My boyfriend and I both got the mixed grill where they have a little of everything from the grilled portion: lamb, chicken, etc. Along with some rice, salad, and naan. LETMETELLLLLLLLYOU. The food was worth coming for. I expected the meat to be slightly dry because my past experiences with other Indian restaurants were«slightly dry», but no. The chicken, lamb, and beef were all tender(which was surprising) and the aroma all together was just outstanding. The rice was mediocre and their naan was hot and fresh! Not to mention this place was poppin with Indian music with lots of people. Unfortunately, the only reason why I didn’t give this place 5 stars is because the service wasn’t as quite as fast as I wanted. She was very nice, but I was sitting at my table for like ten minutes thinking, «where my water at girl». Nevertheless, I will definitely come back to try their masala and biryani!

Overall experience was average, not disappointing yet not overly impressive either. Best item here was the beef seekh kabob. Chicken tandoor items were a bit on the bland side. Beef samosas were ok. The décor and interior is 1950s Johnny Rockets style coupled with large vintage pictures of Bollywood stars. The place was empty for dinner on a weekday. Not sure I’ll be back anytime soon

Before talking about the food or the service, we have to discuss the ambiance. I’m not entirely sure what kind of vibe they were going for. You walk in and this place is totally styled like a ‘50s diner. Every single detail about it screams ‘50s diner… until you see all the Bollywood posters and you hear the Indian music playing over the speakers. Those last two things make perfect sense given the nature of the restaurant, but the ‘50s diner thing threw me off a little. I chalked it up to the owners wanting a quirky vibe and chose a booth, because who chooses a table in a ‘50s diner? The service at first was very questionable. A lady gave us menus and took our drink orders and immediately brought us our waters. Awesome! But she also asked if we were ready to order even though we had been in the restaurant for less than two minutes. That’s okay, just give us a little more time… an then she never returned. Eventually, ten minutes later, someone else came and took our order, but what happened to you, original waitress? Service snafus aside, the food was fantastic. We got an order of vegetable samosas to start and those were pretty great. A little too bready, but the filling was just as tasty as I expected. I ordered the chicken biryani and it was awesome. I chose the bone-in chicken, because bone-in adds so much more flavor, but you can get boneless chicken for $ 2 more if you prefer. They brought out a sizable bowl of biryani and I was able to portion it out into three decent sized lunches. That’s pretty awesome for $ 8.99 if you ask me. My boyfriend ordered a goat curry and he ate every bit of it. It appears that their curries come with naan, but not rice, so you might have to order some if you prefer to eat your curry with rice. John prefers naan, so he just took some of my rice from my biryani.(See? Look at that! Three lunches AND John used some of my rice. The biryani is a ton of food.) I’m pretty glad that we decided to just give this place a try without doing a whole lot of research on Unilocal because it worked out pretty well for us. Yeah, the ambiance is a little strange and the service wasn’t great at first, but the food more than made up for it and, once we actually had our order taken, service was smooth. I’d come back here, that’s for sure.

The biriyani was decent, the kebab I tried which had some ground meat(don’t remember the name of it) seemed like it was trying tooooooo hard with the flavors. The interior has a retro feel inside with many creepy large posters of bollywood actors staring down at you. It was eh over all. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here again.

They charged us full price buffet for children 8&10 years. They would not bring nan even after asking for it several times, just because the owner saw a nan on our table.

I had been to this place once before while visiting my house in Denton. The food was good and the place kinda quirky with the Indian/American diner décor. I was excited to come back today. Me and my wife sir down and I try to order a Kabob(It’s the Kabob Factory). I am then told they have no kabobs? The waitress say the cook isn’t making them today. I was really disappointed. I got the Chicken Tikka Masada instead which was good but if you name you place Kabob Factory? Try having a cook who wants to make them.

Came here for lunch on Thanksgiving day. The grilled chicken, goat biryani, and chicken biryani is to die for. The restaurant has a diner feel to it that might throw you off when looking for the place.

Don’t get a seat facing the bar if you don’t want to be stared down by Bollywood movie stars! There are at least 2 huge posters with some guy pointing a gun at the viewer. Feels like you’re about to get shot at while eating! The server was very friendly. The food was all right. The chicken tikka was a bit dry and the shrimp was too greasy. Though, I would not come back for the entrees, I would come again for the chewy and delicious naan bread as well as the beef samosa appetizer.

I’ve gotten take out from here twice now. Great prices for the quantity of food, and good food(equivalent quality to what I’m used to ordering at India Palace for ½ the price… well ¾s the price and two times as much food).

I found this restaurant by accident while looking for a place to eat. I was coming back from dropping off a friend in Oklahoma City. I had the Goat Kebab, it came with naan bread, some carrot and onion slices and a chutney. My buddy had Beef Kebab(boring). I noticed a community of Indian restaurants in the vicinity, so I took a chance. This would be the go to place if you want authentic Indian fair.

We came here to get a quick bite at 3pm on Sunday and it took a long time get the food and the service was so slow with only 2 other tables occupied in the entire restaurant. We tried Mango Lassi and it was refreshing but sadly it was the only decent item at this place. Chicken tikka masala was like thick tomato soup with some Indian spices and left over dried burnt chicken kabob. We never seen cubed grilled chicken(with grill mark) in tikka masala, we immediately knew it was left over kabob from lunch. Naan was like thick flavorless old pita bread. Biryani with boneless chicken wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either. The chicken was over salted and we couldn’t figure out what was the black balls that looked like burnt chicken but it wasn’t chicken. It was so gross. We wanted to try this place based on 4 star rating on Unilocal but it was a bad idea, we will never come back here. Waste of money and time!

I love the Bollywood ambiance here. Posters of Bollywood everywhere in a 50’s diner style, pretty cool! The menu is expansive including authentic Indian/paki food as well as other items like hamburgers, nachos and tacos. I’m talking all kinds of kabobs, Bryani, chicken 65(yes please!!), nihari, haleem, rack of lamb… it goes on and on. I love how they incorporated American dishes into the mix and everything’s affordable. We ordered the bihari kabob, chicken tikka masala, the cheeseburger and the hot mess burger. Hamburgers were pretty good, grilled and messy the way I like. The chicken tikka masala was pretty good. Tasted creamy and fresh. The knock out dish was the Bihari kabob. We will return for sure!!! As a side note, do not order the lemonade. Not fresh and pretty terrible.

We were looking for a halal indian buffet and found this place. Went there for the weekend buffet and a friend of mine asked from where do they buy the chicken, they said they buy it from Costco :(. TOTALDISAPPOINTMENT! My friends and I were not sure how ‘halal’ costco chicken were, so we skipped the chicken dishes… which was in fact, more than half of the buffet dishes. Also, seemed a little pricey than their competitors.

Recently visited this lovely mash-up of Indian/Pakistani food restaurant with a friend for dinner. Though the location was quite difficult to find amidst all of the construction and mess, I’m glad I did finally find it. Its located on the side of one of many buildings in that shopping strip, FYI. The environment is kind of cheesy in a fun way, if you ask me. It retains 50’s-esque décor(with the classic Cadillacs and what not) which I have no idea how that pertains to the cultural food but hey, its fun. The service was prompt and helpful. We had a few questions about the food which were addressed well. My only qualm with service would be that when we tried to split 2 dishes on our receipt, as we said we would be ahead of time, we were treated like this was a ridiculous request and they absolutely would not meet it. Unfortunate, since we really only did split two of the many dishes we ordered and the rest were solely for my friend. Anyway, the food itself was absolutely delicious, and that’s what matters most! We split chakra with chicken(a bit burnt but still good) and biryani — sooooooo good. I also loved that they had strawberry lassi(a fun change from mango). My friend also ordered kebabs and shrimp appetizer which she enjoyed. I’d definitely recommend this place but be sure to take some time to really hunt down the location and don’t plan on spliting plates ;)

Pakistani Punjabi and northern India influenced. So here is how I rate restaurants. 1. Flavor 2. Value for my money 3. Service And this review is strictly for the weekend buffet which starts at 12. Flavor is very good. Of course this is not the best Indian food I have ever eaten but refer to number two. Overall I would put it up there with Dimassi, Afra, and Flavors. Very good value for the money and right down the street. Service was also good. Refer to my pics to see what they offer. And a must is the Paya so decandent but so good.

Ordered chicken biryani, chicken 65 and palak paneer. All quite well done. The spinach had a unique taste than what i’ve had at other places, but it wasn’t bad, just different. We would have this again. Garlic naan was super garlic-y, so know they are generous in the garlic. I’m new to eating Chicken 65(dry) and theirs was really quite flavorful and a pretty dish. This was our second visit. I know they do a buffet on the weekends, but I think I prefer ordering off the menu more. 5% discount if you pay in cash.

After my delicious, but slow lunch last week, I decided to come back and bring a friend to see how my dining experience stacked up this time. When we came in, there was only one other table. ASSOONAS we sat down, the waiter handed us our menu and immediately asked us if we were ready. I thought he was joking so I laughed like I always do when presented with a silly question. «No,» I said. He turned around, and I swear he made a quick lap around the register, came back 10 seconds later and asked if we were ready again. Nope, not yet. «Maybe just two minutes.» Two minutes exactly, we ordered even though my friend who’s not famililar with Indian food felt rushed. Two lunch specials and an order of samosas to start out with. He didn’t write down our order, which scared me because it didn’t seem like he was fully listening.(Red flag, red flag!) My chai tea came out along with my friend’s water. «Can I have a water as well whenever you get a chance?» Our waiter nodded and ran off into the distance. To get me water, you ask? Nope. He instead, saw that HIS food was ready in the serving window, grabbed it, sat down in a booth in front of the register and began eating with another employee, just hacking and sneezing all over the damn place. 15 minutes later when our food was ready he brought it to us and asked us if everything looked okay. It looked amazing. I asked for my water and before I could ask about our samosas he ran off again. He brought me my water finally and when I asked about our appetizer, he did what every good human being does when they know they’re wrong, and lied. «Yeah, it’s coming right now. It’s still cooking.» Riiiiiiiiiiight, buddy. I saw the look on your face… You forgot, just admit it. Foods great; I got goat everything and it was all was yummy. 20 minutes passed and we’re now done with our meals. I saw the guy’s head pop up from the kitchen window once and it reminded me of a groundhog. I was trying to catch him to tell him to cancel the appetizer when he finally brought them out. Haha! I’m laughing because it was just so terrible. Am I being punk’d?
