This location has taken 2 restaurants down(first Vangelo’s and now Jade). Next contestant is a brewery called Bulldog.

Restaurant has, regrettably, closed. Orchid, over by Stratford, is almost a mirror image of Jade and has similar food on the menu.

This is one of the few places in this area that I can get some fine dining, without breaking the bank. I’ve never seen the place extremely busy, so the service has always been very good. The one item that sticks out most in my mind is the Wagyu burger. What?! A burger at an Asian restaurant? Yes. Wagyu Beef, as foodies may know, is one of the most flavorful, juicy, and tender types of beef available. The resulting burger is extremely tender, moist, and flavorful. This burger can be topped any way you like, including bacon, avocado, caremlized onions, and brie(although brie costs a bit extra). The Maki rolls are very good, but not quite extra-ordinary. It’s no different than any other moderately good sushi bar, but you can bring your non-sushi eating friends here without making them uncomfortable. I’ve also had the pan seared duck, which has excellent flavor. Being maple glazed, I was afraid it was going to be overly sweet, but it was just the right sweetness for me. The skin was a bit on the chewy side, leaving me to believe that the fat could have been rendered out a little longer. Overall, the experience I’ve had in the few times I’ve been here have all been very positive. I look forward to coming back again and trying even more of their dishes.

Really enjoyed this place when I went a few months back. Planned to go back but just heard today that they have closed.:(

YAY! I went to my first Unilocal-Induced Restaurant! I would have never known Jade existed if not for Unilocal. My LOVA and I went here late one night(probably a Monday or Tuesday) for impromptu date night. It was about an hour before closing time, we walked in and the dining room was completely empty and there were a handful of people at the bar. The bartender/hostess came over quickly and I asked if they were still serving dinner. YES! So we chose to sit in the dining room where there was good jazz playing as opposed to the bar side that was playing more pop stuff. You could hear both sides of the music but strangely it wasn’t distracting. Food was awesome and there was a great variety to choose from. Service was a bit slow but that is to be expected when there’s only a bartender and a busser working the whole place. I look forward to visiting on a Friday or weekend to see what it’s like when there are more inhabitants.

Really like this place, despite it’s strangely cold décor and remote location. There’s a lot of different food here, so you could probably easily find something despite your mood. Everything is tasty and seems fresh. The first time the service was excellent, the second time(well it was one of the finals nights for the Hawks) was subpar. Would recommend.

In our quest to find the best sushi in the suburbs we got a coupon from and headed over here. We sat in the bar so I could watch the White Sox game and there was only one other couple in there eating also. The place looked nice and modern but this is to be expected for a new fusion restaurant. They say fusion is great but confusion is horrible. The part that I don’t understand is the addition on pastas to the menu. I only got a chance to taste the sushi and i am confident that they should just stick to this. To be honest I have no desire to try a risotto outside of an Italian restaurant. That being said we had 4 rolls, a tuna tartare, and a miso soup all of which were good if not great. The only real problem was with the spicy tuna tartare — the chips that came with it were unseasoned burnt flour tortillas that needed to go. As for the rolls the tuna madness was amazingly fresh and the jade dragon was also very good I would recommend them to anyone trying this place for a first time. Overall this place was a very good experience with the server/bartender being very nice and the rolls all being very good and fresh. I am going to have to stop by here for happy hour to check out the $ 4 maki rolls and ½ off apps.

Went here a few times for lunch and was happy with the results! I got the satay one time and the bento box another. Both were excellent but I prefer the bento box slightly more. Great stuff to chose from and the food tastes fresh! Will definitely be back.

The food here was very flavorful and priced fairly. It is out of the way, but worth a trip. The atmosphere was a little dead. I don’t think many people know about it yet. That coupled with the soft music made you feel a little bad for talking too loud. I hope more people start going because it looks like it could be fun with a larger crowd.

I gave this four stars, but is really probably closer to five. Jade is a really terrific place that for some reason I can’t understand is perpetually empty. I have been here twice and the 5 items I have tried were excellent. The dish that really stands out is the Sun Dried Tomato Penne Regatta. I wouldn’t really expect a highly asian influenced restaurant to nail down a chicken pasta, but it knocked my socks off. Large portions, the sauce was rich and creamy, bold tomatoes and massive chicken breast medallions so moist and juicy you could ring them like a bar rag. It is a beautiful dining room with more than attentive service, reasonable prices and a wonderful wine menu. Please, honestly, everyone give this place a try and tell me you didn’t like it, I defy you not to like it. This has very quickly turned into my new«place» and don’t want to see it go because lack of patrons.

Did not get the sushi when I went, but I did get the ahi tuna salad. It was very good, and I assume their sushi will be good as well. The service was great. The waiter was johnny-on-the-spot with our water refills. The best part was dessert. I got some red bean ice cream. The crème brûlée looked pretty good and passed the spoon test. Someone got the chocolate mousse as well which was pretty good, I think it was raspberries. The décor is very classy but the location I think is kinda way out there. It’s not on the busiest road and you can’t see it from Gary. Hopefully word of mouth will get out though.

I was kinda excited to try this place out because it sounded very appealing but I was disappointed. Placed in a fairly new strip mall the location was very nice. I came during dinner and found the menu to be not all that exciting… for an asian infused joint I was at least expecting the miso soup to be free, but no… it was $ 2. The service was good, but again the food was just so-so and a little over priced.

I came here for a friend’s friend’s bday. This is for their lounge, NOT food. I wish I got to try some though, maybe my rating would be higher. Anyways our party had bottle service and I admit service was great. Glasses and alcohol and drinks kept getting replenished. My 2 stars are for the music and atmosphere. =/The DJ kept playing really old songs like from the 80s, not top 40!!! The people in general were older and not down to dance. I for sure didn’t really fit in here since I was probably 7 – 15 years junior of everyone else. I was actually bored. Saw a few cougars and wannabe milfs on my way to the bathroom. I’ll give this place another try in 5 more years.

The west burbs certainly has no shortage of sushi dives. I wrongfully assumed Jade was going to be another to add to the bunch. However, realizing the quick turn around from the upscale Italian place that formerly occupied the space, it occurred to me this place be a bit fancier than most. Upon walking in, I had a good vibe about our upcoming meal. The place is richly decorated in a modern Asian-American fusion kind of way. My only gripe about first entering is that nobody was at the hostess stand. We stood there for a full five minutes before the server came to get us. She, in fact, was the only server for the entire dinning area which had about 30 tables but only 2 – 3 were occupied at any given time. The place is certainly slow but it was a very rainy, dreary night so I’m not sure how fair that assessment stands. First up, our appetizer. We ordered the calamari and I have to say, it may very well be the best calamari appetizer I have ever had! No squiggly bits(which my friends know I refuse to eat) and what was normally fried into rings was actually sliced into long strips. The batter they used was very flavorful but didn’t consume the calamari. It was served with a really fresh tasting Asian slaw. For the main event, we ordered four rolls. The Jade Dragon, the Spider, the Spicy Tuna and Spicy Tataki. The Spider was my favorite. For me, sushi is all about the texture and the spider was the perfect blend of crunchy and soft, spicy and soothing. The Spicy Tuna was a little different that I am used to at other restaurants. It was very large — nearly triple the size of some places. It was excellent, if not a little too spicy for my gentle tastebuds. But for spice lovers, it was a dream come true. The Spicy Tataki was a bit less spicy and incorporated the same successful competing textures as the Spider roll. My least favorite, if being honest, was the Jade Dragon. I felt the citrus flavor overpowered the roll, rendering the other flavors bland. For those that like a citrus kick, it is likely much better but for my preferences, it didn’t make the cut. For dessert, we splurged on the special — a coconut crème brûlée. I consider myself quite the connoisseur of crème brûlée and I have to tell you — Jade Infused may have served me my all-time favorite crème brûlée ever. You heard it here, folks. It was amazing… and the perfect way to end a fantastic meal.

Went here on a date with my boyfriend saturday night. The restaurant was rented out for a private party but we were tol that we could eat in the bar area if we wanted. Having wanted to try out the food here we decided to sit in the bar. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I appreciated ample time to look over the menu and the fact that we weren’t rushed to order. After looking over the menu I decided to go for the Waygu burger. I couldn’t believe they had a Wagyu burger here for only $ 11 so I to try it. When my burger came it was really large and very tender. I was actually quite surprised because I wasn’t expecting a burger this good at this price. My boyfriend ordered the Bolgoui(Korean beef dish). It was also amazing and nice and hot. For dessert we had the green tea cake and I had the Japanese ice cream. Both were very good however I felt the cake was on the pricey side at $ 9. On our way out the hostess apologized for the restaurant being closed and gave us coupons for 20% off next time. I thought that was very kind as we didn’t mind eating in the bar. It was very nice to see they are concerned about there customers. Overall a great dinning experience and great value. I’m looking forward to going back again soon.

I decided that this year Valentine’s Day would be spent with my favorite pretty lady at Jade Infused. I saw they were offering up a lovely lil’ 5 course ensemble and we ended up giving that a go… With the wine pairing… Obviously. Let’s start with the food… The salad was delicious. Then came the seared scallops and one of their signature sushi rolls. The scallops were on some next level shit. They melted in my mouth and were seasoned perfectly, accenting the flavor of the scallops and not covering it up. The sushi roll was very respectable. I then dove into my filet mignon while the lass got it in with a miso flavored fish… Tilapia I think? The filet mignon was cooked perfectly although my accompanying veggies were a bit on the rubbery side. I kept seeing Gumby’s face on my asparagus. The fish was tasty as hell. I slightly regretted not ordering it myself, but I got a much needed dose of protein from my steak. We both got the green tea cake for dessert. Pimp shit. Highly recommended. Oh, and our waitress was a doll. The ambiance and staff at Jade are what really make it a must return spot for the kid. After dinner we headed over to their bar area. After ordering our(delicious) drinks we shimmied on over to the oh so awesome lounge. Leather couches and a massive projector. Chea! It was getting late as we were the only folks in the lounge. Someone even dimmed the lights for us AND put on the NBA All Star Game. You sir are a genius! The bartender oft checked to make sure our drinks were good even though where we were seated was kinda out of his way. AND our waitress even came over to the lounge and asked how our evening was! Truly top notch staff here. There’s a reason this is the only restaurant I follow on Twitter AND am Facebook friends with. If Jade Infused was my deceased pet hamster I would have buried him in a golden tomb. Tell me that’s not high praise. NOONE buries pet hamsters in golden tombs… NOONE.

We were the only people in this place for lunch today! Kind of creepy. The hostess told us that most of their lunch business is during the work week, so that helped us understand why the place was empty. We had a nice lunch with a server who was there, but not there if you know what I mean. Even though we were the only people there, he didn’t hover over us or trip over himself to get to us. He maintained a nice distance and was there just when we needed him! I had the satay box which was a whopping $ 5! I got 2 lemongrass satays, fried rice and a small bowl of miso soup. It was more than enough food. Hubby had Shrimp Yakisoba which was pan fried wheat noodles mixed with shrimp and vegetables. There were lots of veggies, especially mushrooms, but not so many shrimp. We split a piece of cake for dessert and I can’t remember what kind it was. I wanted the black forest cake, but they were out of it, so we got something else. Obviously it was pretty forgettable! I noticed that they have a kids menu here. This did not seem like a place to bring younger kids based on the interior of the restaurant and the placement of the tables and booths. There was a diaper deck in the restroom, so I think if you can confine your little one to a highchair, it would work. If you are at that toddler age where they want to get up and walk around, I would not visit this place with them. Get a babysitter and enjoy a nice relaxing evening here!

Enjoyed Jade on a Saturday night to try the new place in town and enjoyed a nice meal. Nice ambiance in the dining room and great music played at an appropriate level. Bar looked dark(plus), and not too crazy, I plan on coming just for the bar scene next. 5 Star food: had the Salmon Obsession Maki, Dragon roll, and the Spicy Tuna. All were amonst the best I’ve had. I really enjoy Kinta Sushi in town and I would put this establishment right up there as far as the sushi is concerned. Had the Mochi as desert(they were out of two others) and thought it just OK. I wasnt too crazy about the drink menu, but BLWN enjoyed the key lime pie martini(they were out of leechi juice for her first choice). 3 star service(but the waitstaff is quite young). What appeared to be very long waits between your standard breaks in service. Not a very busy night either. It also didnt help I had to fold myself up to sit the booth that we were seated in. Very uncomfortable in a very little booth by the window right before the big booths start. Avoid it at all costs if you are over 5 ft tall. I’ll be back again, just requesting better seating arrangements.

Went here because it is new in our neighborhood and wanted to check it out after a long day at work. Ooh, what a good surprise! We weren’t sure exactly what to expect, as we’d never been to any sort of fusion resto. This one is just what its name implies: dishes from various cuisines that have an Asian influence. Hubby had the miso soup(loved it) and the chicken teriyaki type dish(really loved!); I had the filet mignon with foie gras reduction and side of shiitake mushrooms sautéed in oyster sauce – marvelous! We will be back!
