First time here, the service was fast and friendly. I had the fajita tacos and they were awesome, the best part is you can add what you want in the tacos.

First time going to this place and I loved it! Quick service, clean, and tasty tacos! The quality of the tacos is worth the price. I like that they have a salad bar set up and provide a wide range of choices! Staff was extremely nice and helpful!

This is a great new taco joint in mid-Carrollton that is going to bridge the gap nicely between the authentic taqueria(there is one next door) and the general population of Carrollton. Most non-Hispanics aren’t going to drop into a hole-in-the-wall where they aren’t confident that the staff will speak English or that there are going to be any tables to eat at, but they will feel comfortable here in Don Tacos. The staff is great and eager to serve, the restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, and the food is delicious. Don Tacos are much more authentic street tacos than some of the nicer restaurants out there serving them. On my first visit, tacos and quesadillas was really all they were offering. They do have something called a huarache which I am unfamiliar with but they look a bit like an enormous taco. However, on my second visit, they had added menudo on the weekends and a combo for 3 tacos, rice, and beans. This is what I recommend, if only because the refried beans are likely to be the best you have ever eaten. They mix them up with meat and you won’t be able to stop. On the tacos, you can choose between cabeza, lengua, fajita, pollo, chorizo, pastor, and trompo. Cabeza is being honest about what barbacoa typically is(beef or goat head). Lengua is cow tongue, fajita is traditional steak, pollo is of course just chicken, chorizo is sausage, pastor is well-seasoned pork, and trompo is heavily-seasoned spinning meat, I think it was pork. The trompo is tasty but quite fatty, so be warned. Any American will like fajita and pollo, but I recommend trying pastor too. Don Tacos offers a salad bar of salsas. You can choose from the traditional onions and cilantro, or pickled onions(spicy), radishes, or cucumbers. On sauces, there are four different green salsas and a red salsa. Unfortunately, and this is a big drawback but easy to fix, Don Tacos doesn’t label them. The green salsas proceed from no-spice to knock-your-pants-off-even-if-you-like-spice. The pureed opaque one is the spiciest, the lightest-colored green salsa is the mildest. Stop in for a quick meal, and be sure to order the horchata! It’s rice milk with cinnamon, and you’ll love it.

This was my first visit to Don’s Taco’s and I just had a craving for a midnight snack and this return y was it. This is a new place at least it is new to me. The taco bar for the sauces was a no go for me because it didn’t have the name of the sauces. Let’s just say the green sauce is HOT! The tacos by are street tacos and I ordered two pastor and one fajita taco they average $ 1.50-$ 2.00 a taco. The fajita taco wasn’t fajita meat I really don’t know what it was. I can’t say I would return anytime soon.

Very tasty and authentic street tacos. Its clean and I love that they have a salad bar type of setup with all kinds of salsas and garnish such as fresh whole jalapeños and cilantro. Will be back and I love that it’s close to home.

The quesdillas on homemade corn instead of flour are amazing, featuring a blend of cheeses and your choice of meat. Seriously delicious. All of the sodas are the real deal from Mexico.

To start, their address is 3065 N Josey. I wish I could give them three and a half stars, because they deserve better than just three. Their al pastor tacos are delectable. At each bite animal noises were coming out of my mouth. I only ordered three, but wish I had more. I will be back to try some of the other menu items. I loved the green salsa too. The interior is very sparse but very clean. The folks are friendly and ready to teach gringos! Must eat there again soon!

Great little street tacos that are cheap like they should be. There is a little topping bar where you can load your taco up with cilantro, onions, etc and about 6 different salsas. Mexican drinks are cheap too. We’ll stop in for another snack if we’re in the area.

This place just opened a few days ago but it has potential. The tacos are very south of the border street tacos. The pastor, bisteca and carne asana were very good. I am not a big fan of cabeza or lingua so skipped those. We also tried the quesadilla and that was also really good. For a quick, cheap($ 1.50 each) taco you can’t beat this little place. I will definitely go back.
