The Village of Carol Stream

Nice town, awesome people, good scenery (love the fountain), and good bars… one star because who can enjoy any of that when the POLICE ARE BREATHING DOWN EVERYONES NECKS ABOUT EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING. Hashtag GetNewPolice

Grew up here and still live here so this review is totally biased. Place is great. The area of Carol Stream I’m from has pretty much everything you need. Armstrong park is huge. Great for about everything from sports to picnics to just plain running. Tons of play places for kids too. The Carol Stream public library is right there and it’s a nice chill place to go if you need to study/​read a book.
Most people here go to Glenbard North High School which has a big public school. My graduating class was over 700 ppl. Legit sports programs all around.
And yes, like the review before me, there are many village events held at the «town center» which is the fountain on the corner of Gary and Lies. Everything from weekly bands to carnivals every summer. And topping it off with Fireworks. Then if you ever need anything else, Bloomingdale is right next door with everything. Great place to live.

The Village always delivers on the Chicken Wings! ½ Nachoes are a meal in themselves. Always a great place to go when you can’t decide what you want to eat!

That is if you decide to attend one of the many outdoor events that Carol Stream puts on in the town center during the summer time. Unfortunately it took me two years of being a CS resident to start attending these events. I have to say they are fun.
Even though it doesn’t have an «official» downtown area like some towns and is mainly industrial I would say it’s a nice place to live with plenty to do. . you may just have to look a little harder than with other places. Whether it’s one of the town center events that I mentioned above, a park district class or working with one of their village offices Carol Stream gets a thumbs up from me.
