Best pastrami sandwich in town! I always have to stop here whenever I am in town. Great place for lunch.

We stopped in because of the cute name and I thought it would be a nice lunch spot for the kids. It’s a very good sandwich spot with mature flavors like date jam and pesto mayo. They also have almond butter alternative and several flavors of fruit preserves, including honey. They have juices for kids and delicious chips. They have all kinds of different bread and I especially like the honey wheat. Today I ordered the caprese salad. It’s a little heavy on the dressing so I’ll know that for next time. Yes I’ll definitely order it again.
Food is really good service isn’t so great. I’ve been frequenting this place for some time and like many local establishments have dealt with crummy service. On a recent visit I decided I won’t be returning. When I said I was picking up an online order then the snotty girl told me «actually it was a phone in order» I know that sounds pretty harmless, tone is everything. Starting off with actually doesn’t usually lead to a kind conversation. Then when I paid cash and I was asked how much of a tip I wanted to leave.(They have a tip jar beside the register), if I was going to leave a tip I would have put it in there not hand it to this annoying little girl holding my change as ransom. Not to mention you just made me a damn sandwich there was no special service offered, you don’t get a tip for doing your regular damn job. Tips are for hard working people that provide a special service not for bitchy little girls that slap some meat and condiments on some bread. If you’re hungry the food is good here but you’ll get a side of bitch wether you order it or not.

I really like this place and the staff is really friendly, so why only 3 stars? The last few times I was there it took over 20 minutes for my lunch. so on my last visit, after waiting 20 minutes, I got my Italian hot sandwich it was burned(see pic). Now, I order, pay online and only order salads.

Sandwiches are great-fresh bread and interesting combinations. The chicken on the ranch sandwich was yummy. Also had the spinach loves maple salad-delicious! My only complaint was I went back and ordered a cup of soup. Says on menu that it is $ 1.95 with sandwich purchase. BUT-since I waited to order it, had to pay full price. Not a big deal, but would have been nice to honor your sign!

Visited twice so far & plans for many return trips. Simple delicious food at a reasonable price. Also try the soups of the day and deserts if you’ve saved enough room. Good stuff.

Great healthy sandwiches. You pay more here, but you get your money’s worth in great fresh healthy ingredients.

Passing through after the zoo and glad we passed up our normal lunch spot for something new. Such a fun selection of sandwiches, salads, combos and let’s face it — dessert sandwiches. I mean Nutella and marshmallow fluff?! Didn’t try it but it sounds amazing. My kid liked her Cesar salad and I loved the savory Sammy which is ironically vegetarian. Wish I lived closer, this would definitely be in my regular lunch rotation.

First the system was down to order; minor setback. So we called and ordered over the phone instead, they forgot an entire meal and got various parts of other meals incorrect. Food we did receive was mediocre/okay/nothing special. Many of us were left hungry since the order was incorrect. And side items were missing. Will try to stay away but I guess it’s convenient.

I stopped in for a sandwich earlier this week after visiting the Verizon store. I almost went to Subway, but decided upon Peebee & Jays after seeing it’s great reviews on Unilocal.Although the sandwiches here are more expensive($ 9 – 12) than Subway, you get better ingredients and larger portions in return. I shared the ‘chicken dressed up like a salad’ on focaccia bread with a friend, and it made quite a great afternoon snack. Everything tasted fresh and delicious! There is ample parking in the lot, making this a very quick and easy food stop. Definitely recommend giving Peebee & Jay’s a try!

I go here alot! Quick and fresh sandwiches, pretty good, not necessarily sub sandwichs but just gourmet ones and signature sams. Yummy for a healthy alternitvie!

One of the best sandwich shops in Carp! They have a smaller storefront that can get a bit packed during the lunch rush but don’t let that deter you. Peebee’s has a pretty extensive sandwich menu as well as soups and salads. My all-time favorite is the Chicken Dressed Up Like A Salad Sandwich on focaccia. It’s pretty stacked and has delicious house made ranch dressing and crispy fried onions. Most days I’ll save one half for dinner or lunch the next day since it’s pretty big. Peebee’s is on the pricier side but the overall quality is much better than what you’d get at neighbor Subway. If you want to skip the line you can place your order online and pick up about 10 minutes later. I’ve been doing this lately and my order has been ready by the time I get there. Super convenient!

Driving from Morro Bay to San Diego we needed a quick stop off the 101 to get a bite to eat, I looked on Unilocal and saw this place and the good reviews and was close to the freeway offramp. The cashier was very friendly and kind, the menu had so many options it was hard to choose a perfect sandwich. I ordered the Chicken and Greens sandwich, it was sliced chicken meat, roasted red peppers, balsamic spread, goat cheese, greens and pesto, it was AMAZING! I do wish it would have come with a side or the cashier offered the combo deal cause it was tasty but I couldve enjoyed a few chips along the sandwich. The meat was extremely fresh, as well as the toppings on the sandwich. I would go back again for the sandwich or try other things, everything on the menu looked good. The store was cute, looked newer and there was some construction in the parking lot and nearby streets but hopefully that wont be for too long. They also have outside seating in case you want to bring your pup to come sit with you!

Definitely more than pb&j on the menu. The build-your-own-sandwich option is almost overwhelming because it starts with a huge number of bread choices including gluten free and then you move through the list of add ons. There are also hot sandwiches, vegetarian sandwiches, and a wild variety of salads already concocted if you are having one of those indecisive days. Expect to pay quite a bit more than the Subway next door, but the sandwiches really are a full meal deal. Everything is fresh, and they seem small town friendly when I often stop in for the best deal in town-fresh brewed tropical iced tea for $ 1.50.

I stopped in on a lazy Carpinteria afternoon expecting a PB&J for lunch. I was actually a little overwhelmed by the number of options and the extensive menu. Being as I was at a place called Peebee & Jays, I wanted to pick something from that section of the menu. I tried the PB, banana, and honey sandwich. It was much more filling than I expected, but at the end it was still just a peanut butter sandwich. I guess there’s not all that much you can do to mix that up, and they do try with lots of options, but it wasn’t anything mind blowing or spectacular.

Listen up PeeBee Herman, lost me as a customer. Let’s make a special promotion where you buy 5 sandwiches and get the 6th ½ off. Since the business can’t handle the number of patrons that take advantage of the promotion, let’s instead take advantage of the patrons. Let’s say that it has to be 5 sandwiches in a calendar month. That will stop them from taking advantage of our promotion and make us more money! So if you buy the 4th sandwich on June 30th and then buy the fifth sandwich on the 1st of July, no ½ off sandwich and you go back to 1 of 5 purchased. Anyone want to buy a Gift Card to this place with an account balance of $ 67?
