They take walk-ins and they did a great job. I saw Wayne who I thought had told me that this was his first tattoo in 30 years which made me panic and yell back«you haven’t done this in 30 years!» He corrected me and said«no, I have been doing this FOR30 years.» Once we got those facts straight I was feeling much better. lol My husband and I came in to get our last name tattooed onto my ring finger since our pet pig Hampton had eaten my wedding ring the month prior. I was so nervous and almost backed out a dozen times from the moment we walked in the door. He sketched out our design and told me it would only take 20min to do so I sucked it up and sat down. I was scared and Wayne and my husband had to continuously remind me to breath so I wouldn’t pass out. Before I knew it, it was done! It only took 10min, it was just what we wanted and it really didn’t hurt. It has been 3 days and its almost all of the way healed. I have no scabs pain or redness so I consider this a win win for me! Also the shop is awesome. It looks like really cool and when you walk in you forget that you are in the little town of carnation. I recommend them for sure!

I really, really, really loved my experience here. ID is located in a small town– right next to a really great Mexican restaurant. Inside looks extremely hip and trendy, it’s clean and spacious and had really nice décor. There are countless sketches on the walls that really showcase the quality of work to be had here. I stopped by one day to talk about a design that I wanted custom made for a full back piece(my first tattoo) and Wayne sat and talked with me about it. He said he was perfectly willing to go ahead and design it, but would be more comfortable if I asked around to make sure that I wanted to use him as an artist before he did any design work, so I did. I came back in s few days and said I wanted him to do it. We discussed a few ideas and concepts and he talked me out of some the more outlandish ones. We finally agreed on a great concept and then he set to work on a few fabulous sketches. I came in the day before yesterday to start, and Wayne was very friendly and informative, he set me at ease and got everything set up in front of me, explaining everything as he went along. He got the stencil on my back and then gave me a small taste of the gun to make sure I could handle it. I could. We worked for three straight hours and I ended up with the basic outline spanning my back with very little pain. He was business-like and was very concentrated. He allowed a lot of buddies of mine to come sit in and entertain me the whole while and was only mildly grumpy when I kept moving around as I socialized. The next day, we finished. He was great about encouraging me through the really rough areas(ribs, near the armpit, and spine) and not letting me wimp out. He said«you’re not going to like this» to warn me when it would be really bad and«you can do it! «if I began to falter. It got me through 7 – 8 hours of tattooing– most of which I was smiling through. He worked extremely fast, too. When I thought he was outlining, he was shading, when I thought he was coloring leaves, he was coloring my pomegranates, when I thought he was doing my blossoms, he was putting the finishing touches on my snake. I was amazed. The tattoo turned out GORGEOUS. I cannot stop looking at it. I feel as though I made a friend in Wayne, he is a master of his craft, and has a fatherly air about him. He’s who I’m going to for my tattoos even if I have to travel.
