The Blind Pig is my spot on Tuesdays! Good beer, good people, and great staff. They always have something going on and the prices are pretty damn good. Coors lights are $ 2.50 and they always have different tap beers.

I like this place. Not usually my scene, but the people there always seem to make it fun. The drink menu is okay, I’m not an adventurous type of person so I always get the same drinks when I go out. I do like the music though. You get to pick from a wide variety & everyone there has different taste, but it meshes well.

My parents have a Sunday tradition of getting beer and food in the afternoon. Since moving out of the Bay Area they have been more adventurous, and actually go to new places all the time(instead of just one place each week). My mom and dad kept talking this place up so much that we decided to go here when I came up to visit. At first glance you wouldn’t think this place would be all that. It seems kind of small, dark, and a bit older. Personally, I think it adds a lot to the charm. It has that old bar feeling. The whole little area has that sort of quaint, old charm to it. So it that respect this fits in perfectly. The service here was superb. The waitress recognized my parents and actually helped my dad remember what beer he had last week. He is very picky about beer, and so it was great that she knew exactly what he had last time. She was quick, courteous, and very friendly.

I go to this place daily to collect people’s used cigarettes. As of lately they’ve changed their ashtray to make collecting cigarettes more difficult. I always receive unruly comments from the patrons while going about my business and the past few times I’ve been there the owner has walked out and given me the«hairy eye.» He’ll just stare at me until I drive off. I can understand if they’re angry because they want to keep their used cigarettes, but nobody has told me otherwise. All that happens is I get mean mugged. 1⁄5 stars because I can’t do 0⁄5 stars. I’m intolerant of intolerant attitudes.

Cool little joint with character but if you’re not a regular they overcharge. It cost $ 18 for a cider and happy hour Moscow Mule! Bartender must have forgot we were at a dive bar in Sacramento. I still left a tip since the first bar tender was nice and easy going.

Love this place! Great drinks, great customer service and ALWAYS clean. From bar top, to floors, to the bathrooms. They are always on top of things, and don’t let out of control people stay around long so it keeps a great relaxing feel to it. And the customers are great… Everyone welcomes everyone and will join in on dice games whenever. Love the atmosphere here! It’s great!

I was a little skeptical about this place at first. With the dark entrance, tucked in the corner of a shopping center, and no windows I expected this to be a grungy dive bar. But once I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised! Well-lit, good music, shuffle board, a dart board, and solid bartenders. They dont serve food, but you can always order take out Mexican from El. Palmar next door, or have the Chinese food from The Jade Room. And its awesome to hear the quizmaster call out«who ordered Chinese?» during a trivia round. They do trivia on Tuesday’s at 8pm, which is great fun! Will definitely be back!

I like the Bloody Mary at this bar. But the last few times I have been there it seems like it takes forever to get a drink! And I brought my sister there for the first time one night and the stupid security guard started shining his flashlight in our faces. Made the whole group of us uncomfortable so we just left. Didn’t even get a drink. The security there is crap! And if I didn’t like the Bloody Mary there so much I probably wouldn’t go back! I honestly think if there are bar maids and they don’t know how to make the drinks that they should be the ones to take the payments! Or teach them how to make the drinks! Don’t be counterproductive! That’s why it takes so long to get a drink!

Four stars for Bryce. The only guy I’ve met that can succesfully pull off a mullet. We went for the first time a week ago and will be going back for the third time tonight. If you’re looking to experience a low key dive bar, this is the place to go. Definitely need to try the bloody mary«in the bottle» or the two-face. I’d give five stars if they had a pool table and were open until 2 am.

I like this dive bar! The staff and security are very friendly whether you’re a regular or a first time guest like my wife and myself. My friend invited us out for trivia night and it was quite fun. Seemed like there were desperate 20 somethings here really trying to win Trivia for a free drink. Either way, we had a blast and ended our night playing the complimentary shuffle board. Oh and I noticed that some regulars were bringing in their own food. I guess this can qualify for a BYOF bar?

I went to the Blind Pig for the first time recently for Tuesday night trivia. Trivia was a lot of fun. There were a good variety of topics and types of questions. The bartender was very friendly and attentive. I could tell there were a lot of regulars at the bar. There was a dart board and shuffle board, but we were too busy with trivia to play. The bar does not serve food, but you can order delicious takeout from a Mexican restaurant across the street that will deliver to you in the bar. I will definitely be back for trivia very soon!

Evan! That’s the the name of my favorite bartender here(finally remembered to ask). He’s funny and super nice and I’ve brought numerous friends who love his service and drinks just as much.

Went to this joint a couple weeks ago. Honestly not all that impressed. Pros; The lone bartender did a decent job. Handled 6+ drinks at a time, talkative but not too much. Also, all of the bottles had sanatation covers over the pour spouts which was nice. Cons; holy crap. Bar top was stickier than a lint roller, beer was lukewarm at best, bartender said there was no beer on tap? also didnt cut off several patrons after they weren’t even able to get to the bathroom. By far the best thing about this bar is the zero tolerance sign out front. Good to see that they atleast take security somewhat seriously.

Where do I start, this place was the Camelot when I first graced the entrance in about 77′ again, «Mom can I have some money for dinner?» Blah blah blah. It closed some years later and opened as Who Cares which was a smoke here if you want to place. Had a great bartender, Kimmy she was my Sister in Law RIP passed in 08′ that made the place worth going into. It closed and the place sat dormant several years… fast forward to a place that is as regular and comfortable as that old pair of Levi’s or sweatshirt with holes you should have thrown out already. Comfortable and like some other bars in the area you always know what’s on the other side of the door… real people. Good capable personable bartenders a couple who are owner operators. A good bar, great selections of beers and liquor, shuffle board, darts, dice, some golf game, great Mexican food next door, great burgers across the street, so so Chinese just past the Mexican place. I’m glad to see they’re doing well and plan on my continued support.

Oink Oink! I can’t see anything ahead of me! That’s the first impression I came across when I heard about a fictitious business name being called«The Blind Pig». And I’ve got to say, I am not a big fan of the glitzy, glamorous, or high-end bars that are popping out everywhere. I’m as old-school as you can get so when I frequent a dive bar that I’ve never stepped foot in, its truly a hidden treasure in all respects. And that is just what I got when frequenting«The Blind Pig» Located on El Camino Ave. and adjacent to Mission Ave. in the Carmichael neighborhood of Sacramento, «The Blind Pig» is definitely like taking my DeLorean time machine back 20+ years and taking a step down memory lane. The parking lot in this area is dim, gritty, and uninviting to outsiders. But don’t let that keep you from entering in the«Pig». The nice luxury of all of this is parking is a breeze as all of the surrounding businesses have closed for the day. I came here with my lovely lady, Claudia H. on a rainy Sunday evening. And to add even more magic to this evening, fellow Unilocalers Jana T. and Miguel O. met up with us to enjoy our company, conversation, and concoctions. They both added a ray of positive energy, great vibes, and an intellectually engaging conversation which flowed so well throughout the duration of the evening. We kept our drinking to a bare minimum as Jana T. and I indulged in a crisp cold Bud light while my lady went for a Blue Moon. And since Miguel O. isn’t the drinker like the rest of us, he enjoyed a complimentary Diet Coke. As far as the interior layout goes, a few words to describe«The Blind Pig» is definitely dark and mysterious. And to add more of that vintage-retro flavor, there was a nice collection of wood inlays that look as if they’re from a bygone era. Additionally, for those who wish to partake in some entertainment for the evening, they offer a dartboard and shuffleboard for your convenience. We all ended up seating ourselves towards the rear of the bar. I particularly enjoyed the posh 70’s-inspired upholstery of the oversized sofa that we sat on. And it was only appropriate that we sat under the actual picture of the blind pig himself, eyepatch and all as he mysteriously stared at us from every angle. Some other nice features were plenty of pub-styled tables & chairs, a stretched bar area, and an abundance of patrons that you’ll never find lingering into Midtown Sacramento. Overall, «The Blind Pig» definitely does not disappoint as it has earned two thumbs up in my book. Sometimes if you don’t want to fight the parking, crowds, and high prices that other bars offer in busier areas, I would definitely give«The Blind Pig» a try. Trust me, if you’re a lover of dive bars like myself, you will enjoy the ambiance and service here!

I love all things vintage… I’m an old~soul which makes living in this era challenging at best… I have to fight against using the word«old» as for some reason it provokes a negative connotation for some people… Last night I finally got to experience the Blind Pig up close and personal after having had it bookmarked for months now as we ventured in after dinner to meet up with two of our fellow Unilocal friends Donovan & his lovely lady Claudia for some after dinner drinks… Dark, warm, cozy and the scent of wood & time is what hit me as I entered the Blind Pig and I immediately felt a wave off nostalgia wash over me and it rocked it big time… The ambiance was amazing as I prefer lower lighting in nearly all environments as it soothes my savage beastie soul… Wood is everywhere: walls, beams, tables you name it the wood looks like it’s been there since its first construction and I loved it… Tables are plentiful and thanks to our friends who chose our nest we nestled into a corner area located to the back of the bar that’s sorta hard to describe but the up-against-the-wall bench like seating was super soft and leather like upholstery with über high backs… You can sit down and sink into relaxed-zoned as you enjoy your elixirs… I get all relaxed again just thinking about it actually… The bar was rather quiet with only a few other patrons inside when we arrived and were immediately greeted by our bartender whose name I did not get but I did get his month & day of birth to size up quickly who’d I’d be working with and he’s a Virgo/Libra Cusper male and was friendly, fun and fast as he took our orders plus he was playful… Playfulness is always a +1 in my book & particularly in a bartender aka: Keeper of the elixirs… Beer: $ 2 a mug for draft and although I do love good ale’s and darker richer beers the carbs in them kill me so I went with the Coors Light. Glasses were clean and the beer was cool and crisp and you can’t beat the $ 2 a mug price tag either. My man does not drink alcohol and so his diet coke and refills were free being the DD. I always appreciate the hell out of places that do that for the DD and he did… Shuffle board and darts are also available and usually when I come into a bar I love to play however tonight I just wanted to relax & visit & drink… Of course it seems that anywhere you go these days there has to be just one a-hole which there was in the bar but didn’t let that spoil our fun as we encountered him while we were on our way out… Wish this place was just a tad closer to home but it’s still not that far as it’s definitely one of my new fav’s as it transported me back to the days when I was a kid when places like this were not just classified as dive bars but this ‘ambiance’ and style could be found in most establishments… When I feel like time-traveling backwards the Pig is a new go to for fillin that desire…
