Dallas Makerspace

All I need to say is 3D printers! This place is bad ass. They have tons of really cool things here, from woodworking, metal working, computers, sandblasting, almost anything you can think of is being done here. The people here were really cool and all took a moment to let us see what they were working on. It was a great way to spend a couple of hours. Oh, did I mention 3D printers!

Calling all geeks, techies, and wood shoppers! If you have a creative mind, this place is for you! There are computers that take your plain old photograph and makes it rad by printing it on a 3-​D plastic plate, or you could print a 3-​D statuette or bust of yourself! AMAZING, huh? It really is. There are areas for wood working, sewing, graphic design, soldering, and more. It is very low-​key for being so high tech. It’s member ran, and there is a membership fee, but we went as guests of a member who is also on the «board». If you only go once it would be memorable! Not sure if they generally give tours, but if you want, I can see if I could get you in for a looksie.
Our kids were so intrigued, and so were their parents! ;)
