This is a quiet and well manicured little park nestled within a larger rustic area of bike/walking paths and oak trees. There is a large grass field for playing games and running around as well as a unique rock and forest playground area with slides, swings, and objects for kids to climb over, under, and through. There is a drinking fountain for doggies to quench their thirst as well as one for their humans to also grab a sip. There are also sanitary bags and containers to pick up and properly dispose of doggy doo-doo mess. The playground area isn’t shaded and it can get a little hot on the warmer days, so be sure to check out the equipment beforehand so your kiddos don’t get a burn. There is a shaded picnic area with tables as well as a single outhouse restroom that gets locked up between sunset and sunrise. The park is normally quiet with few people and is a great place to walk or ride to in the evenings, but if you’re driving over there is also plenty of curbside street parking along the neighborhood road on Jan Drive.

This is a very pleasant neighborhood park off Jan/California in Carmichael. There are lovely biking/walking paths, large grassy area, drinking fountain, port-a-potty, extensive play ground equipment with swings, slide, balance & climbing equipment, benches, picnic tables and a sunshade. Its not overly busy no matter what time you go. There’s always friendly neighborhood folks with their kids and/or dogs to play together. The port-a-potty gets locked at sundown to discourage transients from making this park their home. I’m sure you can reserve the shade structure & picnic tables for parties. We like to ride the bicycles down to the park then play on the play ground equipment or kick the soccer ball/throw the baseball/football/frisbee til the kids wind down and its time to bathe & bedtime. I guess they were collecting money for the park by selling engraved bricks, what a neat idea!
