The Monon Center

Great gym! I love the Fitlinxx program, I feel like I have a personal trainer with me on every machine! Everything is very clean, machines are newer, and I like the size. Not to mention the fitness classes– these are awesome. Amber’s Total Body Conditioning on Wednesdays kicks my butt and I’m sore for days. If I ever move downtown I can see myself still coming up to work out at the Monon Center. I’m proud to be a member!

First of all, The Monon Center is more than a gym. and that is why we are fans.
Here you’ll find the standard indoor fitness center fare: weights, cardio machines, group classes, running track, basketball courts, etc. But, the Monon is nestled in a park, which makes it rather unique among fitness facilities. The complex also includes meeting rooms, an indoor and outdoor pool and outdoor water park, skate park, gardens, and walking/​jogging trail that winds through the park and around a fishing pond and wetlands. Monon is also close, as evidenced by its name, to the Monon Trail or Greenway, whichever you choose to call it.
The fees at Monon are reasonable and the facilities clean and functional. Apparently, much thought was given to the esthetic of the building in terms of keeping it as «green» as possible. Think bamboo flooring, native landscaping and such.
A family-​friendly fitness center/​park if ever there was one!
Also holds various special events and recreation classes throughout the year.
