Have to walk About 3 miles to get down to the beach. Sand is filled with dog/horse poo and trash. Lots of homeless live by the train track. Very isolated.

This place is such a slice of heaven, that I don’t even know why I am talking about it! If you are going north on the 101, you would use Exit 88 Padero and go left, then(instead of going left again onto Santa Clause Lane) go over the train tracks and right along a lovely 25mph street until you see the Loon Point parking area on your right. You park there, go to the north/west end and follow a path under the overpass, behind a home or two and down an access road to the beach. The beach backs up to some cliffs and you can walk quite a way up and down the coast during low tide, but the beach is quite small/intimate at high tide. If you are coming South on the 101 you would use Exit 90, go right and then a quick left and you will see the parking lot. Follow the directions above. Quiet. Serene. Beautiful gliding pelicans. The sparkle of the sun on the blue ocean currents. Rocky cliff formations. Sigh. Forget I told you about this place, please…

This is a beautiful quiet little beach with a horse trail access to the beach.
