Firestone Complete Auto Care

Called as soon as they opened on a Saturday morning, and the owner dispatched a colleague to my house to jump start a battery that wouldn’t take a trickle charge. Prompt, professional, courteous. Great overall experience.

Automotive care is not something I know much about, however, I do know that my oil needs changing (thanks to the sticker on my windshield).
So I happen to have an unplanned day off and I decided to take care of business. Off to get an oil change I went. Across the street from where I live there are many different places that offer oil changes. I chose this particular location for no real reason but I am so glad that I made this decision. I walked in and I was greeted by Lou. Knowing nothing about cars going to a place like this is a bit intimidating but he made me feel at ease. I asked for an oil change, he told me about the winter check special they had going and for $ 10 bucks you can’t go wrong. I have to stress that he didn’t try to sell me the service, he wasn’t pushy, he just mentioned it and I took the bait. He gave me a copy of my work order so I knew ahead of time how much this would cost me. He said it would be about an hour so I took a seat and waited. They had a tv on, free wifi and although the waiting area only had about 4 chairs, it was comfortable. About 30 min later Lou showed me what the inspection showed and everything was fine. 15 min later I was done. It took less than an hour, I was not pressured to buy anything and the service was great. I will definitely be back.

Stay away! They will try to sell you extras or put fear into you that your car needs something and is unsafe to drive. Told me I needed tierod for my truck, I took it to my mechanic and he said there was nothing wrong with my tierods? Just sent my wife in to rotate tires and they told her one tire is unrepairable due to a nail in the sidewall, when I called about it the guy told me its in the bottom??? But still not repairable. And very rude and cocky on the phone… but nice when trying to sell you services…
I went hear to have the destination tires installed because their a great tire… I won’t go back to this dealer…

This shop did 4 tires for my mother in a pinch and got her directly in and out with excellent service and excellent prices to go with it I would recommend this shop to anyone!

This is the WORST experience I have ever had. I brought my car to the shop at 10:00 am and they said it would be done befroe 2:00 pm. I called 10 times and left a message to see if my car was done and they never answered or called me back. I went there around 3:00 pm and my car still on a lift so I left and decide to pick up my car later in the day. I show up to pick up my car and they closed early and locked my car inside the shop!!! I needed my car for 5:00 am the next morning and now I am stuck being late to an important meeting because of this shit hole of a store. This place is terrible!

I had a sad experience for my second time at this business establishment. My inquiry on a headlight change for both headlights on my Buick Lucerne 2009, I was told it would take over 2 ½ hours labor and cost me $ 315. The two bulbs cost $ 20. Thankfully I knew a friend/​mechanic and he fixed it in 45 minutes and charge me $ 50.
He said next time it would only be a half hour he learned an easier way to do the repar. I now have another business I do not trust when it comes to fair pricing Firestone in Carol Stream is forever on that list.

Been coming here for years, they always do a good job and are honest. Fair pricing. But what happened to Jenna???

I went here for a quick oil change on my way home from work one night with the usual inspection, tire rotation, etc. and ended up waiting for like nearly 3 hours. I had so much time, I walked to the nearby Wendy’s ate lunch and came back and still my car wasn’t ready. When it was finished, the guy told me like 3 things wrong with my car like the battery needed replacing, the windshield wipers, etc. which I knew was BS because I had just changed the blades not to long ago.
For my following oil change, I went to my usual Midas near my work and they couldn’t find my lug lock key. So whoever rotated my tires at firestone obviously didn’t put them back in my car so god forbid if I have a flat tire in the middle of no where I won’t be able to even change my tires.
Seriously don’t go here unless you want to waste your whole day.

Parking: I like the fact I can park my car and not blindly drive into a garage door.
Location: awesome and close to shops incase you need to occupy your time while you wait, good will and Sally’s beauty supply close by.
Staff: friendly and knowledgeable and if they are not intelligent they have me fooled. Also informed me their was a coupon available prior to my visit which is I thought was very courteous.
Accommodations: comfy chairs while you wait and they are honest about how long they you are going to wait. There is coffee and tiny chairs for young children. But being games for your kids if you have them and need to bring then with you.
Prices: check for deals online, I was happy with what I paid for what I received.

Lou and his team at Firestone were excellent, courteous, and extremely helpful. They were able to quickly come up with a solution to some engine trouble that I was having after another garage wasn’t willing to take the time to do it and misdiagnosed my problem.
Let’s be honest; finding a garage that is honest is getting harder and harder to do these days. From my experience at this Firestone location, I can personally tell you that they pride themselves on it. I wouldn’t hesitate to take my car back here in an instant.

Wow the difference is like night & day since my visit, last year.
I just had tires put on and had the pleasure of dealing with Chris, Jenna & Jason while making my decision. They know what customer service is all about.
I worked for Firestone back in 1979 and back then customer service was top of the list, and many business’s have forgotten that.
The Carol Stream Firestone is a place I would recommend for all your Auto Care needs.
I did send a friend in some time ago and Chris was a real help to her during a major tire problem she was having.
