn’t end there. If you have any problems afterward (for instance, a rambunctious toddler who likes to grab your glasses), they go above and beyond to help you resolve the problem and get you back in working order! They have definitely earned my loyalty after just one visit! I cannot say enough nice things about the entire practice; I highly recommend Loman!

Came in for my first appointment. All of the staff from the tech, to Dr. Berghoff to the optician were FANTASTIC. My last eye doctor told me I was going to have to bite the bullet and get bifocals. I explained to Dr. Berghoff that I didn’t want to wear glasses, unless absolutely necessary and she prescribed a mono vision contact lens and I can see for the first time (without readers) in 7 years.

Dr. Berghoff is a really great doctor. She takes the time to do a thorough exam and asks lots of questions to make sure you are comfortable with your prescription. I followed her from another location and couldn’t be happier. I’ve had experience in the past with some places that don’t give your eyes the attention they need and it is a refreshing feeling when someone takes your eye health seriously. She noticed a small dot on my retina a few years ago and each year she tracks it to make sure it hasn’t grown or moved. She called it a freckle. :)
My prescriptions have always been dead on and this office has a large selection of frames. I recommend Dr. Berghoff to people all the time and they always thank me. You will too.

Have been coming here for a while, but no longer. You are never seen on time, usually have a long wait past your appointment time.

My insurance company let me redo an eye exam here after another Carmel optometrisst refused to give me a 2 year lens prescription as required by government regulations. Although the doctor I saw last time had left, the new doctor was very thorough and professional and gave me the required 2 year script. Recommended.

I scheduled an appointment here a couple years ago thinking I was scheduling with Dr. Loman. When I arrived, however, I was sent to a woman (whose name escapes me now) that I hadn’t heard of. I have pretty much had the same prescription since childhood with glasses prescription being slightly different than the contacts. I was here for a contact lens examination, however, and the woman tried to give me a lesser prescription for contacts, fitted them in my eyes, and barely looked at my eyes after that. I told her that I didn’t think the prescription was right as I was seeing blurry out of my contacts. She tried to convince me I was wrong until I insisted that I wasn’t, and that I knew whether I could see out of my own eyes! I had to insist that she fix the problem, and she would have just as soon let me walk out of there with the wrong prescription. I felt as if she was rushing through and could not have cared less that I was there. This place is expensive, and I expected the service and expertise to match the price. However, I’ve had more thorough exams, more knowledgeable professionals, and friendlier service at Walmart Vision Center and Lenscrafters.
