this place has changed hands more times than i can remember, and was usually mediocre at best. finally, it’s a very good place to eat! my server, ernesto, was delightful. i had the eggs benedict… the ham, or canadian bacon was fabulous, the eggs were perfectly cooked, and the potatoes are delicious. the coffee is kind of meh, as well as was the hollandaise sauce. all in all, a very satisfactory breakfast experience.

My husband and I had breakfast there on Sunday 1÷24÷16 before going grocery shopping.
I had a short stack of French toast (2 pieces of bread) with pecans and a side of crisp bacon. I know it’s just French toast and bacon but it was delicious!!! We had a very nice waiter, the place was clean,(bathroom too) and the prices are very affordable!!!
I ordered a side of Creamy chicken and rice soup for later and that too was delicious. Lots of rice and not too salty.
We will definitely be going back! You have to try this Pancake House.
They have other food besides breakfast, so you can eat lunch there as well.

This is one of the best places for breakfast around. Recently opened and closes daily at 3:00 PM. We have been meaning to go here ever since they opened a few weeks ago. Not only is the food and service excellent but the prices are unbelievably low.
I had the Lumberjacks French toast. It comes with two small delicious pieces of French toast topped with strawberries, a slice of tender ham, two slices of bacon, two eggs, two sausage links and hash browns. All for $ 9.99. Most of their breakfast entrees are under $ 6. But I was hungry. I normally can take it or leave it on breakfast sausage but this is the best I ever had. They were huge, tender and juicy. The flavor was great. Their coffee is unlimited and good but not great.
The service was excellent. The waiter had a white shirt and tie. I have not seen that for awhile. He was very friendly and attentive. This place is also close to home which makes it even better. I am hoping to make this a regular weekend stop.

I stopped for lunch for the first time since this place changed management and had a hamburger, which was excellent, it came with soup and the price was right. The service was good and the staff was friendly. I will be back.

I was craving crepes tried to order from some fancy French crêpe place in Lombard. I cancelled my order because they do not give you syrup. I found this place and placed an order. They were fantastic! I will be ordering again from this place. Thanks for satisfying my craving!

Breakfast special is great…

I agree with the other reviewer, nothing fancy but was delicious. Service was great, waiter was smiling and friendly which you don’t always get at similar places. Was happy to get fresh mushrooms in my skillet vs canned which is often times the norm. Prices were good and coffee didn’t taste burnt or old.

This place is new. It is where Lumanis used to be.
It’s only open until 3:00PM, so you can’t have dinner there, which is a shame.
Today, I had lunch here for the first time. I got the «Country Skillet» with eggs, and pancakes. The food is not fancy but IT IS REALLY GOOD. For under $ 10, you just can’t beat this breakfast/​lunch. Everything was served hot and delicious. Unlike some other «skillets» I have had around Wheaton, this one was flavorful, with onions, sausage (and sausage gravy), hash browns, perfectly done eggs over easy, and the side of two pancakes were just like you’d make them at home. The place was near empty at 11:30, but if it gets discovered before this guy goes broke, it will be full all the time. Go give it a try.
