I began taking lessons at the Arthur Murray Orange studio in SoCal. I moved back to Sacramento in 2004 for work. I was informed I could resume my dancing at the Carmichael location. After thinking about, I decided to give it a try. That was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. From the first day I walked in, I felt right at home. The staff was nice and energetic. The studio looked clean and inviting. I figured this would be a good alternative to going to the gym after a stressful day at work. I was right. The studio became my «second home». After learning Salsa and Merengue, I decided to learn every dance I could. I figured being a guy that knew how to dance would have an easier time meeting girls at the clubs. I was right :). Now, I have the ability to dance with any woman in any dance situation. I believe I got my money’s worth. With the help of the Carmichael Studio, my life has changed immensely. I’m much more confident in myself. I’ve learned a skill that has helped me meet many new friends, and I met my wife at a salsa club in SF. I’m proud to say I’m still in the Carmichael Studio and will be for as long as I can. I highly recommend this place

If you really want to learn to dance, this is the place to go! The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and the staff is top-notch. Franchisees Pedro and Jamila truly care about everyone who walks through their doors and work very hard to make sure that everyone is comfortable, no matter what their level of ability might be. I have always been told I was too tall and too clumsy to learn to dance. Much to my surprise, I learned in a very short period of time that I too can experience the joy of floating around the room and feeling lighter than air. My review wouldn’t be complete without giving a shout-out to my instructor Byron, who has taught me so much about keeping my head up … on the dance floor and in life!

Staff and instructors are friendly yet professional, great dancers yet meet you at your level to make classes easy and fun. We felt comfortable since day one and have been enjoying for about two months. The other students are like family and are all friendly and helpful.

I attempted to submit this exact review on 5−13−14 but had problems with Unilocal’s website, Here goes, better late than never. :) Arthur Murray Carmichael from the moment you walk in is bright and inviting, perfect for creating and learning. The studio has a newly laid large dance floor and freshly painted wall color which reflects the natural light streaming through the windows. We have wonderful studio Franchisee’s, Pedro & Jamila who are professional, courteous and work diligently to help students achieve goals, in a fun and relaxing environment. I have been a student for a few years and would highly recommend the Carmichael location where the entire staff will have you dancing in no time!

I am the happiest I’ve ever been since I found Arthur Murray. It’s my second home and I consider everyone there family. Since the moment I walked into the studio for the first time, everyone has been very warm, happy and caring. I’ve grown up with dance always being a part of my life, and the experience at this studio surpasses it all. Yes, it can be costly but you’re in no way treated like they just want your money and they don’t care. Every member of that staff has a passion and love for dance, and they’re happy that they can be a part of giving you that same joy that they have in their life. I had a lot of stress going on in my life when I first walked through those doors, and it helped me to be myself and to consume myself in joy every minute I’m there. The franchise owners, Pedro and Jamila are also great! I couldn’t thank them enough for everything they’ve done for me and how hard they work to make sure every single student excels in not only their dancing, but their confidence and happiness. Their hard work and caring, fun-loving personalities definitely make the experience unlike any other. I even got my mother to start dancing, and it has made me very proud to see her doing great and having fun. She had a traumatic brain injury in 1992 that affected her like a stroke, and also put her into a severe depression. Since she has started dancing, she has become the person I never really got to know growing up. She has a permanent smile on her face, especially when she’s in the studio and talks so much about dance and how much she loves it, and that she feels like she’s part of a family. I am beyond overjoyed that she’s able to finally have that happiness in her life and I’m happy to say that Arthur Murray Carmichael is family.
