I’ve been working just down the street from this location and I had never stopped by until today. The only reason? It «looks too expensive for Lunch,» I told myself over and over again. But I finally decided to give it a try after reading fellow Unilocaler reviews and mentions that it had a lunch special. It would’ve been less than $ 10 if I’d ordered water and didn’t tip, which would be a great price for premium pizza that is among the best I’ve tried from a coal or wood-fired oven. With the diet coke and tip I got out of there for $ 16 even. I’m a big guy who likes his Pizza and I’m pretty sure I have Italian blood, so I consider myself highly qualified. let’s just say they beat expectations with the outstanding basic lunch offer — cheesy bread and a small thin-crust pepperoni. I could only down half the sticks and ¾ of the pizza, so there’s breakfast tomorrow! The one thing that stood out, ironically was the temperature of the food. Everything was piping hot — even the tomato pastor the breadsticks. Think of how many times you’ve had that hot.. . NEVER. That tells me someone thought through everything. Thanks for the outstanding food and service! I will be back.

If you don’t mind sub par food. I feel bad rating anything lower. This place was clean, friendly, efficient, orders correct and awesome environment. All of these factors create an amazing dining experience. Unfortunately the food was not the most delicious. Pizza is okay, French onion soup okay and Ruben okay. Salads were great :)

My wife and I had a very nice meal here on our first visit. She had a chicken, spinach salad and I had a Caesar salad and veggie pizza. The food was excellent and the service was equally excellent. We’ll definitely come again. The manager stopped by our booth and chatted with us. Very nice experience!

Tonight I had dinner with my lovely aunt and cousin. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and our waitress was great. I had the black bean burger which was a little dry. My cousin had the chicken Alfredo which she thought was very good. My aunt had a veggie pizza(which I had a slice of) was really good. I would definitely recommend the pizza.

My wife went there with some friend prior to me and had a bad experience. I decided to go with some work friends for lunch for a going away lunch for a co-worker. Ok, I’m sure the pizza is good, so maybe go with that. But I went with a lunch deal chicken chili and Ruben. First the chicken chili was watery, mostly beans and a few pieces of chicken. It was served room temp. In fact the cheese wasn’t even melting on top. Next was the Ruben, it was a basic panni sandwich anyone could make and was over cooked. I but a piece off and half the bread came off with it. It was supposed to have 1000 Island dressing but I only tasted at the bites at the end. A co worker had the pizza that was supposed to come with Artichoke hearts and that was missing. He sent it back and the waitress said they were pressed for time so they can just heat up some and throw it on top. My opinion, this was lunch, not a big crowd and the service was poor and the quality of food was lacking. I won’t be coming back

Hands down one of our favorite pizza places. We love the hot Hawaiian pizza! Watering hole Wednesday is a great night to visit for $ 2 pints of a rotating tap. Laura is a wonderful server and we usually try to sit in her section. Great staff and usually not too crowded to enjoy a game playing on tv.

You have to get the Mac Lovin’ for dessert. They make it to order and it takes about 10 minutes so they can put it in right before your ready to get it hot, fresh, and so good. It’s the perfect end to a good meal. I am a fan of the pizzas and love you can get 2 kinds on one large pizza. I like the Stockman with all the meats and Hot Hawaiian that had BBQ sauce, fajita chicken and pineapple with jalapenos was really great. The original crust is good and you can even get gluten free crust. The tenderloin is huge and tasty and I like the Italian Chicken Panini. They have some good lunch combos.

First came here for Northside Nights about a year ago and loved all of their appetizers and choices of different pizzas. Have been back many times and would highly recommend this place for a chill night with friends.

My brother and his partner insisted that we go to Mackenzie River Pizza Co because they were, «Sooooo good.» We ventured to this location on a Sunday around 12:30 P.M. It was pretty dead inside so we thought we had gotten lucky. We walked into the dining room and it was beautifully decorated in wooden chairs that resembled logs and trees with Christmas lights in them. We were seated right away by a sweet young lady at the front. After we sat down it took several minutes for our waiter, Dallas to even acknowledge that we were there. After he took our drink order it took another several minutes to receive our drinks. My brother and I ordered the deal from the lunch menu.(It was nice that they had a lunch menu on Sunday) I ordered the house salad and pepperoni pizza, my brother had the logsticks and chicken quesadilla, his partner had a cheesburger. As we’re waiting patiently for my salad and my brothers log sticks we notice the waiter in the back with our food on the counter infront of him just talking to someone in the kitchen. We’re waiting, waiting, waiting… he finally brings the food 4 – 5 minutes later. My house salad was really good and the raspberry dressing was perfect with the pears and grape nuts. I highly reccommend. My brothers logsticks were okay. It was just basic frozen tasting dough with mozzarella melted on top. While we ate the first part of our meal my brother needed a refill on his drink. Our waiter was no where to be found. Finally the manager saw the empty drink and came to refill it. He handed it off to the nice lady in the front to refill. Which she did promptly. We received our food shortly after and everything looked and smelled wonderful. My pepperoni pizza was okay… the pepperonis tasted generic. I don’t know how else to explain it. Just really not good. The pizza itself was just okay. The cheese and the sauce were okay but the crust could hvae been better, maybe cooked more? My brother’s quesadilla was soooo good! Perfectly cooked and seasoned and pretty big to boot. The cheese burger looked good but I didn’t try that so I can’t comment. My dining partner said it was really good. We ran out of drinks again and could not get our waiter over again. My brother decided then that he needed to talk to the manager about the service. With my empty drink in hand he went to the hostess stand where the manager was. The young lady again went to refill another drink. I believe the managers(maybe owner?) name was Eric. He explained to Eric that our waiter had been no where to be found when we needed drinks and this was the second time. The manager came over, apologized, gave us 50% off the bill and a free dessert. He was super nice about the whole thing. My brother frequents the MacKenzie River and said that this is nothing that they have ever experienced before as far as service. We will go again in the future I’m sure but I don’t think I’ll be getting the pizza again.

The pizza is underwhelming, unfortunately. We got the original crust Good Ol’ Boy pizza, which is extra mozzarella and extra pepperoni. It was rather bland, and the crust was weird: as if it didn’t know if it wanted to be doughy or crispy. So it was neither, and pretty forgettable.

Great service. I’ll leave this short and sweet. The flathead pizza with the chicken, bacon, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, and alfredo is amazing! I’ve had it at both places and both times it was devine! That is all!

Eh, food was ok, bartender was very overwhelmed, and this was 2:30pm! Pizza was super doughy and the guacamole had a fishy taste… pretty gross. We will not return or recommend :(

The service was good but I wouldn’t come back for the pizza. My husband and I both ordered the 10 — inch pizzas on thin crust. The crust was undercooked and couldn’t hold up to the toppings or the sauce. The toppings were good and seemed fresh but the sauce was too sweet for my liking. When I mentioned to the server that the crust could be more crunchy she said I could ask for it «extra crunchy» next time. I would have been happy with any crunch at all. She was nice and quick with requests which I appreciated.

They did a great job with our group of about 35 people on a Saturday night(soccer team and assorted parents). The two waiters they gave us were hustling the entire time. With that many people, yes, the dishes all came out at different times, some drink orders and refills took a while. It was a gorgeous night and we were sitting outside in the beautiful evening sunshine, so we didn’t care. One entrée completely fell through the cracks and didn’t arrive until we were all ready to leave(it was quickly taken off the bill, but still very tasty from what I hear…). Food was good average to above average. Everyone left full and happy. Great service gets them the 4th star.

We live very close by and go pretty frequently. It’s a great sit down place with a very extensive menu. We have never had a bad meal and keep going back! We love to get the nachos and add the pork. I had never heard of pork on nachos, but after having them there 2 years ago it’s the only way I would ever get them! You get a huge portion with tons of nacho topping piles high. They now even put guacamole on it! You can also get other meats on it, but we prefer the pork. We got the Large Flathead Pizza and it was hot and good when it was served. We also got the carrot cake for dessert. We usually like to get the Mac Lovin’, which is a cookie backed in a skillet with ice cream and is amazing. The carrot cake was good, but it was no Mac Lovin’. The 3 of us left very full and we took home 3 pieces of left. Our server was fast and friendly and we enjoyed our meal!

We arrived around 5:45PM on a Tuesday evening and seated promptly, another couple joined us shortly later. The restaurant wasn’t too busy at the time. The server greeted us quickly once we were seated and waited for our friends to arrive. Once everyone was there I ordered the Baja Fish Tacos and my wife ordered a small Sequoia pizza. We both thought the food tasted good, much better than a previous visit. I’d rate the food at 3 out of 5. The staff was welcoming and the service was excellent, they were helpful and always seemed to be around when we needed drink refills. The food came out quickly after ordering. I’d rate the service at a 5 out of 5, so I split the two scores and thought the visit was a solid 4 stars.

My family started eating at MacKenzie River around 2004 in Whitefish Montana and loved it!!! It was a must stop at restaurant when we went skiing on Big Mountain. Their Caesar salad, lodgepoles, and pizza was the best. Plus the local water in Whitefish is awesome. Fast forward to now… My family was very excited to hear MacKenzie River opened in Carmel and Indianapolis. My family has frequented the restaurant often. We met the owners and learned their parents were part of the Whitefish MacKenzie River restaurant. Food and service has been great every time. We went yesterday for Valentines Day and really enjoyed the food and service. There was no wait to be seated and the waitress was very nice. We ordered the Mac N cheese and pepperoni pizza for the kids. Both were great. The pizza was huge! My wife and I ordered the bbq pizza, lodgepoles, and Caesar salad. All three were outstanding. The waitress even offered us chocolate covered strawberries for free for Valentines Day. They were great as well. Overall experience was great. The building, style, and décor remind us of being in Whitefish Montana and love it! Only suggestion would be to reduce some of the menu priced items… $ 6 for a kids meal is a little pricey compared to other restaurants. Huge kids portions but kids don’t eat a lot(depends on kids age — but kids less than 8 aren’t big eaters). The large pizza was big too, but I think it would be more appropriately priced around $ 14 to $ 15 dollars.

I was that guy that comes in 15 minutes before closing on a slow night and didn’t set my expectations too high. I apologized when I sat down for not knowing the«fall hours». Our server was very polite and knowledgeable about the drinks and beer. The signature drinks were exceptional and our server even brought us a few beer samples for beers we asked about. We ordered quickly and our pizza and sandwich arrived in less than ten minutes. Everything was prepared excellently. I was very surprised when everything came out and nothing appeared rushed and everything was piping hot. I will definitely be returning!

Great menu, even better pizza, but the service is declining more and more all the time. This place is totally getting by on the food alone, if you’re looking for quality service, then run and don’t walk from this place!

I’ve visited this location a few times and have had great experiences with the food and the service. Their pizza is delicious — I recommend the original crust, which features a garlic butter seasoning w/spices. Yum! Wide selection with a make your own pizza option. The service is great, as well. One waitress we had was very funny and friendly and helped us make selections on our first visit. The owner also personally delivered our pizzas to the table and spent time telling us about the history of the establishment. I highly recommend MacKenzie River! Bonus: they have gluten free and non dairy options!
