The food was good. However it took forever to get our food. They need an experienced restaurant manager to run this place. They need a hostess who is better organized, and the staff need to be better trained.

Awesome place! Arrived as a walk in on a Saturday when they have live music, they did have a reservation list going so not quite sure on the policy. They were able to accommodate my group. Great selection of food, I would recommend to bring an appetite, since each plate has a lot of food. Empanadas were ok, I would have like to have seen more options(chicken) since its such a staple food in Colombia. The aji was good. The service was great, restaurant has a family ambiance to it. Music was great, the mojitos were awesome! Overall great experience, especially for the DFW area.

I love this place. It’s not your typical Tex-Mex. In fact, it is neither Tex nor Mex. If you don’t know Columbian food, try the Bandera Paisa, which is essentially a sampler plate. And one of the fruit pulp drinks(think smoothie, water or milk based). The strawberry is to die for. The décor is nice, colorful, low key. It’s just a great place. This is my second time.

great Colombian Food. Great Service. Ajiaco(typical Colombian potato/chicken Soup) on the last Sunday of every month is very good. Only wish that they had it more than just once a month. A fifth star would require them to add baked Colombian goods!

My husband and I went here last night for our very first time. It was clean, food smell delicious, waitress was friendly. We order the pork kabobs with green plantains and the Soup of beef(Sopado de Res). It was delicious! And raining outside so perfect timing!

First time eating Colombian cuisine and it was delicious! I’ve always wanted to try blood sausage and it was good. The big piece of pork skin I was not expecting. I really thought they were going to have a few small pieces on my plate so that was really a treat! The fresh fruit juice was on point. Glad I dined here.

Overall. Rate Between 3 and 4 stars. 1. Food — A lot of fried dishes on menu. I tried Plato caribeno, which has a couple of grilled meat choices. 2. Service. Was friendly when we had dinner here. But it was quiet 3. For the type of food, prices are moderate to high… Ie not cheap !

Good solid Colombian restaurant serving the typical Colombian dishes. No Colombian fast food to be had here though. But I’m glad to finally try this place after trying the other one nearby. This place is more of a restaurant — although casual with its cheap table clothes. But nevertheless, it’s more of a restaurant whereas the other one is more of a café and bakery(which is great, if you like Colombian pastries). And I was also told that this place used to be much smaller in the past. Glad to see that they’re growing. I ordered beef empanadas as an appetizer, and I have to say that they’re tastier than the empanadas at the other nearby location, and also more plump — both of which I really appreciated. I would not mind ordering this again. The waitress also came by with the sancocho de res, or the Colombian beef soup, and it looked really good, in a way that would make you feel cozy right by the fireplace. Next time. I also tried the bandeja paisa here(fried egg, maduros(fried ripe, sweet plantains), beans, avocado, chicharrones, sausage, thin grilled steak, and rice), and I thought it was pretty much on par with the other location — except maybe the chicharrones(strip of fried pork belly) were better, and the egg was properly cooked«suave,» with the runny yolk for the chicharrones. The sausage was alright, and the carne asada(beef) was also alright. I think the carne asada could have been better seasoned and maybe a better cut, since it was a little on the rubbery side, but it was still satisfying. The arepas were soft enough, for the Colombians — but Colombian arepas would never be as fluffy as the Venezuelan ones. They can keep trying. LOL. I was surprised to see they also have a mini version, but it was only $ 2 less, so I opted for the regular-sized platter. My friend also ordered the picada — which I thought looked better than my plate. It came with chicharrones, morcilla(blood sausage), chorizo(regular sausage), patacones(or tostones/mashed green plantain chips), yuca frita(fried yucca), avocado, and an arepa. And I sampled it — and the patacones and the fried yuca was just perfect, and the other stuff are great too. Overall I thought this plate was a better plate even though the picada is traditionally made to be a snacking plate for groups. I probably would forgo my usual bandeja paisa for this plate next time. So yeah… I think it’s pretty clear by now — I’ll be back to try some other stuff. :) Great place for Colombian food in Dallas — if you know what to order, and if you even like this usually-heavy cuisine.

I really love that this place has a vegetarian option, and gluten free as well. The Plato Vegetariano(Vegetarian Plate) was filling and great! Vegans: Please note, it comes with a fried egg, so be sure to ask for it without. This came with salad and a vinaigrette pico, fried yucca(similar to potato, just a slightly different texture), arepa, which is a gluten-free corn flatbread, a sweet fried plantain, red beans and rice. $ 12 for a filling gluten-free vegan meal… I’m satisfied. If you are highly sensitive to gluten, I may recommend not eating here, or just going with a smoothie and some plantains.

God bless Columbia! I loved this place. Decided to come here on lunch with some coworkers. I am so glad we did. This location is a sit down restaurant that is also a bar at night. I have been told that on certain nights you can come here and there is live music. When you walk in you are seated and the waiter we had was very nice. The restaurant was nice and I felt like I was on vacation. I ordered the Picada Casa Vieja. It came with yucca, potatoes, chicharron, steak, chicken, two different sausages, plantain, avocado, tomatoes and shrimp. That is a lot. The portions were definitely enough to get you full and then have something to take home. Everything was cooked very well. The only thing is that the shrimp seemed to be a bit salty though. Not enough to ruin my meal though. Then have two salsas that they serve with the food. I don’t think they call it salsa though. Whatever it is called it went very well with the food. The waiter gave me some to take home and I haven’t wanted to use it because I want to put it with something I make for myself. It is that good. They make smoothies as well. I got one to go and it was so good. I regretted it because I was so full but I loved it. There are so many other items on the menu I want to try. All of my coworkers food looked just as good as mine. I recommend coming to this place. I want to come at night when there is live music. I think it would be a good night out.

It’s been a couple years since we’ve eaten here and the quality has dropped. The Maduros(means ripe) were not ripe and were actually hard — awful. Over all everyone agreed the quality had dropped and nothing captured their attention other than the Tostones apptzr which was very good.

A genuine taste of Columbia right here in the Dallas area. The owners are from Columbia and have so generously brought their skill and love of Colombian food. Every thing on my dish was so unbelievably tasty and all blended so well together. From the black beans to the chorizo sausage and the egg and the bistek and the pork rind. These are all foods that I do not eat on a normal basis and would normally not care to eat but I’m thankful that my friend brought me here because I absolutely appreciated all these flavors. Their salsa was perfectly textured with the right amount of kick. I don’t care much for margaritas but there tamarind Margarita was by far the best and the biggest that I have had. The empanadas are perfectly sized with generous amounts of protein. Come hungry and leave a happy soul!

Finally I tried a Colombian place in Dallas… But it doesn’t rival my favorite place in Austin. BF and I started off with empanadas which is my favorite thing in the world. I was extremely disappointed when I saw them. They were TINY with a huge $ 3 price tag. I understand, maybe because they’re using brisket? I’ve had better, bigger, and cheaper empanadas. They were good though just not worth the price. If you want to order a dozen or so you won’t get a discount. At least the bandeja paisa was good. My guava juice and BF’s manjo juices were good and the portion was generous. Service was decent as well. Personally I wouldn’t come back because the expensive empanadas just killed it.

Colombian restaurant in Dallas. 5 stars. I’m Colombian and I can say this place tasted authentic. I’m very used to ordering from the side menu since I’m a vegetarian. I was pleasantly surprised to see a vegetarian option on the menu. A full plate of salad with a brilliant dressing, red beans, delicious rice, yucas, plantain, and an arepa. All that for 11.99! Delicious. It’s nice to see a Colombian place conscious of the new trends. I was a little sad they didn’t have bakery items. But they never advertised as such so I can’t blame them. The environment is also authentic. Colombian flags, decorations and posters of Colombian scenery. Only con is that the rest of the items on the menu are a bit pricey. 5 dollars for juice. Kind of steep.

I don’t know about this. I might have ordered the wrong thing? I will give them another try. I got my order to go. One shish kabob of steak and chicken with rice and beans. It came with sweet plantains also. You can never go wrong with sweet plantains. That is my all time favorite!!! I can never get enough! The steak in the steak and chicken kabob was chewy and hard. It was too tough to eat so I threw away all the steak and ate the chicken. This dish was really salty. Is that how columbian food is suppose to taste like? salty? I’m not much of a expert in this area of cuisine. Prices are expensive. My one shish kabob plate came out to be $ 14 for to go. That is a bit much for the quality that I got.

Definitely try the juices and smoothies here. Lots of exotic fruits. We got two different platters. Both were loaded with meats. The rice and beans were flavorful. I like the seasoning they used on the meats. Will RTE soon.

Came here last night and the food was great. We got the empanadas as app and it was prob the best empanadas I’ve ever had. They give you two different kinds of salsas that are really simple but delicious. The red one is spicier of the two but they both go great on everything. It’s not like your typical tomato-based salsa, but more like a vinaigrette with green onion and other little bits of yumminess. We ordered the Picada Casa Vieja and the blood sausage and ground beef with rice. The portions are huge and everything was cooked perfectly. The ribs and the pork skin was amazing! The only thing I would say about this place is that afterwards you go home super bloated and dry mouthed because of all the salt. But it’s so damn good. I was looking at all my leftovers in the box and was just thinking that all of that awesomey fried goodness won’t taste nearly as good the next day. What a shame. In this epic battle of woman versus food, food won!
