Renaissance at Carol Stream

For my first place it’s pretty nice & quiet. It’s convenient to everything especially work! The leasing department was really helpful when I moved in and maintenance came right away the first day when I had an issue. Haven’t had any issues with neighbors, met them the first day and they seem pretty nice. So far so good. If you’re thinking about convenience this is a nice place to look.

Do not move to this place. My husband and I have been living here for couple of years and it is just getting worse and worse every day. The staff who works in the leasing office keeps changing every other month. And instead of getting better people, they just get worse one. The ones right now are so mean and lazy. Last weekend I went there 2 times asking for a package that was delivered and signed from somebody in the leasing office and 2 idiots couldn’t find. My husband went there, they told him to get inside and look for, and the package was the first one on the floor. They don’t even know how to read! It took over a year to have a front door lock changed. Our patio has been broken since we moved in, 3years ago, and they have never done a single thing about it. Also, there’s no kind of safety, no light around the building at night, kids wrote things in cars and the complex did nothing about it. There are a way better places out there, even not so far, for the same price.

This place is not top-​of-​the-​line but the price also indicates that. I have had no problem with neighbors, parking, etc. The office staff seems a bit lazy, you need to be on their case if you want something. Good, convenient location

They are SCUMMY. They beat me out of $ 200 and when I tried to get it back they gave me a number for an office in California to call and complain but arrogantly advised me that the office would only turn the complaint back to them and I STILL WILL GET THE SAME RESULTS .A negative $ 200 Candy The Property manager, Auriel The new clueless chick & Linda Almanza are all SCUMMY and I think the get kickbacks for not refunding Apt. deposits

DO NOT MOVE HERE… I moved in last Friday and already regret it and wish I could find somewhere else. Where to even start. My neighbor has blasted their tv/​music non stop since I moved in. Including well past midnight all weekend long. I have had to put in 7 maintenance requests. From the brown water that comes out of the shower to the stove not working. I come home from work today, the front door to the building was locked for the first time since I moved in and the key I was given at move in, doesn’t work. so now I am locked out of my building. I wait until someone comes out, get into the building and my apartment door was left unlocked by maintenance.
They NEVER answer the phone in the leasing office. EVER. I have left multiple messages, emails and still get ignored.
And now I come home after living 1 week here and they have already had to tear my bathroom apart because they painted over the water damaged wall. I complained that the wall seemed mushy and didn’t want to be held responsible for any damage that the previous occupants had done before me. They finally send someone to fix it, I come home after a very long day, my bathroom wall has been cut away. there is a fan on the rotten/​moldy insulation/​wood to try to dry it out when it clearly needs to be replaced. I can’t believe that they think it ok to rent an apartment in this condition. I might as well have just took all my money in the bank and just lit it on fire. would have been more entertaining that moving here.

It is worst place I could have chosen when I recently moved here everything was fine after two months the doors to enter the departments did not work more than twice lets them know what was happening and did nothing tried to get to my apartment twice and returned to make a written complaint nor did anything I had to call the police and say what was going on … finishing my contract so far have been a month awaiting my deposit I called them night and day late and do not answer the phone. .
