Sorry this has taken so long. Over the Xmas holidays my furnace went out and my family was FREEZING. This was the worst time possible and the three other companies could not help me for days. AWE sent out a repair man after hours, pulling him away from his own holiday celebration. My repair was not cheap, but it was an older furnace and we knew it was going to cost money. AWE had a sense of urgency and fixed our problem for a very fair price. The owner called me two days later to insure I was satisfied with not only the repair but also everything his team did. Because of AWE’s incredible service and professionalism I am signing up for regular service so our furnace does not go out again at the most inopportune time. Thank you AWE. You did great work, FAST at a fair price. I would highly recommend his company. They had my family defrosted in no time!

This contractor has made so many mistakes while servicing my equipment that I finally had to fire them even though I already paid them for an additional year of maintenance. The big bad mistake was when they put R410A refrigerant on my R22 system, then I had to escalate the issue to a manager to get them to flush the system out before it totally destroyed my compressor. That mistake was the one that ended it for me. In 2006 they sold me a new A/C because they said the original one was leaking coolant. Lo and behold the new one wasn’t any better… Still leaking! Of course, they failed to notice it was low on freon for years, and in the meantime sold me an unnecessary hard start kit and I had to suffer with cooling coils that would constantly freeze up causing the interior to be 78 when it was 74 outside! Also the condenser made a horrible rattling they never managed to fix… I learned from my new contractor that they failed to balance the system properly during installation. I’ve had to put a 20 pound brick on top of it for years just so I don’t disturb the neighborhood. Also — they were unable to figure out why my blower fan wouldn’t work when I set it to always on. Heck I couldn’t even get them to install a new thermostat and I eventually did it myself! One year after they serviced my furnace I noticed a horrible howling noise when it ran. Turned out their technician had closed one of the dampers! I called a different company and they diagnosed the blower fan problem in ten minutes… Something A.W.E. couldn’t do in eight whole years! Needless to say I’m leaving A.W.E. and never looking back.

I see they have changed their name from The Heating a/c co, HHHmmm??? Gee wonder why? Get ready for the service/sales person to sell you things you Don’t need or want, Thermostats, start assist kits, thermocouple, ignitors, sensors… That’s how the servicemen(and awe) makes their $. Service people get bonus $ for each Un-necessay item. Customer beware! Shouldn’t get any stars but 1 is the min.

HORRIBLE!!! Not only did the guy show up late, he looked at my unit and said well it’s a complete overall, no saving it. When I explained that it’s only a 2 years old and just needed a check up, he started arguing with me. Finally called their office to say forget it, when their dispatcher kept telling me that yes he was on his way. Never actually listening to what I was saying, finally gave me to a general manager who said he won’t deal with me, only my husband since I obviously don’t know what is going on. Still disputing their service charges, Got my AC fixed by another company who mysteriously did it for Half their total charges! Stay Away!!!

I am always impressed by the people who answer the phones and the service guys who come to do the maintenance or installs. Always friendly, polite and they explain everything they are doing. VERY knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

My furnace was running on short on and off cycles. The ignition would turn on, fire starts, then just when the blower was starting the fire will go off. The blower will just blow cold air. So, I called AWE. The tech showed up. Almost immediately he suspected a crack in the heat exchange. He then removed the limiter switch, put a torch light in ½ inch and IMMEDIATELY in 1 minute concluded the heat exchange is bad. He then shut-off the furnace citing CO hazard. He strongly recommended I change the whole Furnace. FYI, my furnace has been running for like 14 years now. I called another company for a second opinion. This company, literally removed the blower and used a IR camera to detect if there was any crack. Needless to say, there was NOCRACK at all. I am very appalled how AWE jumped in to conclusion and used scare tactics to sell a new furnace. STAYAWAYFROMTHISCOMPANYPEOPLE. ITISUNACCEPTABLEFORAWETOUSESUCHTACTICS.
