I contacted this company on January 27. We needed various things done around the house. I described to the nice lady four fix/repair projects. She told me that they couldn’t schedule a visit to estimate the jobs until February 4. After waiting a week, Frank came out. As we went over the jobs Frank explained that he was more of a drywall/painting guy so he could not estimate everything. He wound up not estimating anything; even the drywall/paint projects we needed. He was very nice. I gave him my email address and ask that he send an itemized list with cost breakdowns. He said they would be able to do it later that afternoon. The next morning I got a call from another gentleman who stated that we had an appointment for that day(February 5) between 9 and 10am. I told him that not only did we NOT have an appointment I had already spoken with Frank the day before and was waiting on estimates that were now overdue. The gentleman apologized and said he would pass the word along. Alas, it is February 12 and I have yet to hear from this company. Several years ago they operated under a different name and were cited by the state for blurring the lines between fix/repair and purchase/installation. In reading other reviews I get the feeling that the company prefers purchase/installation-type jobs and it appears they do a bang up job. That’s fine with me but if they feel this way then they are contractors and NOT handymen. A «handyman» would have been able to estimate AND execute every job since none of them were electrical, mechanical, structural, or plumbing-related. Again, if their preference is otherwise; fine. But flaking out on commitments that Frank made on behalf of the company warrants a Unilocal review. Realistically, I can’t give them any stars because they really haven’t done anything. If you want new floors, a new room, a big renovation project, or a new deck the reviews mean you should give them a chance. However, if you want a real handyman«Eek! Methinks not.»

Consistently Great Handymans! I used Handyman Contractor to paint interior stairs and to do a color coat on a section of the exterior stucco to hid the stucco repairs. The individual that Handyman Contractor sent over to do the painting … Frank … is an artist, not just a painter. He really took the time to do a flawless paint job and even took my paint back to the store because he was unhappy that the tint was slightly off(I looked fine to me, but I’m not an expert). Frank showed up on time, work hard in 100+ heat, clean up after himself and was considerate and polite the entire time. I continue to recommend Handyman Contractor to anyone who needs a craftsmen performing work around their property.

We were thrilled to have had this company recommended to us by someone who’s option is highly valued. They showed up gave us a bid on the spot and we hired them! The workman came for appointments on time and was an expert at what he did. Our kitchen sub-floor was replaced under all other bids with the work possibly being better than the highest bid! We are going to have them paint the inside and outside of our home next and do some plumbing for us in the future. My husband is a licensed general contractor and I’ve worked in property management. It is our opinion you will not go wrong by hiring this business! Tammy and Bill Voss

I just had Handyman Contractor do some simple things around my home… paint a wall, install a new toilet paper holder and repair the original hole. paint the exterior side of my front door and install and new kick plate. This took the handyman less than 5 hours and about a ½ hour of that was spent in clean up of his tools. He did a decent job however, my cost came to $ 138 per hour. I customarily pay between $ 25 and $ 75/hour for a handyman. Yes, I knew the cost up front and it seemed expensive, but I thought it would take more time, therefore lowering the cost per hour. Maybe I’ve just been lucky, but $ 138 seems out of line. The quality of the work was fine, so if cost is no object, call them.
